Now, weeks have passed since the incident. Things were going well the way I've always wanted, and I've been feeling more and more for Freya. It was official; I was dating Freya now. We weren't as far apart as we would have thought after the incident that day. I could see how the events of that day affected her; she had believed she had lost me.
Although devastated, she was relieved that I had not passed away. Though the situation has passed, I have been working hard to ensure that something like this does not occur again. I do not wish to endanger Freya's life. That night, I allowed her to do what I was meant to do, and it put her life in jeopardy. I had to become involved as soon as possible, or else she would have passed on that day. I knew that if I had done what I needed to do, none of that would have happened, but if I had not gotten involved, things would have grown worse.
I was too weak, both physically and mentally, to be the one torturing the man. That not only made me less fortunate, but it also endangered Freya's life. I've made a self-promise to ensure that something similar never occurs. I would stop at nothing to protect Freya from harm.
I must say that after putting in a lot of training with Freya's father, he is doing a fantastic job. He had eased the situation. He was able to handle everything more easily, and I'm getting caught up. He has always taken care to ensure that his training method is comfortable for me and does not put me in danger.
I'm getting used to the pack, and everything seems to be going fine. I have no sense that this isn't the group I was born into. Everything seems to be going according to plan. Being with my partner and her family makes me feel pleased and joyful. I hardly feel like an orphan because they all treated me like one of them.
Everything that is happening to me makes me happy. I was brought to this pack undoubtedly by blessing, and I felt bad about all I had said to Freya when she took me to her pack. I have a sense of belonging here, and I feel secure with everyone in her pack.
Here I am walking back to my room, perspiring profusely. Freya relocated my room to be near hers because she didn't want me to get wounded, and she was worried that what occurred the previous day might happen again. Every time I lay eyes on her, it's as though I've been submerged in love. I can't stop adoring her. Nothing had changed, and everything had been going along perfectly.
A smile crossed my face as I entered my room. We're going on a date in the woods tonight, and I have to get everything ready before Freya comes back. Even though it was nearly dusk, I still had enough time to get everything ready. When I told Samuel about it, he provided me with all the assistance I required. That pleased me, but he had sent someone else to drop it off at the site because he was busy.
Everything would have to be set up by me, but there is nothing wrong with that. I was aware that there would be no way I could make it, so I wouldn't remember performing the exact same thing at my previous pack. I would never forget doing that and never forgetting my obsession with Selene. I would never forget all the crazy things I had done when I first met Freya and when I was a part of my last pack.
After taking a cold bath under the shower and drying off with a towel knotted around my waist, I left the bathroom. My hair was soaking in water. I let out a quiet sigh as my entire body—including my hair—dried. After getting dressed, I left my room to get the items I would need for the date.
I was relieved to have informed Freya about our planned date night in advance after spending an hour finishing up the arrangements. After returning home by foot, I made my way to my room to get ready for the date. Freya had gone back home, and it was now getting dark. Even though I knew Freya wouldn't forget such a thing, I reminded her about the date. I was aware that she treasured our dates just as much as I do.
I left my room and went straight to Freya's without knocking. I took a long time attempting to seem respectable, so I knew she would have finished what she was doing by now.
She was still in the restroom, and I was astonished to learn that she wasn't finished. With a pout on my face, I left her room, understanding that it would take a while for her to finish. I waited expectantly at the entrance, expecting to hear the sound of the door opening, but I never did. I anticipated that getting her clothes on would take a long time.
"I will be in my room, waiting for you," I cried as I opened the door. I was certain that she would hear me and could not possibly claim not to have heard me.
I had been waiting in my room for hours now. I had assumed that she would hurry up to my room, but she hasn't. I was aware that she would have finished whatever it was she was doing.
I got up and went to leave my room. I softly knocked on her door, afraid to open it since I thought she could still be nude. I understood that going into her room without knocking would not be a good idea. Even though I knew I had gone into her room without knocking, I assumed she would have finished up by now. I was aware that if I went into her room, I might discover she wasn't finished.
I heard her say, "Come in; the door is not locked," and I opened the door grudgingly.
I noticed her cuddling her hands on the bed, and my mouth dropped open. I was shocked that, after all this time, she had finished and hadn't visited my room.
"What? "You're done, but why didn't you come to my room?" I pointed my finger at her and yelled at her.
As far as I recall, you were meant to come collect me, so do you expect me to come to your room? She added, "I finished getting dressed hours ago," and I looked at her in disbelief.
"But... I thought I told you to come to my room after you are done; you don't expect me to stay at the door forever," I replied while staring at her.
She smiled at me and gently nodded her head. "You would have stayed in your room if I hadn't come to check up on you," I stated once more.
As soon as I looked out the window, my eyes widened in horror. The lamp in her room was the only source of light because it was already dark outside.
She grinned and added, "I'm glad you're here. I was expecting you to come sooner, and I would have stayed up all night waiting for you to come to my room."
