Perhaps sensing our stares, Trish glanced at us and burst out laughing.
“I’m sorry. I really can’t wait to follow another episode of the movie series I followed on Netflix.”
“That’s why,” I said, peering at the phone she placed in front of her. I had just noticed also a set of blue tooth ear sets were on her ears.
“Trish- “Kim started to comment, but Trish cut him off.
“Sir, I’m sorry. I know it’s eating time,” she grinned shyly, a sense of guilt reflecting in her eyes. She hurriedly grabbed her phone and shoved it inside her wallet.
“No, it’s not what I mean. What’s wrong with having clothes during sex?”
Trish sighed, her face glowing with glints of relief. Then, she fished out for her phone again and replaced it on the table.
“Because, sir, I have read somewhere that you should respect your partner by taking off your clothes during sex. By doing it means you’re giving them your full time and attention, aside from the full arousal both can get. Because if you don’t, your partner may feel that you’re only using her for your release.”
I shifted between sitting up straight and slouching to ease my discomfort over their topic. I remembered that Zed always had his shirt on when he gave me oral pleasures. Oral pleasures because we always didn’t get to the point of penetration.

I turned pale when Trish suddenly threw her next question to me. I was then hesitant whether I should answer her or not. If I wouldn’t, they would suspect that I was having issues in that aspect. And If I would, they would see my sense of discomfort when they see my reaction. I was never good at concealing my emotion.
“Whatever the situation demands,” I replied, just wanting to play safe. If I would tell the truth that I preferred full nudity, Trish might think I was too lewd.
Trish fixed her gaze at me, her eyes getting rounder. “Do you mean you also do the quickie thing like sitting on top of him while watching a movie in cinemas? Or in the car? Or during swimming?”
I got horrified. Yes, I knew these kinds of sexual escapades happened, but for Trish to suspect I was also doing it gave me goosebumps.
“Shut up, Trish. Couldn’t you wait to do it at home where you can have full privacy?”
Trish rolled her eyes, then threw a helpless look at Kim. “Awe, really? You’re missing lots of fun as old-fashioned people do.”
Kim just chuckled; his voice was so rich and sweet, tugging on my heartstring. I flushed; it seems the redness had spread to my ears.
“Really, Miss Yen? You are blushing?” Trish giggled. I got so embarrassed that I really wished I could choke her.
“Call me old-fashioned then, but I’m really not comfortable talking about it.” I raised my head and looked straight into her eyes, avoiding Kim’s scrutinizing stare.
Trish looked at Kim, then back to me, and said, “I know it. You’re not comfortable with Mr. Kim yet, but Yen, our boss, is so cool. You don’t have to feel intimidated."
“Trisha, look at your screen. You’re missing a lot of scenes already.” Kim lifted his hand, pointing at Trish’s phone. I knew he diverted the topic intentionally because he must have seen how embarrassed I was.
“Ah, yes. Carry on your conversation, and don’t disturb me, alright?” Trish giggled, and Kim shook his head.
“Okay, go ahead, but don’t return to us with swollen eye bags later on,” Kim said, shrugging his shoulders before turning his attention to me.
I felt his eyes on me while I cut the steaks on my plate. Surprisingly, Kim bought those that my smell could tolerate. I was not fond of eating beef before this pregnancy, but I wondered why I suddenly liked it. Aside from beef steaks, he also ordered chicken pasta and some veggies that didn’t go against my deranged olfactory sensation.
“By the way, Yen, I plan to take you to our Asia branches and introduce you to them. Do you think you can manage?”
I looked up and met his gaze. “Of course, sir. Why not?”
“Your pregnant.” A worried expression covered his face.
“I can manage as long as they won’t treat me to a meal.” I smiled, throwing a glance at the food on our table.
Kim burst out laughing then looked at the food he ordered. “I’m glad I called Zed before ordering these foods.”
I gathered my brows as I stared at him. “Where do you get his number?”
“Your husband is a public figure, remember?”
I heaved out a sigh, wondering how Zed reacted when Kim asked him about my food preference. Yet, I couldn’t help appreciating his thoughtfulness.
“I forgot,” I replied, grinning.
He also smiled back, and suddenly, his built and his looks became more defined and attractive. I glued my eyes for a moment, finding it hard to take my eyes away from him. He then tilted his head and placed down his spoon and fork.
“Is there something wrong on my face, Yen?” he asked, his grin spreading wider.
I blinked in horror and laughed awkwardly, thinking of an excuse. “Sorry, sir. I was just thinking about something.”
Trish was with us, so I shouldn't dare call him by his first name.
“Just a joke. By the way, I’ll give you time to prepare this afternoon. We will be leaving tomorrow, if possible.”
I nodded, and my eyes plastered on him again.
People say pregnant women develop an unusual fondness or dislike over food, places, and person. In my case, I developed a dislike for spices and milk but abnormally liked beef and other foods I hated before. Some pregnant women even develop pica cravings, an unusual craving to eat things that aren't food, such as ice or clay. Science explains ‘pica craving’ as a sign of nutritional deficiencies like iron and zinc because pregnant women have increased nutritional needs. But what about sudden extreme liking of a person?
A ring on Kim’s phone saved me from my folly. He glanced at the screen, and before taking the call, he stood up and gazed at me.
“Yen, I have to take this call, and it might take longer. So eat well, and after that, you may go home and prepare. I’ll call you later for the flight information.”
A few hours later, I found myself at the clinic of Dr. Mitch. I wanted to use my planned travel as an excuse, but what dwelt in my mind was to ask her about my sexual issues with Zed.
