I was done with everything and was just waiting for Clare's message so that i can step out of the house and i meet her so that i go and fit in the gowns.
After something like fifteen minutes of waiting,i was scrolling through my phone when i saw a message popping up and when i opened it,it was from Carlton and he was asking if am okay?...i just ignored it and didn't dare to reply him cause i had nothing to say to him.
I went back to scrolling through my socials till i got Clare's text that she was done with work then i stood up and left the house.
I sat in my car and drove off to go and meet her....she was already waiting for me at the store so when I l reached there,i went straight inside and found her sitted there waiting for me.
"what took you so long to get here?? don't tell me your future husband came over and you were making out again??" she whispered in my ear as we hugged.
"yes we are so impatient,we can't wait for our wedding night." i replied with a whisper aswell.
"haha the way you are admitting is clear to show that you are definitely lying...okay let's get started,am excited to see you in those gowns." she said.
The lady took me in the fitting room and i tried out a number of gowns but Clare didn't like any of them yet so i had to go on and try out others.
"i must say you love your friend so much." the lady said while zipping me up.
"why do you say so??" I asked while looking at her through the mirror.
"cause she rejected all the previous gowns you have tried on and you also went ahead to try on others...you went with her decision!!" she said.
"ohh you mean that!!?? yah of course i went with her decision cause if i didn't want her opinion,then i would have come here alone...but the fact that she's here with me,she has a right to reject any gown which she sees that doesn't suit me." i replied her.
"ohhh okay makes sense." she said.
I tried on three more gowns and surprisingly she finally loved the third gown.
"oh my goodness Ciara,this is so perfect....this is all we were looking for but you took forever to get to it haha...come and look yourself again in the mirror." she pulled me.
I looked myself in the mirror before coming out to her and i didn't feel anything but after hearing her compliment and pulling me to the mirror,i now get the bride vibes and i really look like a goddess in this gown....it was a fitting gown which flared from the knees with a long train.
"hey don't cry....everything is going to be fine..am right here okay." Clare pulled me in a hug after watching me getting emotional.
"i always wished my parents to be present on my wedding day(sniffs) now who is going to walk me down the aisle??? Clare i really miss them." i squeezed her more while crying and she also held me so tight while rubbing my back gently till i calmed myself down.
I went back in the fitting room and got changed back in my clothes...I paid for the gown but i asked if they can keep it for me and they agreed.
"Clare you will pick it up one day before the wedding day." i told her and she nodded.
We left the store and went back home and Clare offered to drive and i gave her the keys.
We made a stop at some restaurant and bought some food cause we were both hungry since we spent a lot of time at the store.
"Ciara i think you have a visitor."Clare told me while pointing at the house door.
I couldn't believe my eyes cause it was Carlton standing outside.
"what the hell is he doing here??" I asked her.
"of course to see you...what else could he be doing here!??" she asked back.
We moved out of the car and went to meet him...Clare greeted him then she opened the door and stepped inside the house leaving the two of us staring at each other.
"what are you doing here??" I asked him.
"why are you ignoring me?? you don't want to pick up my calls nor reply my messages." he said.
"i'm sorry but i was kinda busy today so i didn't get time to check my phone." i replied while avoiding eye contact.
"i know you are lying but i wanted us to talk about yesterday's incident." he said.
"there's nothing to talk about Carlton...it was so dumb of me to initiate it so let's just forget about it cause it's not going to happen again i promise you." i replied.
"what if i want it to happen over and over again??? cause i enjoyed every bit of it and don't lie to me cause you also enjoyed everything according to the way you were behaving in our foreplay." he said while taking a few steps towards me and closing the gap between us.
"no i didn't...and trust me when i say it's not going to happen again." i sternly replied.
"but why are you playing so hard to get!??? i know you feel something for me as well just like i do." he gently pulled me in a hug and he embraced me.
"I can feel your heart beat which means i make your heart race and i know you can feel mine as well...Ciara let's not pretend here cause we feel something special towards each other and after what happened between us yesterday,we shouldn't fight it please." he said while rubbing my back gently and i sighed cause i always find peace in his embrace.
