"Since when did you guys know about our relationship?" I asked the two.
"The night when you guys confessed to each other," Lyndon replied, grimacing. "We were listening to Matthew's love story while playing the game that night." he added, almost irritably.
I turned to Zarsuelo, who was already avoiding my gaze. "Zarsuelo." I called him.
"What? We are busy playing here." he answered, still playing with Layzen's new toys.
"Who are the others?" I asked.
"I told you who they are before." he replied.
Yes, I asked him about that, but he could not finish them because I interrupted him. "Name them again." I answered back.
Zarsuelo turned his body to face me. "Lyndon and his friends, Nana and Pops, some of my employees—"
"Exactly who they are?" I interrupted him again for me to know exactly who knew about us.
"Alex, Sonia, Alessa, Claire, Eva, Tyler, and Aiden." he named.
That explains why Tyler told me to get Zarsuelo's grandparents' side. Even Claire and the others were grinning at me at that time. He already knew about us because this oddball broadcasted it. I am the only one not informed that they knew about it.
"Why are your eyebrows arching up and down? Don't you want to tell them about us? Will you make me your secret boyfriend? Don't wanna!" Zarsuelo complained.
"I won't keep it a secret from them at all." I answered.
He glared at me. "Then why did not you tell Lyndon and Layzen about us?" He asked. "You should have told them first because they are your brothers." he added.
I sighed. "I can't find the timing to tell them about the relationship. I also don't want others to know about us as much as possible. Only your side and mine should know about us. It is for your good, especially your reputation." I explained my side.
I told them that I couldn't let anyone know about us. If our relationship spreads and the media knows about it, they will surely bombard the company the following day. It may affect his sales and everything, and I don't want that to happen. I want to avoid them for now. After I make plans and show that I deserve him in their eyes, they can't criticize us. It can't affect his company.
That is what I have been planning.
"I don't like that," he disagreed. "If we keep our relationship secret, a man can still see and court you. I don't want that to happen. I want them to know that you have me, and I have you." he added. I was about to open my mouth to say something but... "Who cares if they knew about us? Who cares if my reputation goes bad? I don't care. They will regret it if they lose someone like me in their business. They will have to support us, no matter what, no matter who they are." he said.
"What if your sales go bad as well?" I asked him.
"So what?" He answered. "It will be more challenging for me to gain new customers again. I didn't try to experience those things. I won't find it difficult." he added.
But I can't help but get worried. "How about my brothers? They might harm them." I told him my next concern.
He looked at Lyndon and Layzen before turning his gaze to me. "I have two options," he answered. "For the first one, I will assign some bodyguards to guard them. They can't harm them at all with that one." he added.
"And what about the other one?" I asked.
He grinned. "I will stuff their mouths with some money so they won't say anything bad about them or you." he replied.
Right now, money can transform the impossible into the possible. Still, his ideas are highly paid for.
"You don't have to worry about us, Traizle," Lyndon commented beside me. "If something like that happens in the future, as soon as they do something bad to us, I will tell you immediately. I won't leave it like the last time. You can trust me with that." he added.
"Don't worry about me too, Traizle. I am friends with my classmates, and besides, Zac would rescue me if you guys were not there." Layzen commented too.
"Look, they are all fine with it. You are the only one who is so worried." Zarsuelo joined.
It is hard to have a boyfriend that is not the same as your status.
"Come on, Traizle. Cheer up! It is your time to be happy too. It's been years since you had one. Matthew can take care of you at work while you are busy taking care of us," Lyndon cheered. "We will be fine. Don't overthink about it." he added.
He is right. I should not think about it too much. I am already predicting what may happen in the future. I should face what is in front of us, then think about what I should do in the future next time. I have to worry about the oddball, not them. They are not my boyfriend at all.
It may be because I have someone to lean on now, aside from Lyndon and Layzen. Someone I can be with until we get old. Years passed, and I didn't know how to be in love until Tyler helped me to realize that I was starting to like Zarsuelo back.
"Who is that ex-boyfriend of yours? I will ensure he will regret leaving you." oddball said.
"Don't find him anymore if he regretted leaving her and tried to get back again with Traizle. That will be a challenge for you." Lyndon's advice.
Zarsuelo looks like he has realized what Lyndon is implying. "No, no," he answered. "They should not meet at all. He should hide in his house forever." he added.
After the long talk, Zarsuelo and I decided to go out. Another date, to be exact. "Wife, we will attend the meeting for the movie production tomorrow. After that, we will also look at their shooting." he said.
Zarsuelo will call me his wife when we are alone. Well, that's better. I am comfortable with it now.
"Before, you hit or glared at me whenever I called you my wife. But now, you are not telling me I am not your husband. Should we get married? Next week? Next month?" Zarsuelo asked excitedly.
"It's not been a week since we started our relationship, and you are asking to marry me already?" I asked him. "You should try to think about it more than thrice if you are sure." I added.
He nodded. "I am sure since the day we met again," he answered. "I won't let go of you anymore. I will go wherever you go." he added.
He is not wavering at all. I want to reach him so I can easily say those things I want without being shy. I want to tell him how much I love him like he always tells me.
"I want to know your version of falling in love with me." Zarsuelo said.
How did I end up liking him? "I didn't notice it before, but I feel secure with you," I shared. "I thought it was simply my heart beating faster. I started to look at you indifferently when we talked seriously for the first time. I saw you as a trustworthy man then, but those feelings persisted. Then Tyler helped me to realize that it was different." I added.
"That was so lovely to hear." Zarsuelo replied.
We continued walking. As we walked, I saw some familiar faces. She is not here, right? It is not her.
"Why? What happened?" Zarsuelo asked.
"None," I replied, "I thought I just saw my Mom."
