Chapter 25 The Angel
The first person Edward killed was his good friend.
It was a boy who liked reading. He had a mild temper, and he even stammered while speaking. Edward broke his arms before the boy attacked him.
When his friend died, he turned around and left, leaving the dead body lying alone on the cold ground.
That day, Edward lay in bed and had a nightmare.
In the dream, he was locked in an iron cage and he was covered with dirty blood. A thick bloody fog hung in the air.
It made him vomit.
He kept yelling and hitting the iron cage with his body, but it was useless.
When he was lying on the ground like a wounded little animal, a beautiful angel with two pure white wings came to him.
He couldn't see the angel's face. He could only see the holy light around her.
The angel exerted her magic arts, and Edward's body became clean. The air became fresh, and the iron prison that trapped him disappeared.
The angel took Edward's hand and flew to the wide sky with him.
When Edward woke up, he recalled the scene in his dream.
He remembered what he was thinking when the angel held his hand.
At that moment, he wanted to break the angel's wings and let her stay with him forever.
It had been many years since his friend died, and he thought he had forgotten it.
But yesterday, he had the same dream.
However, he saw the angel's face in the dream. She was like a pure white lily in the morning, and she was like Bella.
Edward raised his head and looked at Bella.
The angel only appeared in his dreams, and he couldn't see her when he woke up.
But Bella was real. She existed in this world. She would laugh and get angry with him. Most importantly, she was with him.
It seemed that the long hair was annoying. Bella raised her hand, gathered her hair, and tied it with a black hair band.
When she lowered her head, he could see her beautiful neckline.
Bella's neck was long and slender, like that of a pretty swan in a mysterious lake deep in the forest.
Her skin was fair and delicate, and there was no wrinkle on it.
She was wearing a sapphire necklace this day. The heart-shaped sapphire hung between her delicate collarbones, looking so attractive.
A strand of hair hung on her cheek and swayed gently as she moved.
Looking at the strand of hair, Edward had a strange feeling. He felt like someone was slowly rubbing his heart with a small brush.
He couldn't help sighing.
His blood was boiling, and he had a desire to stand up and press Bella down on the sofa.
He would pull off the sapphire necklace, crushed it into powder, and sprinkle it on Bella's collarbone.
Then he would kiss her skin and leave love-bites on it, like a beast marking its prey. He would announce to the world that she belonged to him.
There were countless crazy ideas in his mind, but he couldn't carry on any of them.
It was not the right time. Besides, Bella was too naive, and she didn't have a big heart to accept the truth.
He didn't want to scare her, nor did he want her to run away, so he could only treat her with the greatest patience.
He stared at Bella, praying that his patience would be worth it.
Bella raised her hand and shook it in front of Edward, "What are you looking at?"
Edward came down to earth. He smiled and said, "You, of course."
Bella crossed her arms. "You're lying. You must be thinking about something else."
Edward was distracted when she poured out her trouble. Was her grievance ridiculous? Did he think her experience was boring and not worth listening to?
Bella thought of childhood. When she was a child, her parents didn't care about her, which made her so sad.
She decided not to pour out her heart to Edward again.
Bella turned to leave.
Edward took her fingers.
Bella snorted and didn't look back, "Let go of me. You'd better stay here alone and think about your own affairs."
Edward suddenly rubbed Bella's soft palm.
A delicious languor was stealing over her. She was shy and mad.
Since he was impatient with what she said, why did he tease her?
She looked back at Edward and said, "You are the evilest in the world."
Edward took her hand and pulled her. Bella was caught off guard, and she almost fell.
"I am indeed the evilest in the world, but you're just, so please punish me," Edward said with a smile.
Bella withdrew her hand and shook it in front of Edward.
She glared at Edward angrily, but he laughed happily.
Bella thought he was laughing at her.
How annoying he was! He always made fun of her.
He must regard her as a toy.
How dare he look down on her like this?
Bella gritted her teeth hard.
She would teach him a lesson!
Bella reached out and grabbed Edward by the neck.
Her hands were small, delicate and fair, while Edward's neck was tanned. There was a sharp contrast. Her hands were like snow-white cream on a chocolate cake.
Bella raised her chin and pretended to be fierce, "I'll strangle you to death."
Although she said so, she didn't use much strength.
However, even if she used all her strength to strangle Edward, it was like a mosquito biting an elephant.
Edward's expression was relaxed as if he were on vacation.
He admired Bella's angry but lovely face.
This cute woman certainly didn't know that in this world, she was the only one who wouldn't be killed after grabbing him by the neck.
Her hands were soft, like marshmallows. He wanted to catch her hands and taste them to see if they were sweet.
He even wished she could use more strength so that he could feel suffocated and his pulse could stop. It must be a wonderful feeling.
Edward tilted his head and rubbed it against Bella's hand.
Bella rudely adjusted his head and continued to pinch him, "Don't move."
Edward pretended to be depressed, "I know you have fallen in love with your boss. You want to marry him, so you want me to disappear from this world."
Bella was dumbfounded.
Edward added, "I'm so sad! Even you regard me as a burden. If you can live a happy life after I die, kill me right now."
Then he closed his eyes.
Bella withdrew her hand and retorted loudly, "I don't like the president!"
If it weren't for the president, she wouldn't have been slapped.
How could she like him?
Edward shook his head and said, "You speak one way but think another."
Bella took a deep breath, "I'm serious!"
"Really?" Edward opened his eyes.
