When I heard his voice, a shiver went down my spine.
It was cold, dark enough to scare me out. Regardless, I was confident a minute before but now? I am hyperventilating too much!

I took a step even closer, he was still outside the window, wearing a royal blue trench coat, his shoulders were broad, and his hair was were, he must have showered a minute before.
His room didn't have enough lights to put some glint on his face and the aura around him was dangerous to me.
"So, what took you so long, Ms Brooke?" He uttered again. It was more of a command than. Simple context to make me believe that he is a human after all!
"Who are you???? And how do you know?" I uttered in my shaky voice. I was getting goosebumps, and my head was still spinning due to all the cold weather.

What does he know about me??
Is he a spy??
Or is he a murderer??
What if he murders me??
I looked behind and found the door closed behind me.
"Oh fuck!"
"I am not in a mood right now, Ms Brooke,"
I glared at him if looks could kill he would be dead in any second.
"Neither am I!" I made myself very clear so, this stone head could understand that I am not here to play a game!
I am a woman and I want answers to his generosity in my life.
"Sir, I am paying the rent on time, there is no reason for you to kick me and my mother out from your property, it's not that I am living in your property for free!" I argued, my mind was telling me it's not right to argue with such a man, who dared to throw me and my other out from our home without giving us any notification or deadline.
And I am here on another side of the City in a hotel, along with the man who is not even showing his face and telling me his name.
"As you said, It's my property, I can do whatever I want, and you cannot do anything about it, and I want you out from my property, today itself, otherwise you know how the law works!"
Oh yes, I do know very adequately. How it works, and I also know, you are a jerk in a name of man! A heartless creature.
But I am still a woman here, therefore, I am not going to leave my home at any cost!

I dared, to take a step closer so that I could see who is he!
However, he didn't even shudder from his spot, instead, he chuckled.
"I didn't ask you, I ordered you,"
This is bizarre!
I am a human too and who is he?? Why is he so conscious about his image? Why cannot he show his face????
Why he cannot tell me who is he?
What do I do know??

"And Ms I will make sure that you won't get any house for rent!" His voice again pierced my soul.
He thinks that he is powerful well then he doesn't know whom I am associated with!
Haven't he heard the name, Blake Jensen before?
Then I should introduce myself to him in a manner which he doesn't know about!
"Listen, Mr First of all, I am not going to leave my home in any condition and the second thing, I am associated with Blake Jensen!"
"What about him??" This time his voice came more like a whisper to my ears, as he couldn't believe I am obliged to his orders and telling him, about another man who is more powerful than him.
I might have hurt his pride!
"Oh dear, you don't know about him? Well, he is the most powerful person in the country, and I am going to be engaged with him, though he is a jerk, what matters in your language is power, that's why I am telling you if you want to be sane again then don't order to me!"
"You are not engaged to him yet,"
Came his curt reply, and what does he mean by that?
Who is he to question on me that I am not engaged to him yet.
"Who are you???" I asked him again.
He moved, his back on the window and his face were in my direction, though it was still in dark, I couldn't see his reaction, his eyes, or what he was mumbling in the dark.
"But you are going to engage to him, now," and then I saw his image.
Those blue chiselled eyes were a storm, his clean voice not the same as it was before. And he had a cigarette in his left-hand fingers.
I gulped.
"Blake Jensen is my new landlord???"
I took a step back as I saw him pondering in my direction. I need to get out from here, otherwise, only goodness knows what will happen next.
But it was too late, I forgot that the door was still locked and he was close to me already.
My back was on the door, and my eyes were shut.
He caged me, both of his hands were there to cage me until he starts chuckling again like a maniac.
"So what were you saying, you are associated with me??"
He ran this thumb through my cheek, as he was making circles to calm me down, what the hell I am thinking? Why would he calm me down? When he was the only one to make this storm.
"What do you want?" I tried to be as much louder as I thought I could be. However, my voice only came out as a whisper.
"You have to engage with me, right now!" He slammed his fist on the door, making me jump due to horror.
Engage?
To him right now??
What is in his mind?
Yesterday, he said the engagement will happen after some weeks then what happened to him in a span of the night.
"No," this time my voice was clear and louder, louder enough to make him understand he cannot force me to do such things without my consent.
And if he did, I will kick him on his face, that he will forget even his existence on this earth.
But to my utter astonishment, he didn't even budge from his state, neither did his face show any sign of emotion, making him more of a robot.
Just a chuckle I heard from his mouth before he opened his mouth again, "you have no choice darling,"
And in a second he was at the end corner of the room, looking again outside the window, admiring all the tall buildings of New York City.
I glared at him hard! Wish I could punch him on his face!
"Why do I have no choice???" I sceptically raised my eyebrows to make him understand that I am going to back off easily.
"Because, if you wouldn't agree with me, then you will be out on roads with no money and your ill mother,"
How dare he???
And what about his parents? does he talk to them in the same manner as he is talking to me?
"And what about your mother? Do you give respect to her or do you is an insult her? As you are insulting my mother too?"
Before I could anything, he took two long strides and came near me, then he put his index finger on my lips, silencing me and slamming his fist again on the door.
"Not even a word! Get engaged with me or suffer, and let me clarify you, I won't let you live in peace if you decide to reject my offer again,"
