The Forgotten Billionaire Chapter 35

Thea's Point of View Craig’s entry was exact after the man answered, albeit a touch breathless. He glanced at me as soon as he walked in. Then huge steps embraced me. I’m still giggling at his look because I’m afraid someone will think what happened to me was terrible. I turned to look at Ray and Megan, who were now whispering but still arguing, while I hugged him. Wayne was the last I glanced at; his eyes were turned from me, and I could see grief and hatred in his gaze. Perhaps he wasn’t used to seeing things like this. Craig adjusted his stance after letting go of the hug. His gaze was drawn instantly to Wayne. Wayne is now resting against the wall, arms crossed and a bored expression on his face. Craig and he gazed at one other for a long time, as though they were tense. They wouldn’t have dropped their keen stare if Megan hadn’t spoken. “We’ll go out first, Thea, so you and your husband can talk.” She was now yanking Rayleigh’s hand. I’m likewise confused about what’s going on with the two of them. There is a potential for reconciliation, but there is still a lot of fighting. Wayne followed, even though he didn’t talk anymore and simply came out. When they came out, I was just gazing at the door. With his body, he blocked my vision. I didn’t say much. Because I didn’t inform him, I knew he’d scold me again. I forgot to text him since he was gone when I woke up. I had no instructions to leave because there were no helpers yet. “What brought you here? It’s a long way from our place.” That was the question he posed to me. I didn’t have to hide anything from him, since he was aware of what was going on. After all, I did say the truth. “Do you recall the paper with anything written on it that was sent to me as a death threat? Someone else texted me in the same way. As a result, I’m considering tracking the location and who utilized it.” While toying with my nails, I explained to him. His face saddened, and I removed my hand that was holding him. “Why didn't you tell me? I can help you. Don’t you trust me?” “No. Of course, I d-do.” I know I’m not sure about my answer, but I want Craig to prove that I really should trust him. I was scared because I didn’t know if I would be able to cope when I learned a big revelation about him. We’re merely discussing what happened. I also told him I couldn’t recall what happened before I passed out. Why did I faint? The last thing I remember is gazing out the window at the patio while Wayne was upstairs. That, according to Craig, might be the result of memories. My brain should not be triggered, according to the doctor. Craig’s phone rang in the middle of our talk. He grabbed it from his pocket and hung up the phone. It rang again as he was about to hang up the phone. I took it and answered it. He didn’t want to give it at first. However, he didn’t do anything when I grabbed and answered it. I couldn’t see who the caller was, but I knew who it was since Craig refused to answer it. “Craig, I found out you left the workplace early? That's sad, I cooked your favorite food.” Felicity’s gentle voice came over the phone as soon as I answered. Is this woman’s body no longer shameful? Is she putting pressure on my husband? Even if she is no longer embarrassed by others, she should still be ashamed of herself. I faked my cough, then answered in a mocking tone. “How come you brought meals to my HUSBAND’S OFFICE? I’m not going to starve him." After I said it, I grinned. I’m sure Felicity despises hearing the term “husband” from me. I looked at Craig, who was staring at me intently but didn’t appear to react. I’m not sure how there were fruits and a knife on the hospital bed’s side table because I hadn’t noticed it earlier. He got up and walked there, where he took an apple and began peeling it. I instantly concentrated my attention on the woman on the other end of the line. “Where has Craig gone?” I wasn’t mistaken because I had already modified her melodic tone. She grew solemn and angry all of a sudden. My brain cells are already clapping. I didn’t stop tormenting her and kept going. While Craig sat next to me, he lay what he was peeling on the bed and listened to my chat with Felicity again. Because of what he did, I proved he didn’t care about Felicity and that she was the only one troubling us. “Do you have that thick of a face to ask the WIFE where her HUSBAND is?” I didn’t say anything to her anymore, dropped the call, and handed the phone back to Craig, who was continuing to peel. This man had no idea I had a negative impression of him. When he looked up at me, his brow furrowed, and he cut the apple. He thrust it into my lips just as I was about to speak. When I was going to say something else, the door opened, and the doctor walked in. I straightened up. Before Craig’s phone died, I saw that his wallpaper background is me. I’m happy every time he does something simple, yet sweet. Love is most likely superficial and straightforward. There are no whys or hows. There is no depth. You’re happy as long as the person you care about takes care of you. Even when he does the dumbest thing he would ever do. The doctor stood in front of us, reading his paper. He was wearing eyeglasses, which he raised before eventually glancing up at us. “Based on the results, you had the amnestic syndrome. When we questioned your colleague about how long you’d been suffering from this, they claimed it’d been half a year. Your situation is unusual since there are two forms of amnesia. The first type of amnesia is retrograde amnesia, which occurs when you cannot recollect what occurred to you or your traumatic incident. The second type of amnesia is anterograde amnesia, which occurs when you are unable to generate new memories as a result of a stressful experience. As a result, it is unusual for your memories to return spontaneously. That’s why you passed out because something happened that triggered your memory.” He said I could go home once he discussed a few more things. Craig went shopping for me and then we headed home. I’m not carrying anything else. In the end, I rode in his car while Megan and Ray were in the same car, and Wayne drove himself home because he had his car. I’ll just ask him about the number I’m searching for the next day. I looked down at my hand while I was in the vehicle. Wayne's hand appeared to remain still in there. As I opened and closed my hand, I looked out the window. I had barely leaped when Craig abruptly grabbed and shook my hand.
