CHAPTER TWENTY-EIGHT
The two figure walked down the aisle—reaching the two seats in front of everyone, the ruler helped his woman with her pink ballgown, and Ha Na sat down while Taehyung stood up, grabbing a glass of red liquid served by a maid.
Looking at him, he raised the glass in front of everyone and they also did the same. "Tonight, I introduce my beautiful soulmate to all of the vampires present in this room."
Ha Na could see his smile from where she was. Taehyung looked at her, proudly before drinking the wine with everyone else’s present in the place except her making her frown.
Taehyung noticed the lady and leaned in, giving a warm smile. "I'm sorry, love."
He winked and smirked. "I just don't want you to drink blood now, right?"
Ha Na eyes widened at the sudden realization making her blush. Then noticed him grabbing another glass and offered it to her. She looked at him, raising an eyebrow.
"Don't worry. It's wine." He reassuringly said, giving her his famous boxy smile and she swore to her life that she melted right there—as if she was wrapped in the palms of the charming man in front of her.
Ha Na nodded in relief and grabbed it, putting the surface of the glass between her red lips. She gulped the delicious red wine down her throat in one go, feeling the liquid warming inside. Then put it back on a tray as the maid went near her.
Taehyung watched his beloved along the way—his eyes was filled with lust and love. He offered Ha Na his hand and the lady grabbed it as they stepped forward, facing everyone who was now standing up.
"She, Min Ha Na, will be my wife and the mother of all races!" Taehyung announced, voice resonating throughout the room following the screams of the people.
Ha Na forced out a smile as all of the guests clapped again and cheered for the new queen in front of them. She doesn't even know what she was feeling. Should she be overwhelmed that she's going to be the Queen? Or be frightened to have a responsibility of becoming the Queen—a Vampire Queen.
She glanced at Taehyung who was grinning like a mad man. No one is surely going to stop the man beside her. No one is really stopping Kim Taehyung from making her the Vampire Queen.
"I officially announce that the ball has started!" Taehyung said and helped Ha Na back to the chair. He bent down and fixed the hem of her gown then looked at her.
"I'll be back. I'll talk to my sister for a moment." She nodded hesitantly and her brows furrowed.
Taehyung had a sister?
He has left her all alone now making the lady sneered in all boredome. Ha Na leaned on the chair, lazily as she swayed her feet back and forth, playing like a child until her heels suddenly flew to the ground.
The lady was about to take it until someone picked it up and bent down in front of her, grabbing her foot as the unknown man helped her wear the heels.
What a gentleman. Or so she thought.
"I didn't even imagine that you'd survive a day." A familiar voice said making Ha Na cringe. Her eyes widened at the known man in front of her.
"You really looked the same." The same man who approached her days ago, the one who had the ability to adjust the sight, said and looked above her.
"Now I know the reason why he hasn't killed you." Her eyes widened in surprise even more. It was really him.
"It's you!" Ha Na squeaked making him chuckle.
"The one and only." He smirked and stood up, raising his hands for her hand. "I'm Jung Hoseok, one of the Dukes."
"So you're the last Duke I haven't met yet." Ha Na blurted out, unconsciously receiving his hands. "But what were you talking about earlier?"
Hoseok gripped her hands and put a soft, gentle kiss on the back of her hands. "I hope that everything would be alright. I don't want it to happen again."
The confused lady was about to ask him questions but he just walked away from her. Ha Na wanted to ask him the words he told her back then.
'Don't even think about it. He will definitely not stand by.'
'He is the one who is against of the King falling in love. How much more to a human?'
'He will definitely kill you.'
'But do you know what's the funniest thing is?'
'He felt interested with the person he was trying to kill. Too interested that he can't kill you yet.'
Those were the words he said that left Ha Na in confusion. She couldn't understand why would someone kill her. Is it because the King chose her? Is someone interested in her? Why would someone kill her? Why would he kill her? Who is person was Hoseok talking about?
"Are you okay, Ha Na?" Seokjin's voice came out of nowhere. "Why are you thinking out loud?"
"What?" He looked amused by Ha Na's expression as he lifted his arms and waved.
I hope he didn't hear what I said.
"Don't worry. I didn't try." Seokjin chuckled, hearing what Ha Na said as she bit her lips.
"Mind if I dance with you, darling?" The Duke gave her a toothy smile and nodded, grabbing his hands.
They made their way to the dance floor with eyes focus on both of them making her blushed furiously. Both of them started dancing in waltz as Seokjin spun Ha Na around and twirled her with her gown following the movements. The Duke’s hands supported Ha Na on her back and the other hand interlocked with hers while Ha Na's hands were on his shoulder and the other is interlocked with his.
Then she scanned the room in hope to see Taehyung but he wasn't around. Instead of seeing Taehyung, she saw Junsoo who was wearing a beautiful simple pink flowing gown partnered with a white heels making her jaw dropped.
"Junsoo?" Ha Na gasped while her eyes are fixed on Junsoo's petite body. Hell, she looks so pretty.
"Junsoo? You met the Princess already?" Seokjin asked in confusion, looking at Junsoo.
"Princess?" She raised an eyebrow. "What are you talking about?"
"Her." Seokjin said as he pointed at Junsoo talking with someone. Ha Na looked at him in confusion. "There's only one Junsoo in this race considering she's a princess. So no one should have the same name as her. So it must be her?"
"What do you mean a princess?" She furrowed her eyebrows while slowly swaying her body along with Seokjin. "She's my maid."
The Duke looked at Ha Na flabbergasted and oblivious. "What do you mean maid? She's Taehyung's elder sister!"
What?!
"Why? She pretended to be a maid again?" He chuckled making the lady nod and looked down avoiding his gaze. He looked amused. "She's a princess."
That's when it hit Ha Na. Is that why she called the King, Taehyung and the Duke as Jimin?
Junsoo didn't even called them by their respective names though when she's supposed to as a maid. But then...why didn't she realized it? Ha Na didn't knew that Junsoo could be the princess.
"I didn't know." Ha Na muttered, silence was in the atmosphere making her looked at him.
The Duke was already staring at the sophisticating lady in front of her for a long time making her awkward and uncomfortable. She bit her lips as the man continued to watch her.
"Why are you looking at me like that?" Ha Na asked, raising her eyebrow, and Seokjin's hands gripped tighter around her before pulling her closer to him making her gasped.
Ha Na's eyes widened at his sudden actions and looked at him in the eyes, squeaking. "What are you doing, Jin?"
Seokjin leaned in with his face snuggled on the side of her neck, breathing rigidly making her cringe.
"You looked so beautiful tonight." His husky voice sent electricity all over her body and at the same time, her breathing becomes heavy and shallow.
"Do you know what I'm risking now?" Seokjin whispered on Ha Na's ears as she shivered. She tried to pull away but he pulled her tighter. "It's the fact that I danced with you before the King did."
"What do you mean?" The future Queen's lips parted, squeaking and eyes widened when she heard someone's yell.
"SEOKJIN HYUNG!"
