Sydney Marin Chapter 62

Jacen’s POV: Before we can pack our bags, we roamed the whole academy searching for the Queen, King, or Kassidy. All the students are dispersed and started attending the next class. We kept on looking in different directions. “Hey, man. What did Dorothy announce after we left?” I grabbed Sebastian’s arm and asked him. “Hmm... I don’t know. Did you leave the hall?” he questioned me back without being aware of what’s happening in the academy. “Of course, I did. Now answer me,” I urged him, running out of time. “I guess... Iam not sure of what answer you want. Anyway, is it true that Sydney’s an imposter? I never doubted that from seeing her appearance. Dorothy said she’s a lion in a sheep’s...” he stopped when I interrupted him. “Go fuck yourself. It’s my fault. I should have not asked you,” I snapped, walking away from this stupid male witch. He knows Sydney, but now he doesn’t believe Sydney is not an imposter. It seems like everyone is believing Dorothy and her lies. Goddamn, no one has a brain. Everyone is believing whatever is said by anyone. “I heard Sydney dumped you. You can just go fuck yourself, Jacen,” Sebastien shouted when I was already many feet away from him. The students who were passing the corridor were watching me and murmuring something. “Son of a bitch. I don’t have time to deal with you,” I shouted back and crossed the corridor. If Iam myself, I would have punched him when he talked wrongly about Sydney. I can deal with him when I am united with Sydney. “Watch your steps,” I heard Amelia, who bumped into me, falling on the ground. “Oh, it’s you. We found the Queen,” Amelia said breathlessly. “How? Where is she? Where is Noah? He isn’t with you,” I continuously asked without giving her a break to breathe. Even a she-wolf gets tired of running all around the large Academy. “Follow me,” that’s all she said, and we reached the Queen’s room within minutes. What? How can Victoria be in the room while Dorothy tells them she went to find Sydney? “What’s going on Noah? Is she here all this time?” I asked, having a confused look on my face. “Both the Queen and King are here. But they can’t come out,” Noah hopelessly said. I looked at the same hopeless and stressed look on the Queen’s and King’s faces. Peter is sitting with his hands over his head. Are they kidding me? Without asking any more questions to Noah, I tried to step into the room but some force threw me out till I hit the other side of the wall. “Jacen, are you stupid? We can’t enter the room. Neither the Queen can get out of the room,” Noah yelled louder and Amelia approached me to help me get up. “Why didn’t you tell me earlier? Is this some kind of witch trick? How can we break it?” I asked, getting ready to enter the room again foolishly. “Stop it. It’s no use. The Queen itself can’t do anything. Dorothy is much powerful than her,” Amelia explained, pushing me backwards. “Then what are we supposed to do? Kassidy is going to be executed. The hell portrait is broken. What else is going to happen?” I desperately said, getting stressed to the core. “I know where is Kassidy. Save her and leave the Academy,” the Queen spoke this time. Noah must have told our plan. That’s the only way. But what about them? “What are you going to do? You can’t stay here forever,” I asked the Queen. “Leave us. Don’t waste your time spending on us. Bring my daughter back,” Peter spoke, as I could see the trust, he had in us. “But...” Amelia stuttered. “I trust you all. We will find a way to get rid of Dorothy. She can’t keep us here forever. We will go out of here and meet the Slateville leaders,” Victoria said. I know who she is mentioning about. The leader is the first vampire and Werewolf. Four of them are the leaders of Slateville. They can manage it. All we have to do is bring their daughter back. “Fine. Now, where can we find Kassidy?” I asked. “Let me show you. Right now, she will be in the basement of the academy. That’s where the prison is. You have to get her out and leave the Academy. She will help you find another hell portrait,” the queen said, showing a piece of paper with the route in it. We just mentally stored it in our minds and left the room. “Straight to prison. This way,” Amelia pointed her hands, and we followed her. I never imagined I will be in a different situation like this. Months ago, I was the boy who sneaks into Sydney’s room in my own house. Now life is upside down. “What do you want? You are not allowed here,” a bodyguard said in his harsh ways when he reached the basement. There are two of them at the entrance. “I want to get arrested. I committed a murder. Let me in,” Amelia talked. I don’t know why she talked like that, but I want to laugh. “Oh, I see. Who did you murder?” He asked, raising an eyebrow. “Wait. Let me think,” she said as Noah muttered something to her. “Can I know what the hell are you trying to do?” “Why do we need to be so serious and stressed? Let’s act calmly in this situation so we can handle it easily,” she told him and turned back towards the bodyguards. “Him. I didn’t commit the murder. But I will do it now. So, you can let me go inside the prison in advance,” she stupidly said, pointing her hands at the other guard. She made the Guard wonder what kind of girl he was dealing with. Even though she is acting crazy, I took the moment to grab the other guard’s shirt and looked into his eyes. “You are going to let us in and forget about us,”
