Kyle Greenwood’s POV
"Kyle..., Kyle..." I heard a faint voice calling out my name, accompanied by a faint sound.
I slowly opened my eyes to realise that it is someone knocking on my door and calling out my name as well.
I groaned as I rubbed my palms on my eyes trying to clear the drowsiness from them.
"Kyle, open up, I know that you are in there," the voice called and tapping on my door, I recognise the voice now.
"What is she doing here?" I asked within me, I thought I made it clear that she should not disturb me, why the heck is she here? I asked within me again, pulling my pillow and pressing it on my ears to try and stop myself from hearing her voice.
I had laid on my bed with my mind wondering on so many thoughts after I left Kimberly's house, I was contemplating on how to get through to her so that we can have a decent conversation about the situation between us, I did not know I dozed off.
"Kyle, open up, look I am not going to leave here until I have talked to you so you better open up," Sonia said, knocking hard on the door this time or maybe it sounded loud because I am fully awake.
"F*ck!" I groaned, throwing the pillow off my ears angrily since it did not stop me from hearing her, what does she want? I said to myself standing up from the bed to answer the door.
"What do you want? I told you that I do not want to be disturbed did I not say so?" I asked Sonia angrily when I opened the door.
"Slow down, Kyle," she said almost immediately, "If it was not important I would not be here," she added walking into my room arrogantly.
"What do you want?" I asked her leaning on the wall, trying to be calm, and staring at her, I do not have the energy to fight with or argue with her.
"I said slow down, Kyle," she said, sitting on my bed and crossing legs, and eyeing me seductively with a smile on her face, now that I took a close look at her I think she is in a happy mood and I wonder what she is up to now or what she has done already.
"Come and sit beside me, Kyle," Sonia said gesturing for me to sit beside her on the bed.
"Get on with it, Sonia, I do not have time for this," I told her rather slowly, folding my arms under my breast.
"You are so uptight, Kyle, loosen up," she said making a rather wired face, "Anyway, I do not want my mood to be ruined, Kyle, because as you can see I am in such a happy mood," she added sounding happy and trying to be childish.
I just stared at her without saying anything, I just can't wait for her to get done with what she wants to say and leave my room, or if I see that she does not want to leave, I would leave for her instead, I am heartbroken as it is already and I do not want to waste the little energy I have got on her.
"Guess what?" She asked as her eyes lit in laughter.
"I cannot guess, Sonia, tell me what is so important that you have to wake me up from my sleep," I told her, still in a calm manner.
"I have a present for you," she said immediately after I finished my statement.
"Excuse me?" I asked surprised and thinking I did not hear her right.
"I said I have a present for you, a lovely present," she told me again still making those childish expressions.
"You have a present for me," I asked now but almost to myself, wondering what she is up to now, "Is that why you woke me up?" I asked again, trying not to be angry.
"Yes, Kyle," she replied, nodding her head in acknowledgement, widening her eyes at me.
"Oh my goodness!" I exclaimed, but to myself, rubbing my palm on my face and then staring steadily at her.
"What?" She asked, making a face.
"You know what, Sonia, I don't have time for this," I said almost to myself.
"What did you say, Kyle?" She asked, her brows furrowed at me.
"It's nothing, I remembered I have a place I need to be, so I will just go, for now, thanks for waking me up, I completely forgot about it," I told her walking towards my wardrobe to get a shirt to put on, since I do not have any on right now.
"What? Kyle, don't tell me you are running away, you did not even ask what the present I have for you is," Sonia told me.
"Whatever it is can wait, I will see it when I get back," I told her pulling out a shirt from my wardrobe and putting it on, "you can give them to mum to hold for me if you can not wait, I am already running late, shit, I forgot," I said, buttoning my shirt as fast as I could, pretending to be in a hurry.
"Oh, what a shame, Kyle, I wanted to present this gift to you myself, I know you are going to love it," Sonia added.
"Sorry, Sonia, but I have to go," I told her again, now standing by my door, gesturing for her to go out of my room so that I can lock the door.
"It is alright, Kyle, maybe I will have to wait for you then, I will show the present to you when you get back," Sonia told me walking out of my room.
"Alright, then," I replied, locking the door, It is a good thing she told me if her intention to wait for me, I think I will have to spend the night in a hotel then, rather than being bugged by her tonight...
