Infinite Range: The Sniper Mage Chapter 682

Chapter 682: 682: All Who Stand in Our Way Shall Be Destroyed The Imperial Dragon’s Roar. The three nation-grade warships unleashed another deafening barrage—three more Forbidden Curse shots fired in unison. Beams of annihilation tore through the night sky, ripped open the gateway to the stars, and shredded the bodies of the Heaven Demons. The full might of both Infinite Dimensions and the real world converged in that moment. Heaven and earth fell silent. The void trembled. No Heaven Demon, no matter the tier, could survive such devastation. It was a power meant to end worlds. Everyone stared at the Abyss above. The horrifying roar echoed nonstop. Even with shield barriers fully deployed, the ground kept shaking. It was terrifying beyond imagination. Orson’s fingers trembled uncontrollably, blood vessels bursting in his eyes. Before the Abyss opened completely, he had rallied everything at his disposal—nuclear weapons and Forbidden Curses—attempting to patch the hole between worlds with mortal hands. “Fireworks… Do you see the fireworks? Everyone around the world!” SirLagsALot shouted with elation. Crimson auroras bloomed deep within the Abyss like a strange flower blossoming in space, visible from thousands of kilometers away. No matter where you stood on the planet, you only had to look up to see that dazzling bloom of destruction. The once unkillable Devourers were obliterated on contact, their grotesque bodies swelling before exploding in bursts of black mist. The mid- and low-tier Heaven Demons didn’t even leave a trace behind. A black-brown “rain” began to fall over the endless Pacific, a bizarre phenomenon that lasted eight full days and nights. Billions of demon remains sank to the ocean floor, becoming food for sea monsters. “Holy crap… 3 million merit points and eight level-ups?!” “Damn! Can we get another wave? I feel like I could hit max level just grinding this! Bring on more Heaven Demons!” “Unlimited demon farming? Who the hell’s running dungeons now? Just keep it coming! Let my combat log keep rollin’!” The entire alliance was stunned. Everyone’s battle logs were scrolling uncontrollably, updating faster than they could read. With nearly 400,000 troops, normal kill sharing would’ve diluted XP to almost nothing. But these weren’t regular respawning mobs. These were Heaven Demons. Nukes plus Forbidden Curses—one tap, no cooldown, and enough enemies to go around. “Hell yeah! I’m a damn genius!” Madman cackled, having previously instructed Nightshade to register the missile operators into the main legion. That way, all the battle credit and merit from the nuclear strikes would be shared. The Forbidden Curse-nuclear bombardment lasted over a minute before subsiding. The Abyss entrance now lay eerily still, its surface shimmering with an unnatural glow. The three warships hovered silently around the perimeter as everyone fought to suppress their rising adrenaline, glancing occasionally toward the direction of home. “Give the order, Orgod.” “Sienna, we know the risks. But we’ve already steeled ourselves. Give the order.” One by one, soldiers said their tearful goodbyes to their families via the Infinite Dimensions channel and turned their eyes toward the Orson siblings. They all understood—this was not the end. This was the beginning of the unknown. Orson stared into the Abyss, and the Abyss… seemed to stare back. Every demon within view had been obliterated, but a strange unease still gnawed at him. His instincts screamed in warning. “Orgod, what are you hesitating for? Do you really think defending the US is your burden alone?” Usher’s expression was cold and sharp, his gaze piercing. Bradley walked up and clapped Orson on the shoulder, smirking. “What’s wrong, Orson? Worried there’s no red-light district on the other side of the Abyss? Relax. I’ll have someone dance for you if that’s what it takes.” Orson couldn’t help but laugh, kicking Bradley aside. Of all times, he still found room to joke about that kind of crap. “When the wheels of history start crushing bones, you think you can slam the brakes?” Madman grinned, teeth flashing. “Let’s go already! Quit yappin’!” Ruby jumped onto Orson’s back, flailing with excitement. If it could be solved by violence, then it was a simple problem. And when the most violent one was on your side, what was there to fear? “My dear apprentice, the fate of this world now rests in your hands. The path through the stars lies beneath your feet.” Flame Fosset chuckled weirdly and shuffled over to Endless Rift, his aged eyes glinting with madness. “Young man, I see great potential in your bones. You’re destined to master the chaotic arts. My sect is looking for a Guardian. Interested?” “Young man? Do you even know how many centuries I’ve lived?” Endless Rift sneered. As a Primordial Titan, his lifespan stretched far beyond mortals. To him, even the most powerful humans were bound by the limits of flesh. To the Titans, the natives of Infinite Dimensions were just tools for war. “I’ve visited your father’s tomb. I have a big plan I’d like to discuss with you. Interested in a little grave-robbing?” Flame Fosset squinted, smiling. Endless Rift froze, staring at him in disbelief. Orson just smiled and shook his head. Flame Fosset was a wild card in the Infinite Dimensions world. Some records even suggested he was a plot thread left behind by the ancient god Tiamat—older, possibly, than Endless Rift himself. He was one of the very few who knew the true secrets of the world. When he casually proposed digging up a Titan corpse to turn into a puppet, Endless Rift nearly shattered his own teeth from rage. If not for Orson’s contract suppressing him, the Titan would’ve unleashed his true form and pummeled the old man into dust. Orson took a deep breath. No matter what awaited them on the other side— Anyone who stood in their path would be destroyed. “Berenice, open the way.” Orson said quietly. Berenice pouted but couldn’t resist the overwhelming presence of her master. She soared off Orson’s shoulder, wrapped in a green aura. Her body shifted and grew, transforming in front of everyone into a sleek blue dragon. “She’s beautiful…” Sienna whispered. Her scales shimmered like glass, her size smaller than most lower dragons, but her form was elegant and fluid. A clear and melodic roar echoed through the skies. Hundreds of untamed dragons turned toward her. Their scales bristled, and their eyes burned with fighting spirit. Whether from the Light Dragon faction or the Dark Dragon faction, every dragon king lowered their head in reverence. All dragons below King rank that heard her roar responded unconditionally to the call of their queen. That was the might of the Dragon Warcry. After re-bonding with her, Orson discovered something special about Berenice. She could nullify any Dragon Knight’s contract with a dragon. Her HP stat was a strange 1012. But killing her was nearly impossible. Each point of her HP represented a dragon under her command. Unless all 1012 dragons were slain, she couldn’t be harmed. Under her lead, the dragon horde took flight, roaring as they charged into the Abyss to clear the path. “Aeloria,” Orson called. She sneered as the enemy demons dared to cheer. “Buzzing mosquitoes.” A thunderous roar shattered the air. Everyone flinched as the sound drowned out the chorus of dragons. Behind her, Denoka collapsed to the ground, covering her ears. “I’m sorry! I give up! Don’t eat me!” “Enough chatter. Let’s go.” Drunken Dream sighed, patting the beast on the head as he and Lilith soared into the Abyss. Orson turned, locking eyes with him. The two warriors stared each other down, battle spirit crackling between them. “Don’t die. Otherwise, I’ll think you’re just a weakling.” Usher smirked. Orson wasn’t offended. He chuckled. “Right back at you.” Sienna grabbed his arm, worried. “Don’t push yourself. If anything goes wrong, run first.” “I’m pretty sure nobody’s better at running than me.” Orson grinned, his eyes full of fire as he looked at the two most important women in his life. He gently touched their heads, smiling. “Even if the universe is endless, nothing will stop me from coming back to you.” “I’ll wait for you… you idiot. I’ll wait for you!” Blank broke down in sobs, unable to hold back any longer as tears streamed down her face. And with that, everyone watched as one man and one dragon streaked across the night sky— Diving headfirst into the Abyss. Into the unknown.
