Infinite Range: The Sniper Mage Chapter 680

Godslayer’s top-tier streamer, SirLagsALot, spoke with a trembling voice. "But we won’t back down. We are Godslayer... the eternal and indestructible Godslayer Guild!" Heartbroken Loli sat beside him. Unlike the rest of the heavily armed Godslayer main combat squad, the two of them stood out—dressed to the nines, sitting in the prime observation post, live-streaming to billions around the world. Thousands of drones covered every angle around the Celestial Fortress, broadcasting the moment humanity officially declared war on interdimensional beings. This was a battle for the survival of all humankind. "We have to win! US adventurers never lose, never fall! Bring it on, Heaven Demons!" "No doubt about it—the strongest warzone in the world. These are the best adventurers among us. If they can’t hold the line... we’re all doomed." "US folks truly are descendants of my NUK ancestors. Same blood runs in their veins. They’ll come back victorious!" "If Orgod makes it back alive, drinks and barbecue are on me—all you can eat!" "US already charged in, and we’re still farming mobs? What the hell is Sword Soul Guild thinking?" "Everyone, hold your positions. Heaven Demons aren’t like regular monsters. If the US wants to throw themselves into the fire, let them." Across the globe, adventurers from every warzone were glued to the stream. Most of the top-ranking players on the Leaderboards held back, opting to observe rather than rush into the Abyss with the UJ warzone. This wasn’t a game—it was a merged world. No one truly knew how powerful the Heaven Demons were. Letting the US’s Triple Crown champion test the waters was the smartest move. "They actually set the battlefield inside the Abyss? If they wipe out the Heaven Demon vanguard before we get there, we’ll barely get any war merit." In a dimly lit tavern in the NR warzone, Kanting sat across from a rugged man, serious and tense. The man, unshaven and disheveled, guzzled black beer like water. He waved his hand, signaling to talk after finishing his drink. Kanting gave a helpless smile and downed his own glass. If any adventurer saw this scene, their jaw would hit the floor. This burping, hairy, beer-guzzling mess of a man was none other than Kalrien, the leader of Sword Soul Guild—long-time number one on the Leaderboards and the only one who consistently outperformed Usher. "He’s declaring war on the gods. Our goals aren’t the same as his." Kalrien reeked of booze as he spoke, but a sharp glint flashed in his deep purple eyes. Kanting frowned. "War on the gods? Isn’t this about the Heaven Demons?" "The Heaven Demons are strong, but they’re just the vanguard. The strength and density of what comes through the Abyss will change based on the strength of those who face them." Kalrien smirked coldly and continued, "You’ll notice Orgod’s name is no longer on the Leaderboards. He’s breaking free from the gods’ control—and for that, the puppeteers will try to erase him." Kanting froze. "You mean the Abyss... is being controlled?" "To be precise, it’s a trap—a kill-zone designed specifically to take Orgod down." Kalrien gave a slight nod, and Kanting felt a chill crawl down his spine as he looked at his older twin. Though they were twins, he had never felt that close to his brother. Kalrien was always so far ahead in every way. "The gods didn’t open the Abyss to wipe out adventurers. This is just a trial." Kalrien stood up, grabbed another pint of black beer, and chuckled. "The Heaven Demons headed to the edge of the galaxy? They’re not even a fraction of what’s coming." Raven: "Thirty thousand meters to target!" Dynasty Old Yin: "Forbidden Curse Cannon is locked and loaded!" Celestial Fortress, Demon God’s Palace, and the Emperor King-class battleship kept climbing in altitude. These three nation-grade war machines raised their shields and charged toward the Abyss like streaks of light across the Bright Galaxy. Blank walked up to Orson, voice low and tense. "US and Rusina have 172 intercontinental nukes ready." Orson nodded, taking a deep breath. All of these nuclear weapons had been upgraded with Forbidden Magic materials and were guided purely by inertia. Even if the Heaven Demons disabled satellite systems, the missiles would still reach their target. The real problem was the higher-tier Heaven Demons—some of them had space-manipulating abilities. Missing the target wasn’t the concern. The real fear was that a space-type Heaven Demon might redirect the missiles right back at them. So now, Earth’s most feared weapons, which had dominated for over half a century, were being used to make the first move—to make a statement. Give those Heaven Demons a proper welcome. Eyes, demonic and ancient, opened in the vacuum of space. A jagged, grotesque rift tore across the sky. Deep and silent, yet pulsing with a creeping dread. At the far end of the Abyss was a gateway to the unknown. It was the source of fear for all galactic civilizations. Even the light of the gods could not shine there without struggle. They fought tooth and nail in that place. They created the Infinite Dimensions to drag endless mortals and beasts into this never-ending war. No one remembered how this war began. Even the oldest galactic adventurers only knew one thing—no one escapes it. You either evolve into a weapon of the gods... or die like an insect, forgotten and unmarked. Heaven Demon Invasion! Heaven Demon Invasion! The warning lights lit up across every US alliance member’s interface, blaring red. This wasn’t just another monster wave. From within the Abyss, dozens of massive arms reached out—black as ink, each the size of an adult dragon. They looked like claws reaching from the underworld, desperately clawing their way into the world. "Holy crap... these things are nightmare fuel." Bradley swallowed hard. These arms were covered in fleshy tumors, oozing a sickly green fluid. Just one look, and you knew—this was bad news. Type: Mid-Tier Heaven Demon Attack: 28,000–32,000 Skills: Demon Spores, Gene Recode, Deadly Poison Fog "What the hell is this thing? That’s disgusting!" Iron Cavalry turned pale. The Heaven Demons looked like arms, but they had no bodies. Just seeing their levels and the sheer number of them was enough to make your scalp go numb. Then, in the midst of the green poison mist, several figures appeared. Their aura was dark and suffocating. Everyone tensed. Type: High-Tier Heaven Demon Skills: Blood Feast, Born of Carnage, Mimicry "Node commander," Orson muttered grimly. Flesh Devourers were infamous in the previous era. They weren’t exceptionally strong in raw power—but they were almost impossible to kill. One drop of blood was enough to infect an adventurer. That infected would become a Parasite, and the Heaven Demon would be reborn through their body—gaining access to all of the host’s skills. Even worse, they could level up and get stronger by devouring other adventurers, and their growth rate was insane. "Ghar’voh tra’laka goom!" (Heaven Demon ancient tongue) One of the Flesh Devourers raised a jagged limb and led the vanguard in a charge. Countless demonic shadows twisted in the Abyss, answering their commander’s call. In that moment, the sky turned black. The roar of demons echoed like a death knell. Sweat broke out on everyone’s foreheads. They turned to their comrades, hoping to find even a sliver of reassurance in their eyes. "Can someone translate what that freak in the fog just said?" Bradley frowned. Orson glanced over, helpfully making something up. "He said, ’That silver-haired dead man named Bradley—get over here and die.’" "I’ll rip his damn face off!" Bradley exploded. As the US’s number one warrior, there was no way he’d take that lying down. Before the Celestial Fortress even got close to the Abyss, he mounted Velorith and charged like a lightning bolt straight at the enemy. He swore he’d turn that lizard-faced freak into mincemeat. "Hell yeah, screw this noise! I’ll kill his whole bloodline!" Iron Cavalry wasn’t one to back down and immediately jumped in with his usual mouth. "Kill ’em all! I’m roasting those arm freaks for dinner!" "That humanoid bastard over there? Sashimi. And if anyone tries to stop me, they’re next!" Instantly, the dirtiest, loudest trash talk erupted like a wildfire, cutting through the crushing fear like a blade.
