"Do you think of accepting their proposal, Mr. Zarsuelo?"
I halted. "I know, you know how clean this Grand Finance. Accepting Limede Corporation will stain your reputation. Did you talk about this with Traizle? I think—"
"She does not need to know about this. That is why I called you here instead of her." I heard Zarsuelo say.
No way. I opened the door and looked at the two people, shocked by my sudden appearance.
"Trai...zle."
"Sorry for the intrusion. Can you please go out for a while? I wanted to talk to him privately." I told Alvin, the Vice President of Grand Finance.
"Oh, no worries. Call me Matthew, and tell me your decision about it." Alvin said before leaving Zarsuelo's office.
"Why are you going to accept their proposals?" I asked him directly. "You have been rejecting their offer but are trying to accept it without telling me. Did they threaten you?" I added.
"They did not, but they sent their new proposal this morning, and I checked it already. I also think that the proposal they sent is now good. That is why I can accept it now." he answered.
He is lying.
"Don't lie in front of me. I know that my mom visited you. Did they threaten you? Did they tell you they would do something to my brothers or me? Tell me." I persuaded.
"She did, but we just talked about the proposal. She told me her husband sent her since they knew about us." He answered.
My mom has not been bothering us for days. She is really up for something, and he is now targeting Zarsuelo. "That's it." I told him, handing him the documents I had and was about to leave.
"Wait!" he said as he stopped me. "Are you mad? I am sorry if I did not consult you about this." he added.
I don't want to put him into any trouble. I don't want him to meddle in our family issues as much as possible. I know what my mother can do now that she has more power than before. She can do more than that. I can't afford for him to experience those things.
"Hey, Wife. You are scaring me. You are not answering me now. Are you mad at me?" said Zarsuelo, who is now panicking in front of me.
"Can you not accept their proposal for now?" I asked. Zarsuelo nodded his head right away without saying anything. "I am not mad. I am just worried about your decisions. I hope you won't do anything rash and you can tell me why. You don't have to keep it from me." I added.
He did not reply after that and just stared at me. I don't know if he is thinking profoundly or if I see what is running through his mind now. He is already looking at my lips intently.
I kissed his forehead.
"Traizle... you kissed me on my fucking forehead." he said, stuttering.
"Yes, I did. And so?" I asked back.
If I hadn't done that, I believe we'd already kissed. Not now, not when I have so many problems I am facing. Just wait until I finish everything, and I will make the first move you won't expect.
"I just thought that my forehead was lucky." he retorted. "Can my lips experience it, too?" he asked.
I flicked his forehead. "Not there! You just kissed it! Hit me somewhere, not there. It was the first time you did something so cool, and you are already ruining my moment," he complained. "I am sorry if I acted without asking you. I won't do it again next time. I know, and I can feel you love me." he added.
"Thank you for understanding me. I will go back now to my desk. They will tease me for staying here so long when I just had to hand you the documents a while ago." I told him.
He hugged me quickly. "Okay. See you later, wife." he said.
How can I involve that Oddball when he is so precious? Wait—why am I praising my boyfriend too much? Am I being bewitched? When I entered our office, the four were already looking at me with grinning smiles.
"I think you took 20 minutes in his office." Alex started teasing me as I was sitting on my chair.
"What did you guys do inside his office?" Claire asked afterward.
I sighed. "I was about to enter his office when he was talking with Alvin, then something came up, and I had to interrupt them. We talked for a while, and I kissed his forehead, and he hugged me before leaving his office. Are you now satisfied and happy?" I shared.
They all went back to their places, pouting and glaring at me.
"Why can't we tease you? Mr. Zarsuelo will get shy first before telling what happened between you." Alessa complained.
"You ruined our moments." Sonia commented.
I was born to ruin every moment. I may not be reacting to their teasing, but I am affected. My stomach can't stop dancing, but I won't tell them. After our work, Zarsuelo accompanied me to our house. I temporarily stopped working at the Snack Bar to watch my brothers. It is better to be cautious than do nothing.
Every night I think about the threat to our mother. They will tell the media about us. After weeks of thinking carefully, I don't care and am ready to face them head-on.
So what if I am his girlfriend? We love each other. We cherish it more and more. I also think it is better for his other wife's candidates to know about us. If the news goes out and it affects his company, I will work harder than ever to pay back what we lost. That is my plan.
I won't give up on Zarsuelo. Now that I can feel my happiness with him and my brothers, I won't dare to let go of him.
