Endless Rift narrowed his vertical eye at Orson, grinning coldly.
"But let me remind you—if the Heaven Demons can’t find you, they’ll head straight for Blue Star. That wouldn’t be good for you."
"You misunderstand," Orson replied calmly. "I don’t need the entire army to go invisible. Just the three divine-tier warships."
"You mean we play decoy?" Bradley raised his eyebrows, instantly intrigued. "Now that sounds like fun."
"Exactly. But before that, we need to get more of these."
Orson raised the Abyss Node Device in his hand. If there were nine major cities inside the Abyss, why not pay each one a visit?
If they could collect all nine node devices... maybe they could shut the Abyss down for good.
"Lead the way, little fish." Orson smiled at Mabubu.
The fish-faced commander panicked. "You can’t go! My lord, forgive me, but if Obseria hadn’t suffered a massive ambush, you..."
Bradley didn’t let him finish. He smacked Mabubu so hard the fishman staggered sideways.
"What? You trying to say we couldn’t take your city head-on?"
"No, no, that’s not what I meant!" Mabubu waved his fins frantically. "Among the nine cities, Obseria is... the most peace-loving! The others are far stronger than us!"
Orson understood. "Peace-loving" was code for "weakest." That meant the Ninth City was likely the strongest.
And though no one wanted to admit it, the fact that so many adventurers from Obseria survived a full nuclear and Forbidden Curse barrage meant they weren’t pushovers.
"I need an elite squad to make contact with the adventurers from the other galactic worlds."
Orson scanned the crowd.
Bradley was the first to raise his hand, grinning. "Time to stretch my legs. Let’s go bash some aliens."
Everyone nodded. If this was going to be a strike team, it had to be composed of the best in every class across the US coalition.
With two Divine Soul Seals and his Dragon Warrior status, Bradley was unquestionably the strongest frontline fighter.
"Who’s our assassin?"
Bradley glanced around for Blank, but Madman quickly reminded him, "Forget it, she’s pregnant."
"Oh... right. Then I choose you."
Bradley grinned as he pointed at Madman.
Madman’s stealth skills weren’t quite at Blank’s level, but when paired with Quarla, the two formed an unbeatable thieving duo.
"I, uh, need to stay behind and keep an eye on this one-eyed freak..."
Madman took a step back, only for Bradley to grab him by the collar and drag him forward.
"Don’t even think about slacking off."
"My girlfriend said I shouldn’t go far, she gets worried, okay?" Madman shot him a glare.
"You mean you’re afraid your new gear will drop if you die," Bradley said flatly.
"Tell you what, if Ruby gives you crap, I’ll talk to her myself. Big bro’s got you covered!"
"Oh please. If you were really that brave, she wouldn’t treat you like her personal errand boy," Madman muttered, but Bradley just dragged him along anyway.
"Alright, fine, but what about our healer? Stewart’s still back at base stacking curse buffs."
A white-robed priestess with a veiled face stepped forward.
Bradley frowned. "Who are you? Why hide your ID? What’s your angle?"
"Just tying up old grudges. Is that okay with you, Orgod?" she said quietly.
Orson’s expression changed slightly. Nearby, several anonymous members bearing the Glory Seekers tag revealed their identities—Alexander and DonutWizard.
Then, from the Dragon’s Kiss Guild, a man in black armor stepped forward—Reaver.
"S-rank dual-blade Death Knight! Ranked 89th on the Leaderboards!"
Someone shouted in recognition. Reaver had once gone berserk in the IND battlefield, solo-clearing over a thousand adventurers with just two swords.
Seeing so many familiar SSR veterans, the priestess’s identity became obvious.
She sighed and pulled back her hood. Her face was radiant, divine light fluttering around her like butterflies.
"S-rank Aurora Apostle... It’s Wedge!"
"Damn it! SSR scum, hiding right under our noses!"
"Get her out of here! Magical Fiancée, your guild will take in any trash now?"
Iron Cavalry and others immediately erupted in curses. Magical Fiancée looked innocent.
"Hey, this was a high-level US decision, alright?"
Back in Infinite Dimensions, Iron Cavalry and his squad had often clashed with SSR players. Every time Wedge showed up, they got stomped.
"Enough. We’re on the same side now."
Orson waved them off, then turned to Wedge with a half-smile.
"Whatever there was between us—it’s long over, isn’t it?"
Wedge seemed slightly surprised, then gave a faint, bitter smile.
"Yes... A god among mortals wouldn’t waste time on petty grudges."
She had mixed feelings. The gap between them now was vast. What once felt like a meaningful feud was, to Orson, probably just childish nonsense.
Orson sent a party invite. Wedge accepted it without hesitation.

Orson smiled and shook his head. It wasn’t mockery—it was mutual respect.

The internet exploded.

It felt like a dream.
