CHAPTER TWENTY-TWO
Namjoon and Elisse just stared at Hoseok in shock and confusion written on their faces with their eyes wide open.
"Jimin...” He sighed in disbelief. “That kid. If he marks you, that means you belong to him and no one else's." He snorted, crossing his arms and stepping away.
"His mark is a special one and was given by Taehyung since they are best friends. And that if Jimin marks someone, it would make it his and no one could steal the mark away from him, aside from Taehyung. He did that to make sure Jimin doesn't betray him." He continue to explain.
Even Namjoon was flabbergasted. Not because Jimin is capable of having such mark, but because Jimin marked someone so precious to Namjoon.
"How did you know it belonged to him?" Elisse asked, biting her lower lips in fear.
"Only his mark can make you wince that type of pain. When I touched your mark, you shrieked in pain. That mark, if another vampire touches it, you will experience pain." Hoseok scoffed making both vampires listening, frozen.
"In summary, only Jimin can save you from near death, and when it comes to killing you, Taehyung and Jimin are the only ones capable."
"You're basically impenetrable." Hoseok added with a tease. Then raised his eyebrows. "Did Taehyung perhaps tried to kill you?"
"I don't know anymore." Elisse frowned. She is honestly confused by what is happening now. "I remember him biting me the moment I lost consciousness."
Hoseok didn't speak up. He was utterly disappointed by the younger, Taehyung, and soon, silence fell in the air until Namjoon started to speak up, raising an eyebrow while looking at the woman.
"By the way, did you perhaps encounter Jimin? You can't possibly have that mark if you didn't." He asked, curious.
Elisse brows furrowed and knitted together, thinking. Her swollen lips parted and Namjoon swore that his heart went frozen for a second right there just by watching her breathe.
The woman started to think deeper. She doesn't even know what Jimin looks like nor encountered him. She doesn’t even know someone by that name. How would she know?
"I don't even know—" That's when it hit Elisse hard, a silent noise ringed her ears.
Jimin. That mysterious duke.
Park Jimin, a duke, that's what Ha Na told her before. He is a Duke. He was the one who tried to kill Ha Na. But what confuses her more is that how did Jimin came to marked her? When? Since when did he marked her?
Another memory hit her again making her stiffen. Don't tell me...?
"Do you remember him marking you?" Namjoon asked with sparkled of pain in his eyes as a crystal clear view of his grimaced expression is seen.
"M-Maybe... The day when we were at the a-alley..." Elisse whimpered, cringing at the thought of that time Jimin touched her. "But I swear! I didn't even realize that he was already marking m-me."
And she didn't even realized that her body fell back to the bed making Namjoon panic. Elisse's body was too weak to handle, although vampires don't easily die. But the way Taehyung was torturing Elisse, it can make her die in a few moments now.
He knew.
Taehyung knew that she was marked by someone else. He knew that she was marked by Jimin yet he still bit her that time to torture her even more—in attempt of killing her.
Elisse looked at Namjoon and noticed that his eyes turned into yellow. A color where a vampire is emotionally in pain. Those eyes of his made the fragile girl confused. Why was he acting like this? Why did his eyes changed making her confused?
"That's it!" Namjoon growled and stood up making Hoseok bewildered. He raised an eyebrow as he blocked Namjoon from his path.
"What are you doing, Namjoon? What are you going to do?"
"I'm going to bring that little twat here and have him feed his blood!" Namjoon spat, pointing at the door in frustration.
But Elisse wasn't ready to face him yet.
KIM NAMJOON’S POINT OF VIEW
I threw another punch to the man who tried to hurt my girl. How dare he hurt my girl? No. How dare he marked what is mine?!
"You bastard!" I scowled as I threw another blow of punch on his face making him winced.
"Kim Namjoon!" I heard someone yelled but that didn't stop me from killing this fucking dwarf in front of me. He dared touch what is mine.
He dared!
"Why are you doing this?!" Seokjin's voice echoed the entire room as he yanked my arms away from Jimin who was blown by my punches.
With a grip of Jimin's collar and was about to punch him again until Hoseok came in the scene and threw me across the wall with his palm on my torso, using his full strength to pull me away. My jaw tightened and moaned from pain as my body collided with the wall. Glancing at Jimin, Hoseok helped him up while Seokjin helped me up.
Jimin walked towards me. "Why?"
I swear I wanna punch his smirk off of him as he wiped off the blood from his mouth.
He forced out a chuckle with his eyes mixed with red and yellow—anger and pain. "How does it feel to steal your girl away from you?"
I stared at him, dumbfounded and unable to comprehend his words. What does he mean?
"You knew, Hyung!" He yelled, walking a step closer to me but Hoseok stopped him and grabbed him. A tear rolled down his cheeks and his eyes turned into yellowish and reddish now. He's in pain and in anger as much as I am now. "You knew that Ha Na was my soulmate! Yet you still gave him to Taehyung!"
No. He was wrong.
"No, Jimin." I hissed at the man who trembled in madness. "She isn't yours to begin with. You were destined to kill one of them at the end! Even worse, you or Taehyung will die!"
I added. "You three are destined to have a tragic love story. Ha Na and Taehyung are destined in the first place because they met first. You two didn't."
"I'm confused here..." Seokjin mumbled, looking demented.
"I don't know why it happened." I shook my head. "I don't why and how did your destiny mixed up, but I'm pretty sure Ha Na belongs to Taehyung this time."
"I know." He frowned, gritted his teeth and clenched his hands in fist.
"Now tell me, Jimin.” I confronted. “Why did you try to kill Ha Na then? Why did you approach Elisse? Is it because you're afraid? Afraid of dying?”
His eyes widened.
“Are you that afraid that if Taehyung and Ha Na ends up together, you will die? That's why you tried to kill her because you knew that she won't belong to you anyway?"
"How did you know about me trying to kill Ha Na? You only knew about me meeting her..." Jimin asked in confusion.
I knew that he approached her with intention. It's because I saw him that night. I saw him spending the night with Ha Na. And that's where I also saw my Elisse as well.
I was there.
"Wait." Seokjin interrupted, stood between us and looked at me in confusion. "What are talking about Namjoon?"
Their eyes are now widened in shock.
"Did you just.." I interrupted Hoseok with a nod.
"Yes. I predicted them. One of the two are destined to die." And yes, that's one of my special power.
"Yah—Kim Namjoon! You are not supposed to—" Seokjin was interrupted by a loud thud, making us all jumped.
"Well, I am certainly not going to die out of the two of us." Another voice came in the scene.
We looked behind to see Taehyung who was smirking and hands in his pocket, approaching us slowly. His heels could be heard echoing throughout the room.
"I marked her already." He trailed off. "And I'm certainly going to make her my queen."
