"It's a little girl," Tobias smiles, ending the call. I suck in a breath before squealing loudly. I couldn't help myself, it's a girl thing.
"I knew it! I knew it would be a girl! Ahh, I'm so excited!" I squeal, clapping my hands together. I imagine dressing my best friends baby in little pink dresses, taking her to the park for picnics and buying her ice cream and sweets. A wide smile spreads across my face.
"I'm so happy for Emily," I say, continuing to help Tobias put the dishes away. He nods at me, looking deep in thought as he continues to pass me plates and cutlery.
"Do you ever want kids?" I ask him, wanting to get to know him better. He's always so mysterious, so closed off. Tobias pauses, thinking hard.
"I have no idea. I've never thought of it before."
He slowly turns towards me, a more playful smirk on his face. I suck in a breath, butterflies fluttering in my stomach from a simple look. It amazes me how much of an effect Tobias has on me.
"Are you offering to have my babies Trish?" He smirks, leaning back against the counter. I begin to choke on nothing but air, my eyes widening in surprise at his comment. My cheeks burn bright red and I spin around, unable to face him any longer. He starts chuckling loudly behind me, his laughter filling the room. I continue to blush a deep red, struggling to come up with a comeback.
Out of nowhere, I feel his body press against me from behind. I immediately freeze, every hair on the back of my neck stood up pin straight. He's stopped laughing, the only sounds of his heavy breaths down my ear. I can feel his chest rising and falling as he closes the small space between our bodies. I shiver, closing my eyes. Heat immediately curses through my blood and my fingers twitch to touch him, tug at his hair.
"T-Tobias..." I stutter, inhaling deeply. I don't dare move as I wait for his next move. He leans down, his breath tickling my ear. It makes me shiver again.
"You told me anyone would be lucky to have me," he whispers huskily, his voice causing my thighs to clench. I grit my teeth, struggling to control my hormones.
"I mean it," I whisper back, my throat dry. His hands immediately hold on to my waist, fingers pressing against the skin. Heat flares up in that spot, burning intensely. His head is bent over so he's nuzzling my neck, breathing in my scent. I'm still frozen in place, shivering everywhere from his touch.
He pulls my waist so I'm pressed tightly against him and I can feel his body press against me. I let out a gasp, his fingers disappearing underneath my shirt to trace over my bare skin.
Stop him Trish, stop him. You can't do this, it'll ruin everything you're working for.
I know I should listen to the voice inside my head but I can't pull myself away from him.
"Tobias, I don't think this — "
"Sugar, I need to forget everything . . . Just for a while." He mumbles darkly down my ear, his voice pleading with me. I can hear the vulnerability in the tone of his voice, I can sense the pain. I want to be the one to put it right for him.
"Can you make me forget?" He murmurs, his fingers continuing to massage my bare skin. I close my eyes and try to push him away but I can't so I slowly nod. Tobias lets out a heavy breath, taking it as his cue to continue. In a blink of an eye, I'm pressed up against the wall. I gasp as his lips press against my neck, firm and passion filled. My eyelids flutter shut and I reach for him, my hands finding his waist.
I whisper his name and he presses his hips into me, pinning me against the wall. He continues to hungrily kiss my neck, my collarbone, my chest. I arch my body into him, pleasure overcoming me. My hands roam underneath his shirt, pressing against his warm skin. I feel him shiver underneath my touch and a low raspy noise comes from his throat. I push him back so he's a few inches away because I want him to kiss me. I need to feel his lips on mine. His dark eyes are almost black with pleasure, hooded over with lashes so thick and beautiful.
"God Trish, you are good at this," he breathes out, closing the distance between us again. I freeze at his words, my heart lurching inside my chest.
"What did you just say?" I ask in disbelief, unable to believe I heard him right. All I can hear in my thoughts are his words in an arrogant tone, playing on a loop.

Like he's confirming what other people have told him.
I grit my teeth, pushing him as hard as I can. The heat inside my body disappears within a second and all I can feel is pain and anger. He's too strong for me, his shoulders broad and wide compared to my tiny frame. His hands continue to roam down my body and I yank them off me, my body shaking in anger.
"Tobias! What did you just say?" I snap at him, finally getting his attention. He stumbles back a few steps, his hand reaching up to fix his messy hair. His eyes are still hooded over, hungry for me or hungry to simply forget?
"Have you heard things about me?" I question him, my voice almost yelling. I can feel my words wobbling, threatening to break. Tobias frowns, his eyebrows creased in confusion. Guilt fills his eyes and I feel sick to my stomach. He doesn't need to reply, I already know his answer. I already know he was using me to temporarily fix his own problems.
"I'm good at what I do, is that it?" I yell at him, pain filling my chest. I get the urge to scream. He simply stares back at me, looking sheepish.
"I can't believe you, you fucking asshole! I thought you were different. You're the same as every other guy. Fuck you Tobias!" I scream, tears spilling down my face. I shove him hard, pushing past him to storm out of the house. His hand immediately grips onto my arm tightly, holding me in place.
"Wait! Trish!" Tobias pleads, the guilt in his voice increasing.
"I swear to god, if you don't get off me, I will punch you so hard." I hiss at him, angry tears still flowing down my face. He doesn't let go of me.
"I'm sorry, I shouldn't have taken advantage — "
Before he can finish his sentence, I turn around and punch him with my free hand, connecting my fist with his jaw. He groans and immediately drops my arm, setting me free.
"I never want to see you again." I cry, turning on my heel to run out of the house. Once I'm in the street, I bend over, pain filling my chest. I begin to sob uncontrollably, the pain tearing pieces of me away.
