Chapter 42
I closed my eyes tightly. I accepted his violent jabs at me. My nails dig into his back as his pace speeds up. I could hear his violent moans as he continued to thrust into me. My lips parted because of the mixture of desire and pain I felt under Damon.
It was different from our previous sex. I did not expect the strength and speed that he is showing tonight. I feel every pain. He's not stopping himself. I feel like he is deaf to all my moans and grunts. He's not himself anymore.
But I let him. I let him claim me the way he wanted. I wanted this. I wanted to see all of him. I know I may not be able to accept every pain. I know I'm going to get hurt but I don't want myself to fail Damon. I want him to be satisfied with me. I don't want him to restrain himself from me. I want him to be true to me.
I closed my eyes tightly when I felt the tightness and roughness of every caress and touch of his hand on me. Gone the pleasure and lust it was replaced by pain and tears. Every breath I take deepens as I wince in pain. I opened my eyes slightly and saw how much Damon was losing himself. I know he's already consumed by his wolf.

I screamed in pain as Damon's speed became faster and faster. I don't understand what I will feel. Something is urging me to push him away but my desperation to feel him as his wolf's sex drive overtaking him made me stop myself from doing it.
"D-Damon..." I called him weakly because I felt he wasn't done yet. He keeps doing it. He's never tired but I feel like my body is already giving up.
"Damon..." I called him but he was deaf. I can only see the desire and lust in him. I watched him as he rode me painfully faster. I bit my lower lip as the pain numbed my whole body. It only took a few seconds for me to feel him stiffen on top of me and his explosion inside me.
I am weak. The pain and soreness all over my body were intensifying. I opened my eyes slightly and saw Damon looking at me worriedly. I can't hear his voice anymore, but I know he's calling me. I want to assure him that I'm fine but I'm too weak to speak until darkness filled my eyes.
I woke up to the sun hitting my face. I opened my eyes slightly and saw the familiar ceiling of Damon's room. I moved a bit but immediately winced when I felt the soreness in my whole body. My legs also hurt a lot, especially my middle part. I can't even move properly because of that.
“Athena!” I was stunned when I heard Damon's voice. He quickly came to me and supported me when I forced myself to sit on the bed.
"H-How are you feeling?" he asked. We both looked at each other. It was the first time I saw Damon like this. He looks so worried. I can also see the regret in his eyes.
"I'm fine...Damon," I softly said. My voice is also a bit hoarse. He closed his eyes tightly and I was surprised when he suddenly pulled me and hugged me tightly. I can feel how tight his embrace is. It was as if he was afraid of losing me at that time. It was as if in that hug he didn't want to let go of me.
"I'm sorry...I...lost control," his voice was full of regret. I bit my lower lip. The serious and cold Damon is now here in front of me asking for forgiveness, regretting something I was pleased to do.
"Damon...you don't have to be sorry. I like it—”
"No! We're not doing it again, Athena!” I was surprised when he interrupted my words. He withdrew from the hug and looked at me intently. His brown eyes are between intense and worried.
"This is what I wanted, Damon...and I will never regret it," my sweet voice surrounded the whole room. His jaw tightened.
"You almost…died!" he said with difficulty. His eyes were regretful. My hand came up to caress his jaw. I smiled lovingly at him. I saw how he watched me smiling in front of him and I felt his irritation because of it. Maybe he thinks that I'm taking everything lightly.
"I just fainted, Damon! You're overreacting! I'm not that weak!” I made a soft chuckle. His jaw tightened even more. I took a deep breath. "That's how I like it, Damon. It doesn't mean I'm not a werewolf I can't take a wolf's sex anymore, I'm stronger than you think, my Alpha…” I said assuring him.
He stared at me longer than usual. It's like I'm melting in his eyes. I was about to tear my eyes from him when he suddenly reached for my chin and firmly held it to make my eyes stay with him. My heart thumped against my chest. I swallowed hard.
"Just don't faint like that again...I was so worried..." the softness in each word caresses my heart. I can't stop the joy in my heart because I know this time, I can clearly see his feelings for me. I am confident that I am now holding a special place in his heart. I am not hoping to replace Neticia's place I just want some part of his heart for me. Even if it’s just a tiny bit of feelings. I just want a little piece of his heart to me.
"I promise..." I said for sure. He hugged me again, even tighter.
I don't understand the happiness I feel. I feel like I'm just dreaming but now I can see and feel Damon's concern for me. Now, I can already justify his 'I love you' to me.
"I love...you, Damon," I whispered against his ears. I felt him stiffen. I got nervous. I closed my eyes tightly when he withdrew from the hug. His eyes were staring deeply at me.
"Look at me, Athena," he ordered me. I snorted and slowly looked up at him. His lips curved for a smile that made my cheeks flush. Damn it!
"I want to say it properly to you..." he trailed off and stared at me longer. His eyes were deep like they are reading something deep within my soul.
"...I love you more...Athena," he said as he looked at my eyes, never tearing them off me.
