Traizle
I got a message from Tyler saying that Zarsuelo had entered the building already. And, of course, Tyler knew what happened last night. He talked to me this morning when I was having a coffee in the cafeteria.
I also have to talk to that oddball. I keep my desk clean before going to Zarsuelo's office.
"Uhh, who is it?" He asked from inside.
"Traizle." I answered and didn't get any reply. I tried to open the door, but it was locked. "Let's talk. Open this door." I told him.
"Can you promise me first that you won't harm me in any way?" He asked back.
"Okay." I replied immediately. I don't think I could do that, though. For him to open his damn door, I will lie.
"You promise?" He asked again.
Okay, I will try not to. I am here to fix and talk about everything. "Yes." I answered after thinking hard.
The door opened slightly, revealing Zarsuelo's eyes. "Good morning." he greeted, almost stuttering.
"Good morning." I replied before gently pushing open the door to enter his office.
I can sense him walking behind me. Arias must have warned him already about last night.
I turned my body to face him. He quickly shielded himself. "I am sorry about last night," he said. "I won't fire Tyler if you want me to. I will support your relationship with him." he added, stuttering.
I guess Arias didn't tell him everything. "Let me clear everything first," I answered. "I am—"
"Mr. Zarsuelo, I have the reports already." a voice from outside said.
Zarsuelo quickly headed to the door and opened it. After the planning department head gave the reports, Zarsuelo went back in front of me.
"As I was saying a while ago, Tyler—"
"Mr. Zarsuelo, here are the coffee and choco buns you asked me for a while ago." A woman, who seemed like Eva, said from outside.
I have been interrupted twice already, and Zarsuelo doesn't want to hear it. "Eat your breakfast then." I told him before leaving.
I will increase the punch I have reserved for him since last night. All day, Zarsuelo didn't ask for me. He is also sending someone to get the documents he wants from me.
Go and avoid me, Zarsuelo. I'm going to kick your ass some more after work.
"Traizle, they almost made a scene last night, right?" Sonia asked me.
"Yeah," I said. "After leaving the pub, you thought we hadn't even started. Alex was about to enter the pub again. Fortunately, Sonia got a hold of him." I shared.
"I am sorry about that. Tyler told me that he was the one who sent me home last night." Alex said.
"But let's do that again next time." Claire suggested.
"Let's try the karaoke room next time. I heard it was fun." Alessa added excitedly.
That is much better than drinking alcohol.
"How about you guys yesterday?" Sonia asked me.
The other three turned all their bodies to face me and hear my answer. "I sent him to his friend's house." I answered.
"Friend's house?" They asked back.
"His friend ordered from the Snack Bar I am working at, and it happens that I am the courier." I shared.
Luckily, they didn't ask any more about that. I don't want to share someone's information, especially his name. Arias is known as the son of the owner of Brandless. I don't want to tell them I met them to avoid suspicion.
At lunch break, Zarsuelo asked Eva again to bring some food to him. He is avoiding me, huh? I tried to go to his office again, but he no longer opened the door. No matter how many times I knocked, he wouldn't open the door.
This is frustrating me. After work, I got my bag first and headed to Zarsuelo's office. "Zarsuelo, open this door," I told him. I am still waiting for an answer from him after. "Go and stop talking to me. I won't talk to you forever." I warned him and was about to leave.
Seconds had passed, and he opened his door. "I'm sorry. Please don't get mad at me." he said, almost pleading.
"Then don't avoid me. Talk to me and ask everything." I told him.
"I don't like Tyler for you, but I will try to be okay?" He said.
"Let me clear up this misunderstanding first," I told him. "Tyler and I are not a thing you are thinking of." I added.
The worry on his face lessened.
"But I heard you say it to him. I thought you were saying that you like him. You seem so serious about that time, and Tyler too. I didn't have the guts to say I object, so I went to my office." he explained.
That's the time when Tyler saw him walking away. "Then why are you avoiding me all day? Why didn't you ask me about it?" I asked.
He put his arms down. "Aiden told me that you would kill me," he answered. "I know and can remember everything I have told you." he added.
"And?" I asked.
"Aiden woke me up early because you told him to, or else we would be dead meat." he added.
It is a good thing that Arias told him.
"Are you still mad at me?" He asked.
Should I tell him now? Someone may interrupt me again. If someone interrupted me again, now is not the right time to tell him.
"I am mad at you for not asking me," I answered. "What you heard between us is wrong. Wait—are you sure there's no interruption again?" I asked.
"No more," he replied. "I didn't ask anyone to come here this time." he added.
Good. I can tell him now. "The one I like is not him." I told him.
"What? Do you still like someone?" He asked. "Who? Who is that someone? Aeron? Archane?—"
"I like you." this time, I was the one who interrupted him.
"You like me—what?" He asked.
"We were talking about you that time. I told him that I was starting to like you. He told me that I should tell you that I like you, and how will I tell you that?" I answered. "It is not because I like him, you understand?" I added.
He just stared at me. He was not saying anything. "Say anything." I told him.
"I am not hearing things, right?" He asked. "You said you like me too, right?" He added.
"You do not hear things. I said I like you too." I replied.
He held his chest. "Oh my gosh. I can't believe it. Do you like me too? I have been dying to hear this from you." he said.
"You told me you wanted to know how I would react if you talked to one of your candidates. I haven't felt good for a week, and I am irritated by the sight of you talking to one of them," I replied. "So, I think your plan worked for me." I added.
Zarsuelo embraced me. "I love you too!" He said. "I will make you love me more." he added.
"Wait, I am still not done." I told him.
"What is it?" He asked.
"I heard this from Aiden. Do you know me since then?" I asked.
"He spilled it to you?" He asked me back.
I shake my head. "He accidentally spilled it," I answered. "Do you know me since then?" I asked.
He guided me to sit on his couch. "That is why I kept on pursuing you. I've liked you since then," he shared. "Remember when I told you I found someone already, and she sits beside me?" He asked.
I nodded. It was when he visited our house to eat. The first time he told me about his ex-girlfriend and his past.
"I told you I was not lying that time because I was talking about you," Zarsuelo said, looking at me. "At that time, my parents started to force me to make more money. That is why I decided to wander for a while. Then, a bunch of men tried to harm me, and you came to help me." he shared.
I remembered that time I was walking around looking for some part-time work. Lyndon was heavily sick, and I needed money to buy him medicine. While walking, I saw a bunch of people surrounding a boy. I couldn't turn a blind eye and decided to help him.
"I didn't know it was you. Why didn't you tell me already?" I asked.
"Because I started to like you that time, I find you awesome. I felt relieved when you helped me shoo them away and told me I was still lucky. You guys can't have it, but I can. After that time, I worked and studied hard. That is why I became like this," he answered. "I forgot to ask for your name because you leave immediately. You only let me say my name, but you never give yours, like when we first met at the sweet shop." he added.
I never thought that I helped him that way.
"That is why I let them interview me and be famous as I am now, for you to remember me. I thought you would find me or something, but you never went to me or told someone that you knew me." he shared.
"I forced you to work with me because I couldn't let you go now that I found you." he added.
"But you have a girlfriend, though?" I asked.
He scratches his neck. "Aiden told me to forget you because it is too impossible to meet you again. Then, I asked her to be my girlfriend. You and she have a big gap. She can't make me feel awesome. All she wants from me is my money. Although I have her that time, there's no time that I can't think of you. I must be so in love with you that I can't forget you." he replied.
"I am sorry I didn't know that it was you. Our life isn't that well that time. Our problem is left to right. I wasn't able to focus on my own." I explained.
"No, that's fine. At least I have you now. I am happy and content with you and with your brothers. When I met you, I could see that you were working hard too much. I can sense that you are on a hard path. That is why I want to know you more." he replied.
Zarsuelo holds my hands. Thank you for liking me back. After hearing what you guys were talking about, I thought I couldn't have you. I was so devastated, and I made you mad. That is why I am sulking inside my office." he added.
"If you tried to avoid me a while ago, I planned not to confess to you forever." I told him.
He was shocked by what I said, which I didn't mean.
"Really? I must be a super idiot if that happens," he replied. "I am so sorry for avoiding you a while ago. I don't want to do that, but I am scared that you will beat me." he added.
I just remembered that I had to punch him. Where's the word I told myself a while ago? After confessing, I didn't have the guts to hit this oddball in front of me.
"Can I kiss you now?" He asked.
"What?" I asked back.
"I wanna kiss you badly, can I?" He asked again.
I quickly moved away from him. "No way." I told him. I am still not ready!
"Why can't I? We both like each other," he answered. "It is not the first time we did it, though?" He added.
What is he talking about? "What do you mean?" I asked him.
"When you guys slept at my house, you woke up with me beside you, right? I kissed you that time. Your lips are too irresistible, and I can't help but kiss you, hehe." he answered.
What did this idiot oddball do?
"Come here! Who told you to do that? I am going to punch you!"
