Kyle Greenwood’s POV
"...I'm only asking you to let that lady go, her son's in the hospital for God's sakes, Sonia, why are you being so difficult?"
"Sonia, Sonia... shit," I cursed out loud throwing my cell phone on the bed, when she suddenly hung up on me.
She's one of the unreasonable and mean human beings on the surface of this earth.
How can Sonia be so mean as to arrest a woman whose son is in a critical condition in the hospital? What sort of a woman is she?
She is lucky I wasn't present in the hospital when she carried out this stupid act of hers, I wonder if Brain was there when she did it, of course, I won't be surprised if Brain was present, I should have asked Doctor Sam, look at the kind of woman dad and mum want me to get married to, she seems to be getting worse each day.
"Mum, Mum," I called walking back to the living room, I saw mum there a while ago when I came back from the hospital.
"Mum," I called again to gain her attention, she looked so engrossed in what she's doing that she didn't even notice how I staggered into the living room earlier.
"Yes Kyle, why are you yelling?" She asked, she didn’t even look up from what she's doing, although that's not why am here anyway.
"Mum, call Sonia please, tell her to come here at once, you know she listens to you," I told her, sitting myself down slowly on the couch.
"What is it this time, Kyle? When will the trouble between you and Sonia come to an end?"
"Mum please tell Sonia to come here immediately,"
"Why? What happened and why don't you call her yourself? She's going to be your wife you know," Mum asked and said looking up from the boxes in front of her, the mention of Sonia becoming my wife made my blood boil.
"Wait a minute, are you alright, Kyle?" Mum asked with this surprised expression on her face, I knew she would react this way if she sees me like this, that's why I tried to avoid her earlier and if not because of the stupid act of Sonia, I'd be lying on my bed right now taking a nap I guess.
"I'm alright mum, please just call Sonia for me, will you?"
"You're not looking good Kyle tell me what's wrong, why are you looking this week or are you ill? Is that why you're home so early?" She asked standing up from where she is seated, putting the boxes aside and coming over to sit by my side.
"Mum, Mum please, am alright?" I told her, when she placed her palm on my forehead trying to check my body temperature I guess, that's not what's important to me right now.
"Are you sure, Kyle? Cause you don't look alright to me," mum asked giving me a closer look.
"An not a kid any more mum, stop treating me like one, I said am fine"
"You're always going to be my kid, Kyle," mum told me, I know where this is headed, and I do not want to argue with her, I just need Sonia to be here this minute because there's no way she's going to refuse to drop all charges against Kimberly with mum here, I know she's doing all she can to be on mum's good side.
"If you are alright, then why are you home this early, or do you want to work from home?"
"I need to get some rest mum, that's why am here, maybe I'll work later, please just call Sonia to come here, please mum." I pleaded with her, and from the look on her face I know she's thinking whether or not to call Sonia here.
"Why don't you tell me what the problem is, son?" She asked and I think it's best to tell her anyway, at least she can see for herself the kind of woman Sonia is...
Doctor Sam called me up a moment ago, mum, to tell me what Sonia did at the hospital, I've barely entered my room when my cell phone rang," I tried to explain to her, "You know the lady whose son I ran into?" I asked her and she nodded in reply.
"Why? Did anything happen to her?" She asked.
"Mum, Sonia had her arrested over a silly misunderstanding, a misunderstanding she created herself."
"What? Sonia did what? Are you sure of what you're saying, Kyle?"
"If you don't believe me, mum, then call her, call her and find out for yourself,"
"Why? How is her son doing by the way?"
"I do not know, for now, mum, that's why Sonia needs to let his mum go so that she can go be with her son."
"Give me a minute," mum said standing up, I watched her walk back to her seat, she picked up her cell phone from the couch she was seated on and, I guess she is dailing Sonia's number.
She turned towards me with the phone in her left ear.
"Sonia, Can you come by the house?" She asked into the phone.
"Oh, you're on your way here already,"
"Okay, see you soon then," she said and put the phone down, "She’s already on her way here," mum told me.
"That b*tch," I said within me...
