As everyone was moving out, Rose ran towards Mr. Evidence as she spoke in tears.
"It's me, Rose. Do you remember?" I know the doctor said we shouldn't force you to regain your lost memories but at least please try to remember me. You promised to love me forever… please… you promised."
She cried bitterly and because of how loud she had spoken and cried, the sound of her cry and voice attracted others attention. They all turned backwards, only to see Rose kneeling in front of Mr. Evidence who was now confused as his brain tried to process all he had heard her say.
Unto hearing her words, he creased his brows and didn't say a word to anyone. His brain was still processing the shocking statement of Rose. He tried so hard to remember but the more he tried, the more it became so difficult to remember. All he did was groan in frustration as he never stopped trying to see if he could remember her but nothing seemed to work.
While Mr. Evidence sat without saying a word, Rose felt something touch her from the behind and when she turned, she saw that It was Mara and Annabel who had held her shoulders and trying to help her stand from her kneeling position.
"Don't touch me."
Said Rose as she tried pulling Annabel and Mara's hands that were already placed on her shoulders as she spoke again.
"I want him to remember me. Please, sister."
Rose begged as she looked up to Mara and Annabel who were already trying to hold their tears from dropping.
"Please, sister."
Rose begged again and within few minutes, she averted her gaze to Mr. Evidence who was still confused on what was going on and said;
"Please… it's me. I was with you when you were unconscious… I was so scared. I was with you. When you fell, I got Confused on what to do before I managed to call Mike who helped me rush you to the hospital. Please… remember."
Rose pleaded and when she saw that her words weren't making any impact on Mr. Evidence, she decided to stand from her kneeling position and walked towards him. She stood so close to him with her tearful eyes, she looked right into his confused eyes. Their both eyes were now gazing at each other. It was obvious that everyone could see the confusion in Mr. Evidence's eyes. Rose could see that too as she never stopped looking at him straight in the eyes as if she was searching through his heart and finally, she spoke.
"It's me, baby."
She teared up.
Said Rose as she raised her hand and tried caressing Mr. Evidence's face but it was so unfortunate that he held her hand. Stopping it from reaching his face.
His grip on her was a bit tight that Rose could feel some pain.
Everyone was still inside the room because earlier, when they realized Annabel and Mara had gone back into the room to fetch Rose, they had no choice but to follow them. They just stood and watched the scene before them without saying a word.
Now, they could see the anger that was obvious in the condom CEO's eyes, Annabel and Mara could see that too but finally Mr. Evidence spoke.
"Who is she?"
He asked, waiting to see if anyone would give him the answers to his question but unfortunately, no one answered. Unto realizing that, he got upset and then he asked again.
"I said who is she?"
Mr. Evidence asked for the second time and for peace to reign, David decided to give him the answer to his question.
"She is…" He couldn't finish his statement.
It was unfortunate that that was the scene that caught the doctor's eyes. The doctor walked into the hospital room and wondered what had happened but then, he spoke.
"He should be resting now and not talking. Please everyone should leave. He needs to rest."
Said the doctor and immediately, Mr. Evidence freed Rose's hand and within seconds, Annabel and Mara moved towards Rose. They got to her and held her by her shoulders as they helped her walk out of the room. They all walked out, leaving Mr. Evidence to have some rest but meanwhile, all the things Rose had said, didn't stop playing on his head yet.
At the reception…
They were all out, about walking out from the exit door of the reception but then, Annabel realized someone was missing. Crystabel! Crystabel wasn't among them. Annabel turned to see if Crystabel was still at the back and when she did, she couldn't see anyone that looked like Crystabel. She wondered where she was as she asked.
"Where is Crystabel?"
Annabel's question attracted everyone's attention. Unto hearing Annabel's question, in awe, everyone looked around themselves to see if Crystabel was among them but it was surprising that they didn't see her and also didn't find any clue about her whereabouts.
"Maybe she left the first moment my brother had asked us to leave. Probably, she didn't come in for the second time into the room before the doctor came in."
Mr. Evidence's brother replied as he used his fingers to scratch his shinny skull that had no hair and after his reply, Mara sighted the doctor walking towards them and when she was sure he was walking to approach them, she called to the attention of others as they all waited for the doctor's arrival at their standing position to hear what he has to say.
A moment later, the doctor had already gotten towards them and when they noticed his presence, they all curiously gazed at him.
The doctor cleared his throat.
"..."
Everyone was mute and still impatiently waiting for him to speak and they didn't have to wait any longer because he finally spoke.
The doctor cleared his throat again as he said to everyone but his gaze was directly on Annabel who held Rose's shoulder, making her lean on her.
"As much as she is hurt and wants him to remember her so soon, I advise her not to do it the way she tried to."
Said the doctor because Earlier, while walking to the hospital room, he saw and heard Mr. Evidence asks about Rose's identity but he was quick to interrupt them because he knew that even if David succeeded in telling Mr. Evidence who Rose was to him, it was under probability that he would remember her. He felt it was too dangerous and early for him at this stage. He just regained consciousness and needed some rest.
"He needs some time to heal. He just got out of an unconscious state. You are a doctor and you should understand my point. Try to explain to your friend and I believe, with time, everything will be okay."
He said and Annabel nodded.
"Goodnight. You all can visit tomorrow whenever you feel like and like I said earlier, he needs some time to heal. Try to make your friend understand this."
Said the Doctor as he gave a hand shake to Mr. Evidence's brother, Mike, David and Daniel.
After a moment, the doctor left his standing position and went in a different direction. The direction he went towards wasn't where his office was located. It was obvious he was heading home. He strolled to a garage where it was said that only doctors parked their cars and when he got there, he walked towards his car. He got to his car, unlocked it as he accelerated.
Annabel and others were already outside and were also ready to leave. They stood and watched the doctor's car accelerate.
"I'll be going home now."
Said Mr. Evidence's brother and within seconds, he strolled down to the place he parked his car and accelerated as well, leaving Rose, Mara, Annabel, David and Daniel at the hospital premises.
As they all stood, Mara could observe Annabel closely. She could see the anger in Annabel's eyes as she saw Annabel looking around like she was searching for someone. Mara was sure she was definitely looking for Crystabel. It seemed the anger she was trying to hold had already escaped from its cage.
"Be calm, sister."
Mara said to Annabel.
Annabel could think nothing, rather than beating up Crystabel. She was damn angry that the only thing that would calm her down was to beat up that silly girl for all her atrocities. First, for admiring David and second, for making her dearest Rose cry.
"Let's go home. I'll be going home with you today."
Said Daniel and within seconds, David added.
"Me too."
David said as he walked towards Annabel before he spoke again.
"Baby, let's go. I and Daniel will be spending a night with you girls. We just want you all to be Fine."
Said David to Annabel. David waited for a reply from Annabel but because he got none, he took a step forward and that was when he saw the anger that was burning in Annabel's eyes.
The beast in Annabel had woken. The Annabel he saw that very night beating those men was now standing next to him. He could clearly see fast she was breathing and how her hands trembled in anger. She was so angry that she needed to ease her anger.
David could see that as he stuttered words from his mouth towards Annabel.
"Baby… please… not now. All you should think about now is the well being of Rose and nothing more. As for Crystabel, you can… you can deal with her later."
Said David as he caressed Annabel's shoulders, trying to calm her and meanwhile, Rose could not say a word. All she did was observe as those tears never stopped pouring down her eyes whenever she remembers the scene between Mr. Evidence and Crystabel. Especially when she saw Crystabel naked and holding Mr. Evidence's cock and was about dipping it into her mouth. That scene broke her heart so badly.
"We will leave our car here so we can go home with yours. I'll drive."
David said to Annabel and Annabel nodded.
After a few moments, they all entered Annabel's car. David sat in the driver's seat. Daniel sat at the passenger's seat while the three girls sat at the back seat. After they had taken their balance, the car accelerated.
