I saw Sebastian's eyes flash red as desire showed in them and his wolf pushed to the surface. I felt butterflies flutter in my tummy at seeing him and his wolf desire me like that. My wolf yipped excitedly in my head and urged me to kiss him. But I knew that I was too shy to do that in front of everyone. Sebastian pulled the fork away from my lips and went to stab more fries from my plate, but he stopped when we heard Cameron's voice.
"Kat, I need to talk to you."
All of us at the table turned to see him standing at our table with a frown on his face and his jaw clenched in anger as he looked between Sebastian and I. Sebastian looked angry as his jaw also clenched. He kept the fork on the plate and stood up to face Cameron. "What the hell are you doing here?!"
Cameron glared at him as he gritted out, "I'm not here to answer your questions, I'm here to talk to Kat."
"You have no right to talk to her after what you did. She's my mate and I won't let you hurt her again." Sebastian said to him in a low voice as he looked at him, sternly. He looked so intimidating even in a suit that was covering his tattoos except the ones on his neck and the back of his hands. Anyone would be afraid to mess with him, especially since he was emitting his Alpha aura.
Cameron also shrinked back a little, even though he was also an Alpha. He lifted his chin up in defiance and glanced at me on the bench behind Sebastian, "Kat, please let me talk to you for a minute. Just hear me out for old times' sake."
'Traitor! He's not our mate! We want only our mate!' My wolf said, angrily in my head.
I shook my head, "I'm sorry, Cameron, but I can't do that after what you did. Just stay away from me and go to Sierra."
He let out a frustrated sigh and looked between Sebastian and I, "I will make you regret this and I'm going to have you crawl back to me, Kat! No matter what I have to do to get you!"
"I would like to see you try taking my mate away from me, little mutt." Sebastian muttered in a low, chilling voice as he glared back at him.
Cameron's jaw clenched even harder as if he was thinking of what to say, he suddenly turned around and stormed out of the cafeteria. Everyone in the room started whispering again since they watched the whole scene. Sebastian clenched his fist in anger as he stared after him. I stood up from the bench and walked to him. I grabbed his fisted hand, making him turn to me.
His gaze softened immediately and his body relaxed. I gave him a small smile, "Don't let him rile you, my mate. He can never have me no matter what he does."
Sebastian let out a small breath and nodded. He interlaced our fingers together as a ghost of a smile touched his lips, "I know, cupcake. I won't let him. Now, let's get back to eating lunch."
"Okay." I replied, softly and we both turned to the table to sit back down.
"I guess that was your ex?" Tess asked me as I picked up my fork and continued eating.
"Yes, but I would rather not talk about him." I answered her and glanced at Sebastian who was staring at me, thoughtfully. I gave his hand a comforting squeeze and he nodded at me.
"Okay." She replied, understanding that talking about Cameron could upset Sebastian.
"I have known that you're a true blood Alpha since I first saw you, Sir. So which pack are you leading?" Will asked Sebastian, moving his attention and all of our attention to him.
"I am afraid that it is top secret, so I can't tell you, but if you want to join us then I can tell you all about it." Sebastian replied him just as one of his assistants, the woman walked up to our table and placed a plate of fries and pancakes in front of him.
"Here you go, Sir."
"Thank you, Amber." He replied her as he briefly glanced at her before turning to his plate which he pulled to his front.
Amber bowed her head and turned around to walk back to her table as Will replied with a large grin, looking excited, "Yes, I want to join."
Tess nodded too, "Yes, we want to join."
He glanced at me then looked back at them, "Alright, you can join after I initiate Kat into it."
Tess grinned, "Thank you!"
"Thanks so much, Sir!" Will said, grinning even wider.
"Are some of your pack members in this company?" I asked him, curiously as I chewed on my fries.
Sebastian's enticing, dark eyes moved to my hazel ones, "Only one person is here, you'll meet them soon and I'm sure that you'll love them."
I smiled at the thought of finally being in a pack since I have longed for one for so long. "I'm sure I will."
His lips twitched up at the corners into a small smile, "And they will love you too."
I didn't know what to say, so I only nodded as I continued eating my fries. Suddenly, a pancake was placed on my plate. I looked up to Sebastian with raised brows in question and he said, "Eat up, cupcake. I want you to be as satisfied as I can make you."
My smile widened at how sweet he was being towards me, "Thanks, Sebastian."
It was soon closing time at the office and I was just finished writing my article for the day when I heard heavy footsteps approaching me. I turned to see Sebastian walking towards me without his assistants. He stopped at my cubicle as his lips tugged up at the corners, "Hey, cupcake. Are you done for the day?"
I nodded as a smile spread on my lips, feeling happy to see him. My wolf was already yipping in excitement in my head. "Yes, let me switch off this computer and we can go."
"Sure." He replied as his gaze moved to my computer screen before looking back at me.
I switched off the computer and grabbed my purse from the desk as I stood up. He took my hand in his strong, tattooed one and interlaced our fingers as he tugged me forward. I glanced at the tattoo of my name on his wrist and a grin spread on my face.
