The fact that Lucius got away with today's match didn't sit well with me. Given his skill, I knew this was what I should have anticipated, but I couldn't help but feel compelled to keep him away from her. I was aware that he would strive to expedite the process the longer he stayed with his mate. Under my supervision, I won't want him to regain her abilities. If he were to acquire his powers, things would become quite distracting. As I watched the contest, shock filled my eyes. I was unable to keep my mouth shut.
I was completely taken aback by that, and all I could think about was the risks involved in her being with him. Even though I knew things wouldn't turn out the way I had hoped, I can't bring myself to accept it. The most crucial thing is that I ultimately get what I want, and everything will work out for me with no one standing in my way. All I could do was try to come up with a plan to stop her. It seemed as though something was preventing me from accomplishing my goals.
I had the impression that he had support from someone. I knew it had to be coming from Freya since there was no way he could have been this brilliant without anyone's assistance. I was aware that Freya would stop at nothing to prepare him for tomorrow's fight; even if he lost, he would still be motivated by his self-imposed training. All of this will stick in his memory, and he may wish to stand up again and defend his partner. I was aware that nobody could stop him if he approached us with a determined demeanor.
I was aware that I would have to take all the necessary actions to ensure his defeat in tomorrow's bout. I was beginning to believe that Freya was aware of his identity and strength, which is why she was initially certain he would prevail in the battle. I was certain that she already knew and that things would get serious if she found out. I couldn't help but wonder why she was matched with him by the moon goddess. It was preferable if she had not been a well-liked character in the werewolf community. The night I left him at his pack, I wished I had killed him. I couldn't resist the urge to travel back in time.
I could have made amends for my errors. I was aware that if I had murdered him, he would never have become involved with Freya. I had the feeling that the error you committed years prior would affect me, but I refused to allow that to occur. I'm not going to give him the chance to accomplish that. I have something for him that will surprise and stun him. It will surprise him.
"Assign alpha Aiden," I said to the security officer positioned in front of my door. The day's duel was done, and I knew that Freya would have been preparing him for tomorrow's duel, which would undoubtedly be more enjoyable. So here I am, in my chamber with Freya's pack.
I'll see to it that Freya and her partner suffer humiliation. I was aware that things might not turn out as planned, but I don't plan on quitting. I would rather not give up what I have for him; I would rather figure out a way to slog through it. I had spent years starting this, and I was not going to stop. I would see to it that my request is fulfilled and that he continues to be an Omega.
There was a knock on the door, and I knew instantly that Aiden was there. I understood that it was my fear of joining the council, so I was relieved that he could be here as soon as possible. I was certain that nobody could violate my directive. I understood that Freya had agreed to allow the combat to happen because, as she negotiated with me a few days later, the duel had to happen within her pack. She was able to persuade me, though, and I realized that I should grant her wish even if I wasn't going to let that happen.
I realized I might benefit from caving in to her demands. I was aware that things could turn against us and that I would need to find a way out. I was aware that there was a 95 percent probability that something would get spooky, but now that the likelihood is rising, I have to admit that his powers were being activated.
I said, "Come in," and the door opened, allowing Alpha Aiden to enter with his head bowed.
I interrupted Alpha Aiden as he was saying, "Good..."
"I don't come here for small talk," I remarked, pausing and giving him a commanding look.
"I want you to win in tomorrow's duel; I will give you something in return. I hate his presence here in this pack, and how will he be able to lead this pack as an omega? This pack, which is considered the strongest of all packs in the country, will return to nothing but weakness," I responded.
Aiden added, "I will defeat him in the duel, so you can relax." I laughed as I looked at him. I was certain that he would be terrified of the impossibly unlikely happening tomorrow if he realized how powerful he was and if his powers were activated. If things didn't work out the way I had anticipated, I realized I would have to let things go.
"He defeated the other Alpha and was able to save them; he was underappreciated, which made things easier, but I won't want that from you. You shouldn't let your guard down. I replied, looking into his face to see if he had any objections, "I will make sure he disappears from this pack the moment he loses the duel, and he won't appear in your life anymore."
"He will be defeated tomorrow with no doubt, and he is going to be disgraced," Alpha Aiden stated.
