Chapter 32 Edward's Father
Edward replied carelessly, "A man gave me the painting in return for asking me to save his family."
In fact, the man snatched the painting from his wife to save his own life.
Edward told him that he would only agree to the request of the owner of the painting.
The man's wife pushed aside her messy hair and gritted her teeth, saying that she and her child must survive, but her husband had to die.
Edward always kept his promise, so he did what she said.
"Tell me. Why do you give me this gift at night? Are you doing this for Bella again?" Mrs. Wilson's expression had returned to calm.
Edward understood how shrewd she was, so he didn't beat around the Bush. "Mom, I've told you I love her. I don't want my mother to hurt the woman I love."
Mrs. Wilson's happy mood was ruined. "Last time you told me she was different from her vain elder sister, but I saw her in her true colors with a small sum of money. When can you realize you're wrong?"
The reason why Edward flattered her with her dream gift was not to make her happy but to speak for Bella.
Mrs. Wilson started to hate Bella.
Edward didn't know the change in Mrs. Wilson's mood. He explained for Bella, "She thought you gave her the check to apologize to her. Otherwise, she would never accept it."
"Do you believe such nonsense? Edward, you let me down." Mrs. Wilson said in disbelief.
Being accused by Mrs. Wilson, Edward gradually lost his patience. "You only believe your assumptions, and you can't listen to me."
Mrs. Wilson stared at Edward and suddenly said, "Now you're like your dead father."
For Edward, his father was a taboo subject.
Mrs. Wilson knew that if she mentioned this taboo, Edward would get angry.
Sure enough, with an aggressive face, Edward denied loudly, "I'm different from him!"
Mrs. Wilson slowly approached Edward and said, "He abandoned his wife and son for a woman, and you go against your mother for a woman. What's the difference between you?"

Mr. Wilson met a beautiful poor girl. He took the girl home and told Mrs. Wilson he had found his true love. He wanted to divorce Mrs. Wilson and marry the poor girl.
He was very kind to the girl. When he was with the girl, the gentleness in his eyes was something Mrs. Wilson had never seen.
She knew it was because Mr. Wilson loved the girl.
Mrs. Wilson was greatly insulted, and jealousy tortured her, but she never agreed to divorce because she didn't want to bow down to a poor girl who had nothing.
Mr. Wilson hated her, but he slept with the girl every night.

Mrs. Wilson killed the girl in person. Her eyes were firm and determined as she watched the sharks tear and bite the girl's body.
Mr. Wilson, the man who almost killed his own son, died because he had taken too much poison. No one could save him.
While he was lying on the hospital bed, he kept whispering the girl's name.
Mrs. Wilson watched her husband die and held his funeral with Edward in her arms.
At the funeral, Mr. Wilson's coffin was buried in the earth. Mrs. Wilson held Edward's small hand and vowed to protect him forever.
She was no longer weak, and she supported the Wilson family alone.
A lot of people thought that a woman and a little baby were easy to deal with, and they wanted to take over the Wilson family.
However, Mrs. Wilson defeated them and drove them away.
She was a woman, but she showed the talent and courage that ordinary men didn't have.
She had been under great pressure, so she became more and more aggressive. She was very strict with Edward, so he grew into a strong but cold-blooded man.
They were both dominating. If they had a conflict, both of them would suffer.
Edward knew this very well.
He looked at the watch and said, "Mom, it's late. Have a rest first. Let's talk about it in the future."
With her eyes closed, Bella frowned hard and shook her head uneasily.
"No!" Bella exclaimed and sat up.
She was covered in a cold sweat, and she looked so terrified.
Holding the quilt with both hands, Bella gasped for air. Her chest heaved violently.
She had a nightmare about Mrs. Wilson.
In the dream, Mrs. Wilson kicked her out of the company and ordered her not to approach her son again.
People in the company mocked her. Their face twisted, and she couldn't see their facial features clearly.
Lanny and David stood at the front and shouted abuse at her, saying she had dirtied the floor.
Surrounded by a group of men, Bob said her husband was disabled, and she seduced her male colleagues because she was slutty.
She rushed over, trying to defend herself and tell others Bob was framing her, but she couldn't make a sound no matter how hard she tried.
She could only watch the men look at her with lecherous and malicious eyes.
They reached out to her, grabbing her arms and legs.
