At Annabel's home…
They had all gotten home already. Everyone was tired as they sat down. Mara and Daniel sat on the tiled floor while David, Annabel and Rose sat on the couch as Annabel never stopped caressing Rose's head that was placed on her thigh. They were all tired and need to rest.
They all rested for Some time and after a while, Mara and Annabel stood from their seated position as they held Rose and walked her towards her bathroom that was located inside her room so she could take her bathe.
Once they were done helping Rose take a shower, the both girls made her lay on the bed and once she did, they waited for her to drift off to sleep. Unto realizing she had slept off, Annabel and Mara covered Rose properly with the bed cover that was beautifully arranged on the bed. They turned off the light and once the room was dark, they walked out of it and headed towards the sitting room where David and Daniel had sat, waiting for them.
Once they got to the sitting room, Mara joined Daniel who was still seated on the floor as she sat beside him and placed her head on his shoulders while Annabel sat next to David, placed her palm across his and then started to caress it. Feeling how smooth his palm was.
The atmosphere was calm for sometime but then, Mara broke the silence as she spoke with her head still placed on Daniel's shoulders but this time, her right hand was placed on his chest, feeling the hairs on his chest through his dress.
She took a heavy sigh of relief before the words finally tried leaving her mouth as she concentrated her gaze at a particular direction without blinking her eyes.
She cleared her throat and was now ready to speak.
Everyone got curious on what she wanted to say as they all concentrated on her to hear what she had to say.
"She is heartbroken... I know this, I feel my sister's pain. Heaven knows what had happened when she went into that room before we arrived. I'm sure he must have said something harsh to her and that was why my sister was unable to speak to us about what happened. I… I just know something happened."
Said Mara and when Daniel noticed how weak her voice was, he raised her head from his shoulders to get a better view of her face and when he did, he saw those tears on her eyes. They hadn't dropped yet but was about to.
Unto seeing that, he spoke.
"Hey baby, don't…"
Daniel couldn't finish his statement. He wanted to tell her not to cry but before he could say it, he saw those tears already flowing as he swallowed his words. Once he saw those tears, he felt pity for his dearest Mara as he wiped her tears with the help of his palm before he spoke.
"Baby… please, don't do this. Everything is going to be okay soon. Trust me. I and David will try to make him get back his lost memory but it will take a little time and that's the time we are asking from you and Annabel. You both should be strong for Rose. Right now, she needs you girls. Okay? Please, don't cry.".
Daniel said as he wiped Mara's tears again for the second time.
"Don't cry my baby girl."
He said again and within seconds, he pulled Mara close to him, making her lay on the ground and placing her head on his thigh.
On the other hand, Annabel and David sat quietly and watched the scene. As Annabel heard Daniel say She and Mara needed to be strong for their friend, Annabel nodded. Agreeing with what Daniel had said earlier but then, she spoke in anger.
"Mara, this isn't the time to cry. Sis, Crystabel was so lucky that I couldn't find her. She should be grateful to her God if not, I'm sure she would be going home with injuries if I had seen her. I would have broken her into pieces. Those slim body of hers, I'll would have broken…"
Annabel was still talking when David interrupted.
"Baby, please be calm. All we need to think about now is to find a way on how to make him regain his memories and this can only be possible if you girls don't cause violence. Once Rose is okay, maybe by tomorrow or a day after tomorrow, I'll tell you all the plan I have."
Said David and immediately they all heard him mention "plan", they forcefully turned and gazed up at him as they all asked same question at the same time.
"Plan? What plan?"
They all asked and when he heard their question, he spoke.
"It's late. We should freshen up and sleep now."
Said David as he held Annabel. They stood from their seated position and walked towards Annabel's room while Daniel joined Mara in her room as well.
They were frustrated because after being so eager to hear the plan, all he did was tell them to go to bed! They had no choice but to follow his order because they were all tired and needed to rest. It was obvious none of them was hungry.
