Michael sat on the bed and Eleanora sat beside him. "Nora and I dated for two years. Some months ago was our anniversary. On the day of our anniversary, I didn't call her and I didn't send her a message because I wanted her to get the idea that I was not interested in the relationship anymore. That night, I went over to see her with flowers and I apologized and we kissed."
Eleanora was listening carefully to his words in order to know the right questions to ask and the right words to say to him.
"Few days after that, I realized I was killing myself by having her as my girlfriend. I started hating her for no reason and all I wanted to do was to end it all."
"Why didn't you then?" asked Eleanora.
"I couldn't because I didn't want to hurt her feelings. She was this fragile girl with a kind heart and I didn't just want to break up with her for no reason."
Eleanora raised her hand to ask a question. Michael nodded his head to give her go ahead to speak. "You just said she is kind, why then do you want to break up with such girl?"
"She wasn't my type to begin with. When I dated her, I thought it would be easier to lay with her but dating for two years and she didn't let me touch her. She is always telling me she has a promise to keep to her mother and she can't lose her virginity now till when she is married. I got so frustrated. I was horny but my girlfriend can't help me. I go out to enjoy myself with other girls and come back to pretend like the perfect boyfriend. It was too much for me so I ended it with her."
"How did you end it with her?"
Michael looked at her and then at Nora's picture in her hand. "I created a scandal."
"What?"
"I was out with my friends and we were drinking and having fun when i receieved a call that my girlfriend was sleeping in one of the rooms. I got to meet them and I saw her sleeping. The only thing I could think of was ruining her life so I can break up with her."
"What did you do then?" Asked Eleanora as she was gradually feeling sorry for Nora.
"I opened her legs a bit and took pictures and photos of her. I also took photos of her brea..." he swallowed back his words after realizing the shitty errors he made which he could never take back.
"You did all of this to break up with just one girl?" Eleanora was shocked. "What happened to the normal process of walking up to her and telling her it was over? Why did you have to make her life a living hell before ending things with her?"
"I was stupid." he answered. "I was more stupid when I forcefully slept with her." Eleanora's mouth was left opened. She wanted to say somethings but she couldn't. "I was jealous that she was close to my best friend and when I saw that she was working for him. I thought perhaps she had sex with him to get the job and I became angry and jealous because the only reason I broke up with her was because of the sex part. My friends kidnapped her and I asked her some questions and her response made me get more jealous and I forcefully had my way with her only to find out she was still a virgin."
Eleanora shook her head after listening to everything he said. She could tell he really loved her only that he was stupid. But now that he has realized his mistakes and he is willing to make it right, there was no point hating him.
"So what is the matter now?" she asked him. She knew that when she saw him holding the picture in his hands, he was thinking about her and when she caught him and he hid the frame, she knew something was up.
Michael looked at Eleanora and told her how he is feeling deep inside and what he wants. "I know that this might sound stupid and selfish but I want her back."
Eleanora's eyes widened in shock. "You want her back? Are you kidding me?"
"I can't bear to watch her with someone else, Eleanora. I know I realized my feelings too late but I know I can make things right?"
"And you think she would run up to you with open arms?"
"I know it is going to take time but I am willing to wait."
"I want you to know that this wouldn't be as easy as you say it."
"I am not the type that takes the easy way out." he answered her. Eleanora looked at him and she pecked his cheek. Michael was dumbfounded. "What was that for?"
"You are good person, Michael. Not every guy can do what you have done. It is not easy for a guy to confess about something wrong they did but you did and that says a lot about your kind of person... If only you hadn't been this stupid to realize it." she smiled which made him smile too. "I thought I was going to have a chance with you but seems like your heart still belongs to another, one that I can't contend with."
"I am sorry," he apologized.
Eleanora shook her head. "You don't need to be. You are doing the right thing and I appreciate and respect you for that. I can always get someone else here in Hawaii. As you know, there are a lot of handsome guys here too."
Michael smiled, pulled her closer and hugged her. "I am glad I met you."
Eleanora hugged him back after a while, she pulled away from him. "So what's the plan now?" she asked him.
"I need to go back home and make things right."
"It wouldn't be that easy, I hope you know that."
Michael nodded. "I know what I am aiming for and I won't stop until I get it.
"I hope time heals her broken heart so she can look beyond the past and give you a second chance."
"Thanks."
He took the frame and put it inside his bag.
Here I come Eleanora Bell. He thought to himself as he zipped the bag.
