"The nerve of that woman," Jimmy told me as Sonia walked away.
"What did the policemen say?" I asked turning to Jimmy, he looked sad and I think I already know the answer to my question, "Sonia," I said in clenched teeth.
"He said his hands are tied, and that you can't get bail, he said the best thing for you to do now is to plead with Sonia,"
"What? Plead with Sonia? You heard what that b*tch said, didn't you Jimmy?"
"I heard her Kim, I heard what she asked you to do, that woman's crazy, I was actually considering asking you to plead with her and I was willing to do the same too, but when I heard her condition, it infuriated me, I must tell you," Jimmy told me looking very upset.
"She even said she's going to think about reducing my stay here if I go on my knees and apologize, can you imagine that?" I asked, biting down my lower lip angrily again.
"That b*tch owes my son an apology, she owes me an apology for locking me up like this away from my kids and she dares to tell me to apologize to her?"
"I do not blame her, she's rich and has influence too, if not tell me why I would be locked up in here like this with no justifiable reason, and on top of that I can't get bail, because madam Sonia says so."
"Calm down, Kim, I need to make a call to a lawyer friend, I called him earlier but he didn't answer, let me try again, excuse me one moment," Jimmy told me holding his phone to his ear.
I walked to a corner of the cell and sat down, I feel like am losing my mind now, all this won't be happening to me if not for that Kyle of a man, he is just bad luck, the first time we crossed part, my life went from being blissful to being bitter, as if that wasn't enough, the bitterness took away my mum's life, now our parts have crossed again and my son is fighting for his life, to make things worse his fiancée has locked me up in a police cell away from my kids, I wonder if I am ever going to wake up from this nightmare.
It's enough that I have to become a single mum and to raise my kids all by myself, but having this drama in my life, is something I never want to reckon with.
Things have turned out this way between me and his fiancée because Kyle donated his blood to Alex, how much more when she learns that Kyle is the biological dad of my kids, what will happen then?
"You must never let Kyle find out about this, not to mention Sonia, since she's going to be the wife of Kyle, that woman is a w*tch, I said within me.
"Having problems with a rich lady?" The rugged lady in the cell asked me, I noticed she has been looking at me since I came in here, only I do not want to concern myself with her, because she is not even on the list of my worries.
"Excuse me?" I asked, not comprehending the reason for her question.
"You seem like you are having problems with the rich lady who left some moments ago," she said instead.
"Yes," I replied, and nodded my head briefly in agreement.
"Do you know her?" I asked instead, I noticed the way she was looking at her before, I think she might know the lady.
"That's Miss Sonia Roberts, off course I know her, I mean, who doesn't know her in this city?"
"Well, I do not know her, I've never even heard of her before," I snapped at her, hating the fact that she is a well know person, I mean an ill-mannered person like her.
"So many people know her here, am surprised that you don't know her, you must be new in this city," she told me.
"Well, I moved into this city a few years ago,"
"That explains it then, I heard you went and slapped her, you should never have done that," she told me and continues.
"She is the soon to be wife of the youngest son of the Greenwood’s, that family is one of the richest families in this city, if not the richest, they practically own this city and Miss Sonia is going to be their daughter in law, you can imagine how much influence she has already, so I think you should do as she says so that you can get away from here," she told me.
"Excuse me?" I asked looking at her, her words getting me more infuriated than I am, no wonder they behave in that manner.
Now I think I understand what those policemen talked about when they said something about me being caught in a web.
"There's no use being angry, that's the world we live in, I heard your child is in the hospital, why don't you swallow your pride and plead with her, so that you can go back to your son." I just stared at her as she speaks, it's easier said than done, I thought.
What if Sonia changes her mind after I am done apologizing to her?" I asked the lady even though I hated thinking of myself to do such a thing.
"Yes, I know, but it's what giving a try isn't it, look if I were in your shoes I would have done that the moment she asked me to, provided it will take me back to my child." She said, and I'm surprised that this is coming from a lady looking as a rugged as she is, I guess I misjudged her.
"By the way, my name is Katy," she said introducing herself,
"I'm Kim," I replied, she sounded very different and cool spirited, I wonder what brought her here in the first place "Why are you here?"
"Call it my destiny," she replied, "I would say that I am being arrested because of my looks," she continues, "whenever there's a problem, I would always take the fall for it, because of my looks, even when am not to blame,"
"Well, I'm sorry about that..." I was saying when Jimmy reappeared again.
"What happened?" I asked immediately standing up on to my feet and walking closer to the cell bars.
"I'm sorry, Kim, He said he won't be able to do anything once I mentioned who is involved," Jimmy told me.
"I think that Sonia lady has so much influence in this city," Jimmy added.
"See, I told you so," Katy said.
"Excuse me, Kim, Vicky is calling," "Hello, Vicky," He said into the phone.
"Yes, I am,"
"Wait, what? Okay, I'll let her know," Jimmy said and hung up.
"What is it, Jimmy,? I asked impatiently as Jimmy walked towards me again, I heard when he said he would let me know.

"Calm down, Kim, You don't have to worry too much, cause your son is awake,"...
