I picked up the pen holder and stared at it for a long time. I can't believe I'm seeing it right now. I feel like this is the way I can help Damon. I feel close to the truth.
I took a deep breath and quickly approached the door to leave but was stunned when I saw how the doorknob moved! Someone is coming inside! I trembled. I felt so nervous. Who is it?
I looked around to find a place to hide and when I saw another door, I quickly opened it and hid there. And then right after I heard some footsteps outside, inside Neticia's room. I put my ear to the door where I was hiding to hear what was happening outside.
Who is it? Who could be in this room at this hour? I bit my lower lip as my heart pounded so fast. I feel like I ran a marathon. My forehead and hands are already sweating. What if...this person who entered Neticia's room right now is the traitor that Damon wants to catch?
I do not know what to do. Because surely if I come out here and show the person outside everything will not go well. I really have a bad feeling about this.
I hold out my breath when I hear footsteps coming near the door where I am hiding. Damn it! Is he going here? What am I going to do?

But what I noticed the most was the painting in front because the man painted in it is so familiar. I slowly approached it and touched the signature placed at the bottom of the canvas.
"Neticia..." I read. I felt some pain in my chest when I read that. If so...Neticia knows how to paint? I bit my lower lip as my eyes darted to the painting.
This man is so familiar, but I only remember my hatred for him. He has the same eyes as Alpha Devon and Damon, but the cockiness and bright color of his eyes remained. While Alpha Devon and Damon share the same dark eyes….Jules…has the brightest.
"Neticia...who did you really love?" I uttered as I stared at her painting. A painting of a man who claimed as her mate. Jules Simson.
In the stories of Anna Neticia was in love with Alpha Devon. But with Alpha Devon's story in the book...it was like something is going on with Neticia and Jules. And right now, in front of my own eyes...looking at her painting with Jules in it...I feel like she was in love with this man.
But I am confused. What really happened then? Jules is vengeful right now because he hates Alpha Devon and he's throwing all his hate at Damon. Jules killed Alpha Devon because he thought that Neticia only loved Alpha Devon.

Why am I feeling this way? Why do I feel like this is all Neticia's fault? Why do I feel like...everything is messed up because of what Neticia did? Why do I feel like Neticia was the one who created hatred and anger inside Jules and Damon?

I took a deep breath and now looked at the other paintings. I noticed that apart from his painting of Jules, he doesn't have any other portrait paintings. Everything I see now is just nature and some random painting.
There was a group of wolves looking at the full moon. And then I saw a painting of the palace and the town. I also saw a painting of a hill...and that hill was so familiar that my heart thumped so fast inside my chest.
I can't be wrong. This is the hill Damon brought me! It was the hill! Damon's favorite place! A stinging pain stabbed my chest as I stared at the painting because it was so detailed. The way the sun sets behind the mountains and the sky turned orange, the wind blowing and the trees dancing.
Did Damon…brought her here too?
I swallowed hard and was about to leave when I noticed something behind a painting. I saw something written there. It was the painting about the wolves gathering around under the full moon.
"The night when I first saw his wolf..." then I saw Neticia's small signature under it. My lips parted in realization. Neticia has a message on the back of her paintings! I quickly looked at the painting about there in the hills and I froze when I finally read it.
"The place where the kingdom begins and the three wolves' favorite place..."
Three wolves? I stopped when everything sinks into me.
In that case…the king…the Alpha king…Damon's father…brought the three here? Alpha Devon, Damon, and…Jules…and maybe Jules brought Neticia there!
Alpha Devon probably brought my mother to the hills; Damon brought me there and Jules...brought Neticia.

I looked at the pen holder I was holding and with a quick movement, I forced the pen holder to open to get whatever was in it. I need to know the truth. I feel like I won't be able to sleep peacefully if I don't know what really happened then. I can't let everything hang in my mind. I really need to find out everything.
My heartbeat faster when I finally opened the pen holder. I feel like my heart is about to run out of my chest. I do not understand what I'm feeling. I want to know the truth, but a part of my heart is afraid to know all this.
