"Hello sir," An officer said to me as I walked into the police station, I guess he knows who I am.
"Where is Jimmy?" I asked him without replying to his greeting as I am not in the mood for that.
"Excuse me, Sir, who are you talking about? I mean, there is no one by that name here, Sir," The police officer told me.
"Mr Kyle, what brings you here?" Another police officer said and asked walking towards us, before I could respond to the officer who just spoke to me.
"And you are?" I asked turning from the officer in front of me to him.
"I am officer Scott, don't tell me that you have forgotten me so soon, Mr Kyle, Greenwood," Officer Scott said to me lifting his eye brows a little, "How is Miss Sonia doing?" He added smiling from the corner of his lips.
"Officer Scott, I am not here for frivolities, a man by the name of Jimmy was brought to your station today, I want him to be released, that is why I am here," I told him bluntly stating my reason for coming to the police station, getting irritated by him for asking me about Sonia.
"I am sorry, sir, but may I ask who ordered for his arrest?" Officer Scott asked getting serious, I could see how he looked at me but that is no concern of mine.
"My Dad ordered for his arrest," I replied him.
"Your Dad?" He asked, sounding surprised and looking at me in a manner I do not understand, it is as if the mention of my Dad, brought fear to his heart.
"If I may ask, did he ask for him to be released?" Officer Scott asked again.
"I want him to be released," I told him.
"I am sorry sir but you need to speak to my superior about this," he told me leading the way to meet another officer.
"Excuse me, Sir, this is Mr Kyle Greenwood..."
"I know who he is," the officer who officer Scott brought me to said almost immediately, interrupting him.
"Welcome, Sir, please have a seat," the officer said pointing to a chair in front of his table.
"I did not come here to sit down," I told him almost immediately.
"Please do sit down, sir," he said rather pleadingly, that I had to sit down so that I can get to why I have come here.
"Oh, okay, what can I do for you then, Mr Kyle?" He asked after I am seated.
"I want a man in your custody to be released immediately," I told him going straight to the point too.
"Excuse me, who is this person and who got him arrested?" The officer asked me looking into my face.
"The man's name is Jimmy, Officer and the person who had him arrested is my Dad, I want you to release him at once," I told him authoritatively.
"Excuse me, Mr Kyle, but is your Dad aware that you are here for this purpose? I mean he ordered us to get the man arrested, and until he says otherwise, I can't let him go." The officer told me.
"Excuse me? You will not let him go?" I asked and furrowed my brows at him.
"For what crime are you keeping him here for?" I asked getting angry at the police officer.
"For trespassing on your Dad's property, did your Dad not tell you about it?" The police officer said and asked me, he is getting me irritated right now too.
"And how are you so sure?" I asked him almost raising my voice at him, "Or you just arrested the man because my dad said so,"
"Not because your Dad said so, Mr Kyle, he was found in your house trying to force his way in," the officer said again staring at me rudely.
"Did you bother to find out why he wanted to force his way in my house?" I asked staring at him.
"Whose side are you on, Mr Kyle?" The officer asked after a while, sitting back on his chair.
"That man is my friend and my Dad misunderstood his reason for being at my house, so I want him to be released and I am not leaving here without him," I told the officer banging my fist on his table and staring into his eyes.
He stared at me for a while and then picked up the telephone sitting on a side of his table and dialled a number, I wonder who his calling but I do not care, I know he Will not be able to do a thing to me because of who I am and I am not leaving this station without Jimmy as my mind is made up.
"Hello, Sir, it is me," he said into the telephone, "Okay, Sir," he said again shortly afterwards.
"Officer Scott," He called after dropping the telephone.
"Sir," Officer Scott answered, standing in front of him.
"Release Mr Jimmy," he ordered officer Scott.
"Yes, Sir," he replied and left us immediately afterwards.
A few moments later he returned with Jimmy, whose face looks stain, I bet that he is so angry right now, he said nothing to me but grinned at me instead.
"You are free to go, Mr Jimmy, do not cause trouble anymore," the superior officer told Jimmy.
"Do your jobs properly, officer, because if you have, you would have know who is the guilty one," Jimmy responded to the officer angrily.
"Watch your tongue, Mr," the officer said to Jimmy eying him viciously.
"Do not tell me to watch my tongue," Jimmy snapped and continues, "I came here earlier to report to you that my friend's kids were taking from her forcefully, but what did you do? You asked me to go and sort it out with them after hearing who is involved, and you came, later on, to get me arrested for trying to do your job, why? Because of your greed for money," Jimmy said angrily and he is right about that, I still do not understand how my dad can control the police force in this city, I and my family are literally above the law here.
"I told you to shut up, young man, or I will have you rearrested for slandering a police officer," the officer told him angrily this time.
"Go on then, put the cuff on my wrist," Jimmy told him stretching out his arm to him.
"That won't be necessary, Jimmy," I said without looking at him, since I still have my eyes on the superior police officer, I know I should not be mad at him because he takes orders from a superior too so I guess his hands may be tied, but a corrupt officer is a corrupt officer and it pains me that my Dad is in on it among other influential men in the city.
"Take your friend out of here, Mr Kyle," The officer said looking at me.
"He is not a friend, so do not call him that," Jimmy snapped at the police officer, "what are you doing here anyway? And where are the kids?" He added turning to glare at me...
