Olivia's Pov:
I ignored Nikita's sour face. I guess that's just how she is on the outside maybe? But she really was an amazing person, and I was extremely lucky to have a friend like her. But sometimes she would really act a bit weird.
I paved my way through a couple of booths and at last I was finally able to find one with my name on it. The name had a few glitters on it which was something I loved!
The booth was kind of basic in looks with white wooden walls and a huge banner that had my name on it.
It was an open booth, so it was not enclosed on all four sides. A huge table was placed at the open area of the booth with a white cloth of it. The table was usually used to keep any merchandise we, creators wanted to giveaway. It was also used as a regular table to keep pieces of paper to sign autographs.
I decided to decorate the outside of the booth and the table to suit it to my brand and to make it more appealing to my supporters! It was the least I could do for them for all their amazing love they have given me!
I looked around the area to find other creators doing the same while some were busy chatting with the Vidcon staff to organize their schedule.
The way Vidcon worked was that firstly, fans would visit their favorite creators at the respective booths and get an autograph or whatever the creator had to offer.
After completing that, we would be given a break before giving a speech/performance at the center stage. We could sing, dance, talk etc.
I couldn't do any of those since I didn't have any sort of talent, so I decided to speak about my journey as an influencer, just to inspire my fans. I wanted to discuss all the ups and downs and this journey kind of represented one of the many ups and downs that I experienced.
And Vidcon lasts for a few days so we had to do the same routine but for different fans.
After about an hour of decorating, I was pretty satisfied with how my booth turned out.
I placed some customized shirts and hoodies as part of my merchandise that I wanted to give away and a stack of papers in case someone wanted an autograph.
At the corner of my eye, I noticed Jack who was standing at a booth not too far away from mine, looking at me.
I just stood at my spot, not making any sudden actions. I decided that after today's Vidcon session, I was going to ask him my question that I longed to ask him.
I was very clear in how I wanted to approach him with my question, but I was a bit nervous about his response.
I calmed my nerves down and was preparing myself mentally for that moment. Even though it was hours away, I still felt comfort in preparing for it now rather than panicking about it later.
I heard a bell ring super loudly. I looked at the nearby pillar to find a tv screen which said that the fans would be arriving soon.
I stepped behind the table and patiently waited for my lovely fans to stop by. This was the exciting part about being an influencer.
I heard loud screams approaching my booth and in a flash my booth was surrounded by excited, screaming fans.
I couldn't help but smile so widely as the site of all the people who loved and supported me really bought joy to my heart.
I snapped myself out of my little happy world and instructed all of them to stand in a queue.
And with that I started attending to each and every single person. The clock was ticking, and I was continuously taking selfies with fans, signing papers, hoodies etc.
I was also having a little mini talk with some and it was just an amazing time.
I wouldn't have traded this for the world. It was like a dream come true!
I just wished my family were here to see this. I was certain they would have loved to see this sight! But I knew they would always look over me.
Subsequent to everyone leaving the area and standing near the stage while an influencer was performing, a group of cleaners arrived to clean up the mess.
I felt bad for them as the place really was turned upside down by many! Sheets of paper, snacks etc. were found scattered everywhere. It looked like a nightmare to clean up!
I stood at the back of the stage with other fellow creators waiting for my turn to give my speech.
I noticed Nikita completely decked and glammed.
I tapped her shoulder and asked, "Nikita, you look beautiful! What are you going to be performing?"
She turned around and a corner of her lips was raised, and she replied, "Oh, Olivia! Thank you so much, I know I am beautiful, so I'm not surprised or anything. And oh, I am going to be having an epic singing show. People are going to love my gorgeous voice!"
I got a bit stunned when I heard that. I never saw Nikita singing before, but it was exciting to see.
"And next up is Nikita Dixion!" the host announced. Excitement filled inside me as I could not wait to hear her singing voice!
I wished her luck as she walked past me hastily and on top of the stage.
During that she accidently pushed my foot slightly which caused me to lose my balance and I fell near the speaker!
I felt my hand fall onto a button and a 'click' sound appeared which left me confused! What on earth happened?!
I rubbed my head and got up on my feet. I had no idea what button was pressed but I hoped it was noting important.
The next thing I heard was extreme laughter from the audience. Curious, I pushed the curtains aside in front of me to see what was going on.
To my horror, I saw Nikita singing her song, but her voice was not amplified as the microphone was not turned on. The audience basically could not hear one thing she was trying to sing, and Nikita looked like a fool in front of everyone.
She stopped singing once the laughter intensified and had a shocked expression on her face. She tensed herself and looked pretty angry.
She started hitting the top of the microphone to try and get to turn on, but it would not do what she wanted it to.
Doing so, Nikita looked like a clown in a circus and people stated laughing even more. In fact, all the creators at the back of the stage too were laughing their heads off.
Seeing all of this happen, I could not help but to laugh as well. I did not mean to do that, but my body could not control itself and I burst out laughing.
Nikita turned to look at me laughing like crazy and gave a death stare.
What was she thinking?
