CLARA
Today, I have woken up with a smile on my face. Damien is still in bed, for once. Whenever I wake up when we have slept together, I always find him either already awake or in the middle of escaping. Now he looks peacefully asleep.
Oh, he looks handsome even when he is asleep. One would think he is not really asleep. I mean, his face is intact and he doesn't snore. Something tells me that he didn't turn all night. I admire his face when I have the chance to.
The sun is shinning brightly outside. I wonder what time it is. I check on the usual clock on the wall. It's nine o'clock in the morning. I let out a sigh of relief. For once I have woken up early in this house. Though nine o'clock isn't that early but it is the Vampire house.
I place my head back on his chest and caress his shoulder. I feel peaceful here. This is my happy place. I wish I never have to leave.
Father!
My eyes widen when I remember father! Liam must have told him where I am. Is he going to come here and drag me away? He hasn't come here yet. Maybe he isn't going to come here at all, but that is very doubtable. Perhaps he is busy planning on doing something worse.
No! No! I can't think about that. I need to keep a positive mind. I am here with Damien and shouldn't get distracted. My attention should be here not home. This is where I am supposed to be. I am not going to go anywhere.
Damien's hands grab my bare ass from under the sheets making my smile return. I look him in the eyes and find him wearing a questioning look.
"Good morning," he tells me.
"Good morning," I respond.
"What are you thinking about?" he inquires from me.
"I was just thinking about you and us and our child," I reply and he chuckles.
"That's a lot to think about, I must say but I hope it doesn't bother you," he says.
"No. Not at all. Instead, it makes me happy," I tell him.
"Does it now?" he asks with a raised eyebrow.
"Yes," I respond.
"Are you happy now?" he he asks me.
"Yes, I am happy. As long as I am with you, I don't care where we are. You are my happy place," I tell him. He raises his head and gives me a kiss on the lips.
"That is the sweetest thing I have ever heard, besides telling me you love me. You also make me happy Clara," he tells me and pecks my lips. I can stop the big grin that forms on my face when I hear those words from his mouth.
I sit up on his lap and my sex grinds on his hard length. A sudden spark of pleasure spreads from my core and I immediately feel wet down there. An evil smile spreads across his face. He holds my hips and also sits up.

After having a long hot shower with Damien, I walk into Damien's closet, wondering what I should wear. I spot my jeans and blouse folded well beside Damien's T-shirts. I remember leaving them here that day when Damien had bought me a new dress to wear. That is the same day when dad dragged me out of here.
I had thought that day when I was kidnapped was the worst day of my life but I should have known that there was much worse to come. I hated my life when I wasn't with Damien. I don't want to ever go through that.
Damien comes behind me and looks into his closet.
"Looking for something?" he asks me.
"No, I have found what I was looking for," I respond while picking up my clothes from where they have been kept properly. They looked washed. I wonder who could have done me such a favour.
"Thank you for keeping these for me, and they are clean," I tell him and he shrugs.
"Victoria helped clean them, so I won't take the credit but you are welcome," he says.
"That was nice of her. I will have to thank her when I see her," I say.
I hold onto the towel wrapped around me and look at him. He has a huge grin on his face that brings back the sweet memories of just a few minutes ago. I think my cheeks are now cherry red because of blushing.
"I need some privacy. You should get out of here. I want to put on my clothes," I tell him and his mouth goes agape.
"What? Are you serious? After all these times that I have seen you naked, you still feel embarrassed to put on your clothes infront of me? We just had a shower together!" he says.
"It doesn't matter. It is not going to take long anyway," I say and his eyes widen at me as if I just said the most shocking thing ever.
"No, Clara. Actually, I didn't have any plans of staying in here but I am going to. Just because I can," he tells me and then stubbornly folds his hands infront of his chest just to show me that he is determined.
"Okay, since you very much like to stay in your closet, then I will go put on from the bathroom," I tell him.
"You can't be serious, Clara. Come on. I want to see you," he says while approaching me slowly.
"You just saw me moments ago," I tell him. We even spent the whole night together naked in the bed.
"Please," he begs me while engulfing his hands around my waist. Ugh! This is hopeless! It's no use hiding anything from Damien. I let out a resigned sigh and let go of the towel do that it pools at my feet. A wild victory grin spreads on his face and he pecks my lips. He always manages to get his way with me.
When I get down stairs with Damien, he offers to cook me breakfast but I turn down his offer so that he can go a head and carry out his responsibilities of doing checkups on the new family members I was told about yesterday.
I wonder if all the other Vampire Families are as nice as this one. I wonder if they welcome strangers and readily shelter them like family. I have heard of the council and Damien is also a member of it. They managed to get the turned humans from that creepy old house where Lazarus had locked them up and they divided them amongst the families of their Clan. I am still confused about some of the Vampire terms but maybe I will get to know them with time if I have to live here. I hope so.
I get into the kitchen and check for ingredients in the pantry and fridge. The eggs are always there and the milk, but there are no vegetables this time. There isn't anything fresh in here. There are only dry and preserved ingredients. I don't think anyone has been going for grocery shopping when I was away.
If they had bought them, then they would have gone bad. They have no idea when I was going to come back, and neither did I. I don't blame them. They have already done so much for me. At least they managed to keep there fresh milk and eggs in the refrigerator.
I prepare myself a simple breakfast with the available ingredients and then heat up the milk. I hope the baby doesn't refuse the food. I will talk to Damien so that I can go out to shop for some groceries. Maybe he might offer to go with me or I could convince one of the girls.
Katherine walks into the kitchen and smiles at me when she sees me.
"I am sorry for the empty fridge. We haven't bought food for a while," she says while walking picking a water bottle from the fridge.
"It's fine. I managed to get myself something to eat. Maybe I can go for grocery shopping later," I tell her.
"Oh, tell me when you are going do that I can go with you. There are somethings that I would also like to get from town," she says.
"Okay, I promise," I tell her and she gives me a bright smile. All the women in this house are very beautiful. Actually all the vampires in this house are so goodlooking. I wonder if the beauty runs in Vampire blood.
