Kareem's POV
"Kareem, I didn't know you're back...how was work?" She asked smiling.
Damn that beautiful smile!
"How would you, when you were busy thinking about your lover". I muttered angrily at her which startled her. Guess she wasn't expecting me to say that to her.
She tried to touch me but I slapped her hand away. "Don't touch me!". I yelled angrily at her.
"Ka...Kareem what's... Whats wrong with you? Did something happened at work?". She ask again.
Very good woman, trying to prove to be innocent.
"Well, all thanks to you it went bad".
"Kareem, I don't understand you, we were good this morning right? Then, why the sudden attitude?".
"Why are you pretending Maryam? I know all of your secrets already, so stop the damn drama and tell me the truth!"
"Truth?! what truth are you talking about?" She asked with a quizzical face.
"Please just tell me the truth and...and I might forgive you. I really hate this moment".
"Kareem please, I beg you in the name of Allah, I don't know what you're talking about". She said almost at the verge of crying.
"Well, your stupid tears can't deceive me anymore. You can't deceive me again! Never! Who was that man you were with earlier at the mall? You were both hugging and sucking each others face. Why have you been lying to me all this while? My mom trusted you! Kareemah did! I had started trusting you!".
"I promised not to ever open my heart to anyone but I break those rules all because of you and what did you do in return? You deceived me! You lied to me! You made a fool out of me Maryam! Who's that Man?! Who's he? Why did you want to ruin me and my company?! Was Mr Thakur working with you? Is he working under your orders? Why?! Just why?! Tell me the truth! tell me the truth before I do something we might both regret!"
"Kareem please calm down. I swear, I don't know who you're talking about...whether Mr Thakur or anybody, I don't know anyone Kareem, I swear. I didn't go out throughout today. In fact, it was only my Daddy and Kareemah who came to pay me a visit, I didn't go anywhere. Please Kareem believe me,I'm not the one you saw hugging another man, you're mistaken. You're the only man that has ever touch me, nobody else. Please believe me Kareem". she said crying as she suddenly hug me.
Could she be saying the truth? But I saw her! I'm damn sure she's the one,same eyes, same nose, same lip, same voice and her dressing? Oh my God! Could she be a twin? No, I don't think so, but she was so confident telling me that she's innocent. I think there's only one way to find out.
I broke our hug as I looked at her now swollen face before taking her hands off my body slowly. I didn't bother to spear her another glance as I walk up to her room
Maryam's POV
After magrib prayer, my husband hasn't arrive yet. Could there be a problem at work? Why isn't he back yet?
I just finished praying but still on my praying mat, praying for my husband's well being.
"Subhanallah who's that?" I thought glancing over to where I had heard the sudden sound just now. I felt at ease as I saw my husband but, with a fury face? "I hope, everything is fine" I thought before moving closer to him.
"Kareem, I didn't know you're back...how was work?" I asked smiling.
Seeing his face only, makes me happy.

What's wrong with him? Could he have taken those drugs again?
He won't right? He promised me, he told me he won't take those drugs again.

He seems to be in deep thought, I just hope he believes me, I hope he would see my sincerity in this marriage, I wasn't deceiving anyone. In fact, I don't even know what he's trying to say.
He broke our hug and looked at at my face, he took his hands off my body slowly. He never bothers to spear me a glance as he sauntered up to my room.
"What's really wrong with him this evening?" I thought sighing before following him. Immediately I entered my room, I couldn't help but wide my eyes in horror.
"What are you doing Kareem?!" I asked him.
"Shut up! Just shut your mouth!" He said firmly.
Why is he behaving this way, strange all of a sudden. And the most annoying part is that, all of my cloth are all thrown at the floor.
What's he looking for in my closet?
All of a sudden, he turned around holding the navy blue gown Khalid had bought for me.
"This is it! This is the cloth! MARYAM!! How could you do this to me! How could you?! Was this not the same dress you had wore this evening? Then, immediately you arrived home you pull it off and placed it neatly here, right?".
