Olivia's pov:
I looked at Erica with disgust! How dare she mock me and my family! I could not bear her emotionless self! She had no humanity left in her at all! But why? I had no idea why she was doing all of this!
"I cannot believe this!" I said in a faint voice.
I just could not accept the fact that people so close to me would do such a thing.
"You better believe it Olivia!"
"You think I would let you go when you insulted and humiliated me in front of the whole world?!" she yelled.
I lifted my head that was previously sunk to the dust coated floor. I could not believe the words that escaped her mouth.
I remembered what she was talking about! What happened two years ago, flashed before my eyes.
Just because I gave her a bad reputation for the things that she did, it did not mean she would take such an extreme step. She snatched my entire family away from me. And then she acted like they were not anything important. Her ego and fame were the only two things that mattered to her the most!
This was not something a normal person would do. Only an insane psychotic person would be capable of such a heinous crime.
I could not fathom how they slept at night knowing they took not one but four people's lives away! I just could not!
I felt disgusted by her knowing that despite doing that, she continued to be right under my nose, disguised as a hardworking, caring person while I was frantically looking to bring justice for my family whilst dealing with other issues.
I was afraid to ask Jack what his involvement was in this crime, so I was only able to look at his face, that weirdly looked concerned for me, without saying one word to him!
"Oh, do not worry about Jack! He did not know about the murder before." Erica assured.
"Then why did you kidnap me and bring me here?" I asked Jack with an aggressive tone.
Erica started circling around my chair and started responding to my question instead of Jack doing so himself.
"Well, you see when you arrived in LA, Jack was very fond of you. And when Sam started getting close to you, he did not quite like it! So, when I saw this anger in him, I invited him in my mission to make you suffer! Now you know why Sam and Jessica pushed you away!" she explained, mocking me.
I looked at Jack with a shocked face! All the memories of him being kind and sweet to me, meant nothing at this point.
"Jack, did you blackmail Sam?" I demanded an answer from him!
I was not going to sit around and be treated like that. If I wanted answers, I had to demand for them instead of waiting for them to arrive to me.
Instead of responding, Jack remained silent with his lips shut. I could not believe the way he was acting. He had wronged me so much and did not have the courtesy at that point to even answer me!
Anger was fuming within me and I wanted to slap him across his face but the knots he tied restricted me from doing so.
Suddenly, I heard a loud "Yes" behind me. Everyone including me, turned ourselves to find Sam and Jessica present at the scene. My eyes widened as I saw them standing right in front of me!
Everyone were shocked to see them but Jack in particular looked a lot more scared.
"Yes, he did blackmail us!" Jessica repeated while walking up towards Jack.
Sam looked heated as he grabbed Jack by the collar and lifted him a bit from the ground. I must admit that I was feeling extremely frightened of him even though I was not in Jack's place.
"You planned everything with Erica, right? From the threats to Dr. Liam, everything?!" Sam yelled!
His veins started bulging out of his skin, his eyes looked strained and every part of his body tensed up as he looked at Jack in the eye.
"Yes! I did!" Jack said as he pushed Sam away with force, releasing him from his grip.
I was able to hold Sam's arm and prevent him from falling onto the ground, thanks to Jessica from untying me from the chair. My hands had a little bruise from the rope but thankfully it did not hurt that much!
"But I only did that because I was afraid of losing Olivia! Jack exclaimed as he burst into tears.
"Do you think I enjoyed doing that? I really could not see much of an option!" he added.
I could not think of what to do! I didn't know if I had to be angry or concerned for Jack. His love for me blinded him from the right path. But at the end of the day, he did hurt me and many others.
We all looked stressed and worried. Erica, Michael and Jack played with our lives for their own selfish reasons. It didn't feel real to me even though it was.
What I imagined LA to be was far from this. I never expected in a million years to be present in such a toxic scenario.
But one thing was for sure that I regretted ever taking up this opportunity of coming there. I left my family to attend this mess. It really hurt me to see such things happen.
Jessica held my arm tight as she could see how devastated I was to find out all about this. The truth really did hurt.
But just then our interactions were cut short when sounds of sirens filled the air.
All of us got shocked when we heard them. We turned ourselves towards the road outside of the building and there we saw police cars with a few cops sitting in the cars, standing still on the deserted road.
