"Oh, now you admit that you called the reporters," I said looking at Sonia furiously, I knew she did it, even without her admitting to it.
"You don't need to be mad at me, Kyle, I did it because I need to prepare you for your father's empire, Kyle, you don't know what good I am doing for you now until later, I'm sure you're going to appreciate me then," she said.
"What? What are you talking about now, Sonia?"
"Yes, Kyle, let's face it, hopefully, you are going to be in charge of the Greenwood’s empire someday, so you need to start portraying how good and kind-hearted you are so that Brian will not stand the chance against you when that time comes because you'll be having the support of the people to take charge and rule this city."

I stared at her why she speaks, now I know what all this rubbish is about, Sonia wants to be number one in this city and she needs me to accomplish her goals.

"Brian is my elder brother, and as an elder brother, he deserves to be in charge of dad's empire if he wants, heir or no heir, I don't even want that position anyway, I barely even know the family business let alone run it."

Oh mine goodness, I can't sit around here anymore listening to this nonsense, I said within me, I need to find out from Brain if he still gave that cheque to them even after I fought with him about it.
"Open this door, Sonia," I said in clenched teeth turning to look at her, she locked the car door so that I won't go out of the car.
"I cannot do that, Kyle, I promised your mum that I would bring you home in one peace, and am not about to go back on my word," she said, starting the car again, ignoring me completely she drove off.
