CHAPTER FIVETEEN
This is the time for Ha Na to escape.
Such then, she realize that she doesn't have any idea where she is going. She doesn't have any idea where the exit is. She doesn't even know what part of the palace she is in right now. Ha Na retorted in annoyance, and was about to walk far away from the room until—
"Hey." A voice greeted, frightening her to the point where she almost fainted and stumbled but got herself on balance.
"I wasn't escaping!" Ha Na suddenly blurted out of panic and closed her eyes making the person chuckle.
"It's alright. Chill up."
Ha Na sucked up the air, puffing her cheeks before looking up to see a man with black hair. Another attractive man. Sigh. She didn't notice herself checking out the young beautiful man for a long time until her eyes landed on his lips that was putting on a smug look.
"You look sexy. No doubt that Taehyung likes you. Also you seemed so familiar as well." The man chuckled, eyeing the girl up and down.
She raised her eyebrow, feeling uncomfortable a bit. "Who—"
"Kim..." His lips curved into a smile. "Seokjin."
It took Ha Na to process out that familiar name before taking a glimpse to the beautiful man named Seokjin. Wait—Ha Na paused. He's a duke? Duke Kim Seokjin?
"Are you—"
"Yes, I'm a Duke. Any questions?" He interrupted.
"Can you please stop cutting me off?" She blurted out the words that wasn't supposed to be said to a Duke. She is a human and the one she accidentally—rudely spoke with was a Duke.
Instead of Jin getting mad at her for being disrespectful, he just chuckled—more like letting out his windshield laugh that Ha Na found so amusing.
"Alright. Don't worry. I won't be mad. I was the one being disrespectful anyway." Jin said, putting a smirk on his lips as if he had just read her thoughts.
This situation is making her even more confused. She don't even know what confused her.
"Taehyung said to guide you at the dining room in case you get lost." Jin said, smiling.
Yes, I am lost. But I was trying to escape too.
His eyes widened for a moment, huffed and turned around. She had no choice but to follow him since there's no way to escape in the hands of a Duke.
Ha Na heard him chuckled and noticed him putting his hands on his pockets. She sighed and felt her heart accelerated at her sight. The man sure gave Ha Na a sudden feeling.
The house was big enough and the both of them had been walking for 2-3 minutes now. It was already tiring the lady out especially with her wearing heels that Taehyung gave her. She wondered where they are going. She swore that if the Duke is joking at her, she will flipped out because there's no way the Dining room is far away like that.
Jin stopped and looked at lady. "You know that I can hear you right?"
Her eyes widened, choking non-existent saliva. Shit. I've been saying a lot of things and this man can hear me?
"Yes I can, young lady." Jin scoffed.
Ha Na gasped, backing away. "Then why were you trying to hear mine?!"
Vampires can hear thoughts?! Why?!
"Because I wanted to hear your thoughts about me being a worldwide handsome?" He giggled before shrugging his shoulders. "And also, only I can hear thoughts but I cannot communicate."
Ha Na roll her eyes in nonsense and he suddenly looked at her seriously.
"And to answer your question, you aren't going to the dining room."
"Then—where are you taking me?" Ha Na asked, a bit stutter was heard and watched him in horror.
He smirked and paused for a moment. "To the special dining room."
Ha Na's heart skipped a bit as she could feel her nervousness and anxiety rising up.
He chuckled, watching the lady who's scared. "Don't worry. That's where Taehyung eats when he wanted to eat alone."
Jin winked. "You should be special that you're the first female human to enter there aside from the assigned butlers and us."
Ha Na suddenly winced and groaned from the pain that is on her foot. The heels are killing her. If she could've known that they would walk for 2 minutes, she would have worn shoes instead of wearing what the King sent.
Seokjin seemed to notice it and suddenly lifted Ha Na up in a bridal style.
"Mr. Kim, what are you—" he interrupted her again.
"You can call me Jin." He said nonchalantly, "Sorry again for cutting you off. Now stop struggling, you might fall."
Ha Na just nodded and wrapped her hands around his neck instead. She felt awkward yet he seemed cool and calm about it. He just looked straight and didn't even look at her once all the way to the said room.
That made her look at his face, enjoying the moment as she took time to study his feafure. He has a sharp jaw, and lips are big and luscious—the man was perfect, maybe every girls' dream. She couldn't deny that.
If Jungkook could have grown up, he would have almost the same face features as his and with small shoulders. She thought and frowned, forgetting that Jin can hear thoughts.
"Who is Jungkook?" He suddenly asked, curious as to why Ha Na suddenly thought of someone who isn't Taehyung.
She rolled her eyes. Not again.
"Can you stop trying to read my thoughts?" Ha Na groaned.
"Not until you tell me who is Jungkook." He demanded, while holding the lady firmly.
"Alright." Ha Na slightly hissed, wrapping her arms around him tightly. She wouldn't risk herself getting injured now. "He's my little cousin."
"Is he handsome?" Jin asked making Ha Na snort.
"He is. An adorable one." Ha Na cracked a smile. "He almost looked like you, to be honest."
"Really?" Ha Na nodded making Jin smile.
"If he would grow up, he'd look exactly like you and me." He winked at her. "What happened to him? Should I meet him? I could be his father, you know."
"He passed away." Ha Na said with no emotions on her face.
"Oh..." Was all Jin could say. He suddenly felt a pang of guilt. "Sorry."
"It's alright. It happened already."
Jin suddenly stopped and then put her down. "I will put you down before Taehyung sees us."
Ha Na nodded, turning around to see another wide door. She didn't even noticed that they're already here. Jin then opened the door and walked in.
"Sit there and wait. Taehyung will come." Jin said pointing the chair at the end of the long table. She nodded again, before walking towards the chair and glanced back at Jin who bowed, before leaving her. She raised an eyebrow.
Did Jin just bowed at me? A Duke bowed at a human?
"That's strange." Ha Na muttered, sitting comfortable.
After waiting for a few minutes, the door cracked open revealing that man.
Him.
