Angela's POV
Evening
I don't know how much time passed if it is still day or midnight. But all I remember is my hand still gripping the letter tightly while my eyes turned dry with crying all the time. I can still feel the numbness in my whole body with distress and regret. Not to tell him everything, as soon as he woke up in the hospital. Taking a long time to finally realize my love for him, my feelings for him. Let both of us hurt.
"Sweetheart, are you alright?" Mom knocked on my door and brought me back to look at the closing gate. This is the third time Mom came to hear something from me, because the last two times, I told her I'm not ready to face anyone. But now this time, I weakly stood up from the bed, and went to the door, carrying the letter in one of my hands.
As soon as the door opened, Mom, full of concerned eyes, looked at me. While I just blankly stared at her.
"Angela, are you alright?" Mom immediately asked me. As her hand touched my shoulders.
I don't know how to respond to her anymore. While my lips started shivering and the next moment tears again started coming out nonstop.
"Angela!" Her hands went to wipe my tears. But I didn't let her do it. As my arms wrapped around her and hugged her tightly. Before I let myself sob on her shoulder. At this moment, I almost felt shaky.
"Sweetie, stop crying!" Mom's hand patted my back.
"Mom! What should I do? He wanted to divorce me!" I felt broken, as soon as these words came out of my mouth.
"Honey, you should talk to him!" My mom explained. While I broke the hug and looked at her. "Is this going to change anything?" I asked, doubting her words.
"Why are you thinking like that?" Mom's brows arched.
I didn't reply and just gave her a letter.
Mom takes that and instantly starts reading it. Her eyes almost turned red as soon as she finished reading.
Now I asked again.
"Mom, what do you think? Going there solve the issue?"
I don't know why I asked this. But I think I need one push to get that strength to take the steps which take me to Eric.
Mom looked at me and nodded.
"After reading this, I can say, no one deserves you more than him, Angela. So, don't let yourself struggle to make a choice. Because you also know the answer that you love him, just like he does. So, when you both want each other, there is no reason to bound yourself. When you know what you truly want! You should go and talk to him. Tell him you love him and want to start your new life. Show him that you finally forgot about his past, and now just wanted to create a happy memory. Happy family with him. Don't stop yourself from showing your love, Angela. Because Eric already proved how much he loved you, now it's your turn, my little girl, to show your love for him. So, Go and talk to him now. Don't wait any longer."
Mom's words made me realize what I truly wanted at this moment. She's right, there is nothing like a big issue that can't be solved without talking. And this is what we needed. I wiped my tears and looked at Mom.
"Yes, Mom! You are saying the right thing. I need to talk to him and confess my feelings for him. Now, this is the only way I can let our relationship be safe."
"Good, you made the right decision. Now go and confess to him. Just solved all the issues! Dear." Mom gave me a wide smile as her eyes caught tears of joy.
I couldn't help but hug her last time and thanked her for her words," Thank you, Mom."
After a minute hug, I finally released her from my arms and took the papers with me to go and meet Eric.

Author's POV
Brooks Old Mansion
"Mom, stop crying!" Erish tried to console his mother. While Mr.Brooks sat on the single couch on the other side, pressing his forehead with his fingers feeling helpless.
"How could he do this to us? Erish? And I don't understand why your dad let this happen?" Mrs.Brooks eyes glared at her husband harshly.
Erish felt bad to see his parents like this.
"Mom! Dad just wanted to see Eric happy. Why don't you understand?" He tried to explain.
"I don't think like that, Erish! there are so many option but still your Dad accept his decision and even let him go!" She angrily yelled.
"Whom are you talking about Aunt?" Angela's voice made everyone suddenly stunned. Where Mr.Brook raised his head to turn and watched her. Mrs.Brooks eyes looked at her with hope. Erish eyes also stunned to see her suddenly here.
Angela eyes looking at them with confused stares. As she don't understand, why they all look serious and suddenly something hit inside her mind. When she heard Mrs.Brooks last words, as soon as she enters.
"Angela!" Mrs.Brooks wiped her tears and stood up from the couch to go towards her and held her hand immediately.
"Angela!" Her voice almost shaking. While she looked almost disbehave.
Angela immediately felt something big happened.
"Aunt, what happened?" She inquired with a serious face. While her eyes moved from Mrs.Brooks, to Eric's Dad and Erish who almost looked at her silently. She again looked at Mrs.Brooks who finally broke her sobbing and said,'' Angela, Eric…"
Her voice almost shattered. Angela's heart thump wildly to hear his name.
"Aunt, what happened to him? Is he alright?" She touched her shoulders and asked with deep concern as her forehead deepened. She also looked around but did not see him, she again focused on her and added, "Where is he?"
As soon as she finished asking, Mrs.Brooks' sob turned harder which made Angela uneasy.
"Aunt! What happened? Please tell me! Now I'm scared? Is he alright?" Angela's voice turned nervous.
"A-Angela…Eric…." Before Mrs.Brooks complete her words, Erish come in between their conversation and complete the word.
"He's gone!"
Angela eyes widened her body turned numb. Her hand which captured Mrs.Brooks shoulder fell on down. She can't believe what Erish informed her.
"W-What?"
"What are you saying?" She hesitantly asked.
"Yes, you are hearing right. He is gone."
Angela's legs went backward with shock as she didn't know how to take this answer.
