"What are you doing back here, Mr Kyle," Kimberly asked, furrowing her brows at me the moment she opened her door and saw it was me standing in front of it, I knew she was going to react this way, I mean, I gave it so much thought before coming to knock on her door and I even practiced a few words to say to her but looking at her now, I cannot even speak a word to her.
"I asked you a question, what are you doing back here, Mr Kyle? I thought I told you that I do not want to set my eyes on you again, please leave me and my family alone," she said furiously and was about to slam the door in my face when suddenly I held onto it stopping her from doing that, I did not know how I manage to do that anyway.
"Are you trying to force your way into my house again?" she asked glaring at me.
"No..., Kimberly," I summoned the courage to say even though I stammered a bit.
"It is Mrs Kimberley, got it?" she said furiously correcting me.
"Alright, Mrs Kimberley please give me a chance to talk to you, I come here in peace, please hear me out I beg you," I told her pleadingly.
"I do not want to hear anything from you, Mr Kyle, go away and stop coming here, please stop coming to my house, I do not want any more connection with your family, especially your fiancée, I told you she was here the last time you came here, and I do have a husband and kids here and I do not want my kids to constantly see us like this, I mean, this is new to them, I have been living peacefully with my family until you knocked my son down with your car, now I am asking you to go and not show your face here anymore," Kimberly told me furiously, and try to close the door on me again but I still held onto it, stopping her from doing that.
"Please, Mrs Kimberly, give me a chance, give me a chance to explain something to you please," I said pleadingly hoping she would let me in and allow us to have a conversation like adults.
"What part of I do not want to hear anything from you, do you not understand?" Kimberly asked furiously, "please go away before my husband finds you here like this, I don't want you causing trouble in my home," She said clapping both palms together in her face rather pleadingly.
"What husband?" I suddenly flared up when she spoke of her husband again, a husband that I have never seen and a husband that I think does not exist, recalling what her children told me earlier about not ever having a dad, "tell me, what husband are you talking about?" I asked almost immediately again.
"Excuse me?" Kimberly asked furiously.
"Do not excuse me at all because you will not be excused," I told her angrily, losing my temper, "tell me, is your husband the father of your kids?" I suddenly asked, I know I have lost it here.
"How dare you? What are you talking about?" Kimberly asked, that is when I forced my way into her house without answering her question.
"And what are you doing, Mr Kyle? How dare you come to my home like this again...?" She was asking when I suddenly brought out the DNA results sheet and flashed it in her face, holding it out so that she can see it.
"And what is this?" She asked furrowing her brows at me this time.
"This, this is a DNA report?" I told her.
"What DNA report are you talking about?" She asked, her voice trembling a bit this time, as she stared at me.
"You can go ahead and take a look at it," I told her, she took the paper from me and stare at it for a while.
"What is this?" She asked again glaring at me now, I think I see the rage in her eyes or terror, I guess.
"The report in your hands shows that Alex and Sandra are my biological children," I told her furiously now.
"What?" She asked in a rather faint voice holding the papers again to her face, "what are you talking about? How do you mean? I mean, how did...?" She was asking sounding confused when I interrupted her again.
"I took the sample from Alex and Sandra the last time I came here, to be precise, their hair, I took strands of hair from them and I sent it to Dr Sam, I needed to know if they are my kids, I suspected that they could be mine that was why I did it," I told her.
"How dare you?" Kimberly snapped at me this time throwing the piece of paper to my face, "Now get out of my house, I said leave my house, Mr Kyle," she shouted pushing me towards the door.
"The kids are mine, why did you not tell me about it?" I asked her instead, suddenly feeling very sorry for her because of how terrible she looked right now and angry at the same time at myself, this is is not the way I wanted to tell her about it, I did not want us to fight about this but she would not give me a chance for a decent conversation.
"Stop it, Kimberly, I just want to talk to you," I told her pleadingly again.
"I said get out of my house this minute, Mr Kyle, I said, get out..." she kept on saying and pushing me at the same time towards the door.
I saw how terrible she looked and I think it is not wise for me to fight with her, or be stubborn.
"I will go, for now, Mrs Kimberly, but I will be back later so that we can talk calmly about this," I told her again.
"I do not want to talk to you about this, Mr Kyle, my kids are mine and not yours, I do not know what kind of report you have or how you come to have it," she told me still furious.
"My kids are not yours, they are mine and my husband's, so I do not want to see you ever again in my house," she said again and slammed the door in my face the moment she succeeded in pushing me out of her house or rather, I let myself out.
I stood still by the door for a while as tears suddenly began to fall from my eyes, this is not the way I had wanted this to go, I suddenly said out loud, hugging myself tightly, I never expected things to be like this, how can we ever have a decent conversation when she keeps getting angry at me all the time.
Please, help me, someone, help me please, I said looking up and praying to the high Heavens, something I have never done before.
I wish I could get help right now, I wish there could be a miracle right now because I think I am going to lose my mind, I feel like I am losing my mind already.
I slowly pick myself up after a while and walked to my car or rather staggered slowly to it, once inside, I lowered my head to the car staring and began to sob uncontrollably, blaming myself for all that has happened to me, it is your fault, Kyle, this is all your fault, I kept on saying wishing I Could Turn Back the Hands of Time, wishing I could go back to that night and change everything that had happened...
