I stared angrily at Mum and Dad for a while, feeling like my heart is about to tear apart, I am tired of their decision to match-make me and Sonia, I turned as well to look at Brian, who just stood there without saying any word.

I looked at Sonia again, I could see the corner of her lip carved up in Mocking laughter, she must be enjoying this, she must really be enjoying herself, I Wonder Why Mum and Dad do not tend to reason as they should, the so-called wife they said is good for me could not even consider that I just came home from a hospital and instead of asking after my health as they should and see to it that I am well-rested, they choose to nag me about Sonia's unreasonable petty talks about marriage and love.
I wonder why they could not see that she is only pretending to be caring, when she is not, I know why she is bringing this issue of having another woman, it is because of our discussion earlier, she wants to find a way to tie me to herself but one thing I promised her whether she succeeds in getting married to me or not, I will never love her, she will just be married to my family’s name and not me.

"I am talking to you, Kyle," Dad said again in a loud voice when I made a move to continue going to my room, I paused again and turned to face him.
"What exactly do you want from me, Dad?" I asked him in clenched teeth.
He glared at me for a while fuming with anger, I guess, but said nothing to me, "You have to talk to your son, woman," He said to Mum instead, "he is getting out of hand," He added folding his palms to a fist, with his brows furrowed at me as well, then stood up suddenly and left the living room.
"I do not know what is wrong with you, Kyle, why can't you just start being obedient to your Dad? Why can't you learn to start being obedient to your Dad? I told you I will not beg him on your behalf again, and I will never forgive you if anything bad happens to your Dad, or this family or to the reputation of this family which your dad has built for years," Mum said to me, and then left the living room as well.
Brian who is standing by the door turn too and walked away leaving only Sonia and me behind, I stared at her for a while seeing how annoying she looks with a smirk on her face, I decided that she is not worth talking to her, I left as well, walk into my room...
"Did you see that, Kyle? I have your Mum and Dad wrapped around my fingers," Sonia said from behind me when I was about to close my room door, I never knew she followed behind me.
I turned and looked at her, "what are you doing here?" I asked her, walking further to sit on my bed.
"I came to see how you are doing, Kyle," Sonia said, sounding sweet but I know she is only faking it, I know what she is doing, she is trying to rub it in, the stunt she pulled outside.
"I am fine, Sonia, thanks for your concern," I told her trying to sound cool, I do not want to waste my energy getting angry with her anymore, it is enough for one night I said within me.
"Are you sure, Kyle?" Sonia asked, walking into my room.
"Yes, Sonia, I am doing all right," I told her in reply, still trying my best to control the anger inside of me because of her presence.
"I need to rest now, Sonia, please leave," I added, sounding as cool as I can be.
"Do you know why you are home, Kyle?" Sonia asked after staring at me for a while with that mocking smile at the corner of her lips.
"No Sonia, you tell me, why am I here?" I asked, trying not to look at her face.
"Well, if you must know, I am the reason why you are back home today, Kyle," she said and continues, "I told your Dad that I was missing you so badly, I made Dad and Mum believe that I am not alright knowing you are all by yourself in the hospital, that is why Dad had to call Dr Sam and ask that you be discharged and come back home today, else you would have been in the hospital by now, am I not brilliant?" Sonia said and asked, working over to my bed and rubbing her hands on my shoulders.
"Get your hands off me, Sonia," I snapped at her, getting irritated by her touch.
"You don't have to push me away, Kyle, in fact, you should better start getting used to my touch because we are soon going to be married, you and I," Sonia said to me teasingly.
"What did you say?" I asked her unable to control this anger in me.
"You heard me, Kyle? I told you that your Dad and Mum are wrapped around my fingers and whenever I want something, they do it, not because I compel them to, but I have my little way," Sonia told me smiling mockingly.
"Now, you admit it that you are devious right?" I asked her in clenched teeth.
"No, Kyle, I am not devious, I only know how to play my card to get what I want, and you, my loving fiancé is soon going to be my loving husband," Sonia said touching my cheek this time, and when I pushed her away again, she blew a kiss at me instead.
"Get out, get out of my room, Sonia," I snapped at her getting angrier at her statement, I cannot imagine myself being the wife of the w*tch.
"Calm down, Kyle, so that you will not collapse again," Sonia told me, "you know what? I think I am going to leave right now, I need to let my future husband rest, as I do not want to be a widow before I even get married," Sonia said laughing out a little.
"You need to leave my room now, Sonia," I snapped at her again.
"I am leaving already, Kyle, you don't need to stress it," she said and turned to leave.
I sneered at her as I watched her leave the room and almost immediately I stood up and slammed the door after her.
"What a b*tch," I said out loud, getting so furious this time.
She always finds a way to piss me off and it is somehow draining the life out of me, I do not know how much longer I can endure this.
I feel like this now that I am not even married to her what will become of me if I eventually marry her? I asked within me going to lie on my bed.
"It is alright, Kyle," I said out loud to myself, you have to find a way so stop letting her get to you, I think she enjoys it whenever she knows that what she is doing is getting to me, I said to myself again, trying to push the thought of Sonia away from my mind.
