"Open the gate," I heard Kyle tell the security man standing close to the gate, I did not see him before and I wonder why he is there leaning on his car.
"Where are my kids?" I asked angrily as I approached him.
"Hello, Kimberly," Kyle said instead.
"Hello, Mr Kyle," Vicky said to him when I did not respond to him.
"Hello, Miss Vicky," he said in return to Vicky.
"I asked you a question, Mr Kyle, where are my kids?" I asked again looking angrily from him to Vicky, hating the way she greeted him even when she knew the reason why we are here, is she with me or against me now, I asked within me.
"Our kids are fine, Kimberly, I only came here to get you after your friend called to tell me of your coming," he told me.
"Our kids?" I asked hating the sound of it, "you knew why I am here, Why did you not bring my kids along?" I asked him in clenched teeth, furrowing my brows at him.
"Come on, get in the car, I left them alone to come and get you, I do not want them waking up and not finding me there giving that this is their first time," he said instead ignoring what I just said.
I was about to say something when I heard some car horn at the gate, we all looked toward the gate to see Jimmy, he brought his head out from his car window for him to been seen by us I guess.
"Open the gate for him," Kyle told the security man who did as he is told immediately.
"I called him too, Kim," Vicky said to me when I gave her a stare, I guess she knew why I stared at her the way I did.
Without speaking to her or Kyle, I walked to Jimmy's car and stepped into it, Vicky followed me too and Kyle just entered his car and drove off with Jimmy driving behind him.
"What happened here, Vicky, did Kyle say anything to you guys?" Jimmy asked Vicky, I see as he peeked at me from the car mirror in front of him to look at me, Vicky too who is seated next to him in front of the car turned to peak at me too.
"Did he do something to you two?" Jimmy asked again when Vicky did not reply.
"No, Jimmy, he did not, Kim is angry with the way things are going," she replied him rather slowly.
"I am sorry, Kim," Jimmy said after a while.
"I am sorry too, Kim," Vicky told me too almost immediately.
"Sorry for what guys?" I asked, "look it is not your fault, okay," I told them and that is the truth, I wonder why they are apologizing to me in the first place.
We pulled over behind Kyle and followed him into his house as he gestured for us to follow him.
"Our guests arrived so early," Sonia said mockingly as we stepped into Kyle's living room.
Wow, this place is gigantic I said within me looking around the living room, I could also see how Vicky stared around the living room as well, I guess she is thinking what I am thinking, even Jimmy feel the same way judging by the look on his face, but that is not why I am here I reminded myself.
" I am not your guest, Sonia, I only came here for my kids," I replied her.
"What?" she asked me, "slow down a bit, don't you think it is too early for you to start making demands, and besides you do not have any right to demand anything here, you are here because my dad in law asked for you to be here and only because of your kids," Sonia told me.
I stared at her feeling the urge to slap her in the face this minutes because she is the reason that I am here in this first place, if she has not come to my house and taken my kids forcefully from me with those tugs of hers, I will still be with my kids safe in my house I said within me.
"There is no need to bata words with her, Kim," Vicky whispered to my ears holding my hand to try and calm me down, I guess you could see the fury in my eyes.
"Where are my kids, Mr Kyle?" I asked turning to Kyle.
"They are in my room," he replied.
"In your room?" Sonia asked before I could say anything.
"I checked your room earlier but it was locked," Sonia told Kyle, "Do not tell me that you locked them up in your room, what if they wake up and you are not there? Oh my gosh, Kyle, why will you do that?" Sonia asked Kyle pretending to be so caring towards my kids, if I did not know her that is how I would have felt.
"Yes, Sonia, I had to lock the door before stepping out and it is all because of you, I do not want you to go anywhere close to them," Kyle replied to her, "and besides I knew I would not take long," he added.
"Stop all this nonsense both of you," I said raising my voice a little, getting irritated by their argument, "I want to see my kids that is why I am here, I want to take them home with me," I said referring to Kyle.
"Excuse me, did I hear you right?" Sonia asked widening her eyes to me.
"Did, Kyle not tell you that the kids are no longer going home with you?" Sonia added looking from me to Kyle.
"Shut up b*tch, I am not talking to you," I yelled turning to face Sonia angry because of what I just heard her say even though I have heard it before but the words coming from her mouth like this made my blood boil.
"How dare you call me a b*tch?" Sonia asked rushing towards me, I guess she wants to pick a fight with me and I feel quite prepared for her because of how angry I feel right now especially towards her.
"Hold it right there, Sonia," Kyle said grabbing her hand and stopping her from coming closer to me.
"She did not come here for this, have you forgotten that that is just coming from the hospital," Kyle said pushing Sony aside.
" I will not take this from her, Kyle, you hear me, and you should be scolding her not me," Sonia yelled at Kyle, "in fact, I am going to call Dad and Mum right away and I will report to them what you have done here," Sonia said and work angrily out of the living room.
"Come with me Kimberly, let me take you to Alex and Sandra," Kyle said turning towards another direction opposite the Sonia used, I followed him immediately without a word, Jimmy and Vicky followed behind me too.
