I woke up in the morning and i tried passing my hand in bed while searching for Carlton but unfortunately he wasn't there.
I woke up and sat upright then i searched for my phone and after checking the time,it was a half past nine...i hit the bathroom to take a shower and when i was done,i went ahead to arrange my clothes in the wardrobe.
I was still busy in arranging when my phone started ringing and it was Carlton on the caller id.
"hello am sorry i had to leave you alone in the bed but i had some pending work at the office." he said.
"no it's fine,just that i wanted to feel more of your warm body but when i woke up,you were already gone and nowonder the bed was very cold by that time." i replied him.
"no worries my love cause am bringing back your warm body in one piece." he said in his husky voice.
"so what time are you coming back??" I asked him.
"probably around five...but if i happen to finish before that,then i will be on my way back home." he said.
"okay sounds good...uhm what should i prepare for you cause the day is going to be long and i think i might make myself busy in cooking later on." I asked him.
"wow!!! you mean you want to cook for me??" he asked me and according to his tone,he was truly surprised.
"yes i would love to so tell me what i should prepare." I replied.
"awww that's so sweet of you...actually i wouldn't want you to stress yourself with that but since it's out of your own will then let's do it...you can cook for me some chicken which is in the fridge and you can cook it in whichever way you want." he replied.
"okay got it...will be waiting for you then." I told him.
"okay see you in the evening my love." he said.
"Alright." I replied him and my lips curved in a smile.
He hung up then i looked for something to put on before heading downstairs.
I really don't know how am going to pass time here cause everything here is new and am all alone...i went and switched on the TV and tried searching for something interesting but deep down i know i will just end up switching it off cause even in my past life,i am not a TV person.
I finally switched it off and decided to check on Clare but she didn't pick up my call which is evident that she's busy in work....dang it!!! i always love to be alone and enjoy my company but today is so different cause i am truly bored and i don't know how am going to survive all these long hours.
I went through my socials to pass time but after something like thirty minutes,it also became boring so i also dropped it.
I went out to the balcony to check out the view and to be honest,this is such a good location cause it had a clear view of the city and i think it comes out well at night when the lights are on.
But i need to find something to do as soon as possible cause am not willing to spend the rest of my life like this doing nothing at all...i need to find a job and start working.
I was still enjoying the cool breeze when i heard my phone ringing...i picked it up cause it was Clare calling.
We talked for some good minutes and of course she wanted some juicy information about my last night with Carlton but i didn't give her a chance,i refused to tell her anything over the phone unless she comes and pays me a visit....she agreed to come over any day from now incase she gets off work abit early.
She told me she was hiding in the washroom since her lunch break had not yet arrived and when i heard that,i cut the conversation short and told her to go back to work cause if they find her and she gets fired then i would be the one to blame.
After hunging up,i went back in the house and took a nap....i don't know for how long i have been sleeping but when i woke up,i checked on my phone and it was coming to two in the afternoon and i was getting hungry...so i stood up from the bed and went downstairs to see if there's anything in the fridge i could eat.
Lucky enough there were some grapes and they are good in passing time so I l grabbed them and went back to the balcony to enjoy the view while eating.
Just like that,when it clocked 3pm,i went and started organizing the things am going to need while cooking and put on some music on my phone to keep me going.
The house is really big for me and i wish the lady who cleans up the house could show up today and I l at least get someone to talk to.
I started cutting the ingredients and stuff but something was not right cause i felt like am not alone in the house.
I felt like someone is staring at me from a distance and i lifted my head to confirm if my instincts are right or wrong.
Just like always,my instincts are on the right cause someone was in the house and he was sitting in the couch staring at me....i freaked out cause i didn't see him entering and why the hell did he keep quiet all along?? cause am sure he didn't just walk in.
I quickly put down the knife but it even dropped on the floor cause i was in serious shock right now...with all the braveness left in me,i walked up to him and asked,
"how and when did you get in the house??"
