Chapter 38 Punishment
If Bella hadn't married David, how could she be tortured like this?
Bella should go to hell and atone for her mistakes.
But the damn woman was appreciated by the president!
The president was so powerful and excellent. A mediocre man like David was not a patch on him.

After walking around the mall, Bella was ready to go home happily with the things she bought.

She could share the cake with Edward.

When Bella was about to get home, she heard a familiar scream, and her hands trembled on the steering wheel.
It was Lanny's voice!
Bella couldn't believe it and comforted herself that it was her imaginary voice.

Lanny was screaming at Edward!

With a harsh brake, Bella unfastened her seat belt and got out of the car in a hurry.

In the yard, Lanny yelled at Edward with a ferocious face.
Her face turned red because she was too excited. The more she said, the more furious she became. She even raised her sharp fingernails to Edward.
Bella had a nasty feeling.
Lanny was going to attack Edward.
She rushed over recklessly and pushed Lanny away.
Lanny was caught off guard. She was pushed to the ground by Bella, and one of her high heels fell off. Her hair was messy, and she looked like a crazy woman who had lost her mind.
Bella stood in front of Edward and looked warily at Lanny, for fear she would hurt Edward again.
"How dare you push me! Bitch! Do you want me to kill you right now?" Lanny roared.
Bella remained vigilant and said, "If you didn't hurt Edward, I wouldn't have pushed you. He's so miserable now. You shouldn't have attacked him just because he spent so much money on you before!"
Lanny put on her high heel again madly, got up from the ground, and said, "I saw him stand up. He pretended to be disabled. He lied to me! Why can't I hurt him? I should saw his legs!"
Hearing Lanny's vicious words, Bella wanted to slap her hard. She looked back at Edward worriedly and asked, "Did she hurt you?"
Edward patted her on the back and said, "I'm fine."
Bella finally breathed a sigh of relief.
Fortunately, she came back in time.
If she stayed in the mall for longer, she wasn't sure what Lanny would do to hurt Edward.
Edward tried his best to practice walking. What if Lanny hurt him badly and he couldn't recover anymore?
Thinking that Edward might sink into the depths of hopelessness, Bella hated Lanny more and more. "Edward is receiving rehabilitation training. Many people with leg injuries can stand up again. Why can't he stand up?"
"Then why didn't you tell me? If I didn't come here today, would you hide it from me forever?" Lanny questioned her loudly.
Bella took a deep breath and said, "He's not your husband now. Why should I report it to you? You should just focus on David. You don't need to worry about Edward. Although I'm not omnipotent, I'll try my best to take care of him!"
Bella and Edward loved each other deeply. They had a beautiful house and a lovely courtyard. Everything about them made Lanny jealous.
Why could they get along so well?
What qualifications did they have to live such a comfortable life?

She smiled viciously, took out her phone, and showed the screen to Bella.
It was a photo someone took in secret.
There was a man and a woman in the photo. The man was Bob who was lying in the hospital bed at this time, and the woman was Bella.
According to Bob's badly bruised face in the picture, Bella was sure the photo was taken when Bob pestered her last time.
