Under The Moonlight: Alpha's Bride Chapter 80

Chapter 80 Sansa's Pov I felt peace, I thought, but my heart was broken; the darkness was chasing me down a path that didn't exist. I opened my blurry eyes when I heard the sparrow singing and the sunlight streaming in through the window, creating a cozy atmosphere. The white curtain moved to the beat of the breeze. when I was wrapped in a warm blanket. Logan, who was sitting on my bed with a smile on his face, caught my attention. My favorite feature of his face was his smile. A priceless, pure, and innocent smile. When I missed him every second, I wished he could be by my side like that. I tried every possible method to reach him. "Good morning," he said sweetly with a smile. My heart was broken, and I was about to cry when I saw his face right in front of me. Was it my desire to watch him that drove me to do so? I felt his presence. "Sansa? "  He became perplexed as he observed me in that state. I jumped up to hug him as if I had just met him after thousands of years. My eyes were welling up with tears. I clung to him as if I couldn't let him go and began to cry quietly. "Wait, what happened?" With a soft voice, he inquired. I didn't say anything when he hugged me back. I could smell him, feel his body, and sense his presence. He was there in person, and the moment was genuine. For a while, I couldn't believe it. I was perplexed and anxious, and all I could think about was never letting him go. "What brought you here?" With a broken voice, I inquired. "I wanted to surprise you, but you were sound asleep when I walked into your room 5 minutes ago. Aren't you glad to see me?" He said as he gently pushed me away from him to face me, but I hugged him tightly and refused to let him go. I couldn't speak because my tears wouldn't stop, and I didn't dare to face him like that. "Can you tell me what happened?" When I didn't respond to him, he asked softly, "I was taken, beaten to death when you were already gone," I sobbed. "It's okay, that was just a nightmare; you're here," he chuckled. "You have no idea how much I have been through. they killed you." I was in tears. When I embraced him, he waited for me to release him from a hug while tapping on my shoulder to comfort me, as he used to do. I let him go so I could watch his face, which I desperately wanted to see. I was checking to see if there was any remaining bruise on his face, but he was fine. "But I'm right here in front of you," he said, smiling. "Promise me you'll never leave me." I was in desperate need. "I'm not going anywhere," he said softly, wiping away my tears and placing his hand on my face. His touch was the most soothing to me, and his presence assured me that I was safe. "But you'll be gone one day; how long will we be together? We are no longer children who can be kept around indefinitely," I said while staring into his eyes. "Would you like me to dump her?" He inquired solemnly. "No, I want to see you happy," I explained. "Are you in love with me, Sansa?" He inquired, his gaze searching for an answer in mine. "You still want someone else when you already have a girlfriend!" I cracked a joke. "I was thinking, what if I got a chance with you?" Logan laughed with me. "Do you think that way?" As a joke, I inquired. "What's the harm?" Logan's friendliness is stated. "I'll call your girlfriend right away and tell her your plans; she'll dump you on the spot and beat you for cheating on her," I joked. "I can't be unfaithful to her. how could I cheat her when she's my first love?" Logan stated romantically that I couldn't take my gaze away from him for a while. I knew he was in love with another woman because he had been talking about her for a while. I was curious about her and why he was so taken with her. We were childhood friends, and when I was 16, Miss Valenta took me to the orphanage. We grew up together, and I had no idea I had feelings for him; it was called love; he was always there for me; he was there when I was sick; and I was obsessed with him. He abruptly began to avoid me two months ago and treated me as if he didn't have any more time to spend with me. I was upset by his behavior, and his suspicious act hurt me. I kept my cool and considered letting him go. My world collapsed as I realized we couldn't be together, as he told me he is in love with a woman, and the feeling I was unaware of was love for him for a long time. Then I realized I loved him, but it was too late to tell him because he was happy with someone else. When Logan was lost in my eyes as I sat on my small bed in my room, I turned away from him and pulled away my blanket to get off the bed. "What are you doing here?" I inquired. "How did I get here? You should ask; someone broke into your room. You don't seem to mind, do you?" Logan was amicable in his teasing. "By the window, you came as usual; now tell me what you're doing here?" I inquired. "We're going on a date," Logan explained. "What?  We?  Why?"  I was perplexed as my voice trembled. "We've been friends for a long time, shared our bad and good times, and we wouldn't be like that anymore," Logan explained. When I heard him, my heart skipped a beat because he was avoiding eye contact, possibly because he was feeling guilty for some reason. "We will both marry the person we love, and our friendships will be altered, our lives will be altered, and our priorities will shift. Everything will be different, and I want to treat you well for the last time," Logan stated while avoiding direct eye contact. "I know we can't stay together forever," I said half-heartedly; my heart is already broken. "I'm... sorry," Logan said, his voice breaking. "I understand; you have a life; you have a girlfriend; I don't want to cause any problems in your love life." I pretended to be cool while on the inside I was crying. The thought of separating from him broke my heart because I was so attached to him. "Wear that maxi!" he exclaimed enthusiastically. "But that's too fancy," I objected. "I wanted to see you in that dress; you have no idea how difficult it was for me to find you the best dress that fits you well; why don't you just wear it to show me?" He asked for "I'm too lazy to get out of bed, and you want me to dress up, nice?" I teased. "You're going on a date with the most attractive ——." He was bragging, but I interrupted him in the middle. "You're not as handsome as you think you are," I teased. "I am every girl's dream," he chuckled. "Not every girl," I joked. He suddenly held me close by wrapping his hand around my waist and staring deeply into my eyes. My heart was racing, so I held my breath. "If she hasn't fallen for me yet, it's because she isn't aware of how much I admire her beauty." His romantic voice has the potential to turn on every girl. His charm was the most enticing, his deep voice like an ocean in which any girl would want to swim, and his eyes like the deepest jungle in which any girl would want to be lost. "What are you up to, Logan?" I asked him why he was so close to me when he had never dared to pull me that close before. He let me go and looked around. Uneasy "That's why I don't like it when you say I'm not every girl's dream," he said. He was flirting with me. "Did it bother you?" I made a joke. "Call an ambulance; I'm already injured," he said seductively before bursting out laughing. "I wonder who that crazy girl is who accepted an idiot like you," I teased him as I tried to keep my heart calm. He chuckled: "This world is full of crazy women. Get ready; I'm waiting outside," Logan said as he walked out of the room. I was finding it difficult to be around him at the time. When I saw him, my heart no longer had control over me.
