I got into my father's study room and there he was seated like a real gentleman, just like an honourable man, but with a dark heart, so dark that no light could outshine it.
"Is this how far you would go?" I asked immediately if he looked up at me. "Is this how far you would go in your ambition to acquire wealth? Going as far as killing your son just to get what you want."
"What are you talking about?" He closed the document in his front and leaned back to his chair.
"You know what I am fucking talking about!" I barked as I looked at the emotionless man.
"Russeli, I know you are angry at me, but you need to calm down and let me understand what you are saying?" I chuckled as tears rolled down my eyes.
How can someone be this cold? "The accident four years ago was caused by you, was it?" I watched his face grow pale as I walked closer.
"How would I?" He quickly put on a poker face.
I hit the desk in anger and I watched him flinch. "Stop it!" I barked. "You sent that truck driver to crash into ours and you think this would be hidden forever." I held my head with my hands as my heart seemed to be in severe pain.
"Was this why you didn't sue the truck driver?" I have done my research and had thought a lot when I noticed that the truck driver survived but wasn't sued.
At first, I thought it was because we ran into him and had not watched the road well, or because it was a mistake, then I thought my father let it go since he didn't want anyone to know about my accident, but now I realize the truth.
I closed my eyes and exhaled softly. "Now I see that you don't care about me but only your ambitions and what I can do to make that happen, don't you even feel guilty now that she is helping your company?"
"Do you have any proof of that?" His question didn't come as a surprise to me, he has no soul, a man without emotions, he was a real devil.
"Dad, please stop all these now." I was scared that he could try to kill us again or separate me from Malinda too. "I am begging you." I rubbed my hands through my face and walked away from his study room as I left the building heading over to Malinda's house.
Once I arrived she flashed me a smile and I pulled her in and embraced her closely like she could disappear any moment. "I am sorry Malinda for causing you pain." I sniffle her hair and she refrains and gives me a once over.
"What do you mean?" Her eyes searched my eyes. "Your face isn't bright, is something bothering you?" Only my heart knows how grateful I am that she didn't die.
"I am okay, I just want us to do this music as soon as possible." I held her hands and squeezed them lightly. "Let's finish this Oran Joint Cooperation once and for all." Before I would regret making you sign those papers before I would regret hurting you again and again.
She looked into my eyes and was silent so I pulled her into a hug. I would do this and take her away with me, to a place where we would be together forever and not care what no one else had to say about us.
The day for the final song was soon approaching and I knew there was still something I had left to do. I want to take away all malice from my heart. Russeli had said we should do this once and for all and I want to be happy with him without anyone being an obstacle.
I have talked to Yvonne and have forgiven her since she asked for forgiveness, the only person who was still against us was Mr Gilbert and I know I have to clear the air between us, maybe he could change his mind and stop tormenting our lives.
I walked into the Mansion I had once stayed in Four years ago, this place that holds so many happy and painful memories, a place I swore not to come back to because it was a hell hole.
It was still familiar, just like it had been four years back, the same interior decoration, the same air and the same smell of wealth. I hated it for that, it should have changed, everywhere I had cleaned was still in my memories, the chairs I had sat with Russeli while we copied the notes together and the embrace and everything.
I clenched my fist, this should be a happy place but Mr Gilbert turned into a miserable place after placing a lot of guards and keeping me locked in that room and depriving me of the liberty to speak to Russeli or talk to him.
I walked into the study room where Mr Gilbert always sat and there he was signing some documents and I wondered how a man would be this relaxed after hurting so many people.
"What do I owe this visit from the most popular musician, Natasha Wilbur," His lips curled up in a smile as he got up from his chair and came over to me. "Is there something you have to discuss with me? Do you have a seat?" He pointed at the chair on his left and sat down at the head chair.
I looked around the study room, this was the first place where I met Russeli, he had stared at me with a tender gaze and our eyes had locked for just a brief moment but it held words that we couldn't say out loud.
At the moment I stared at him I could still remember the thoughts I had in my head, even as a maid, I had a crush, he was handsome and I wished someone like him could also talk to someone like me, little did I know that the wish came true even if it wasn't how I expected it to be.
"It has been years since I came into this study room." I smile and look at the man who wants to pretend like he had no idea of anything. "That was four years ago when I served you as a maid." I walked over to the chair he had pointed and sat down, leaning backwards after putting down my bag.
I remembered the last time I came into this room, he had told me not to sit comfortably, it was funny that he now looks at me with respect because of the help I am about to do for him and his company.
"It has been a long time since Gilbert Ryan, or should I call you boss?" I curled my lips up as I saw his eyes turning angry and mocking him at the same time. It was wrong for me to do this when I am here alone with him but I wasn't scared.
I forced a smile and sat up straight. "It would be funny to call you that since you are no longer my boss but rather the opposite." I adjusted my hair and crossed my legs giving the silent man once-over.
His face was without expression and there was no reaction and I realized something. "I can see you aren't shocked which means you know who I am, you know I am Malinda Kristen, the lady you sent away, hurt and in pain."
I closed my eyes momentarily. "No, you even lied to me, after all these things I just want to ask a question from you." I looked at the haughty man. "What have you derived from all you have done for the last four years?"
He was mute, silently looking at me, I couldn't tell what was in his head right now but all I wished was for him to see the wrong he had committed and change.
"After sending me away and lying that your son was dead and collaborating with Yvonne to drug Russeli to make him lose his memories..." I shook my head at the thought of all he had done. "You even included your son, don't you regret that?"
"My company's growth matters and I will never regret that decision I took four years ago." I looked at the unmovable man in my front, was this Dracula? "And maybe you don't realize this, I was the one who sent you to your victory by sending you to America."
Was he trying to justify his actions? This man is mental.
How can a man's heart be so cold, he had sent me there to die but luckily I met Gavin and his family. "Do you even feel a slight remorse that you caused pain to me and your son?"
It was stupid to ask since I already know the answer to my question, it was written all over his face, monsters have emotions when it comes to their family but this one was different, he should be given a horn to signify his black heart.
He chuckled like a real devil and the study room felt so cold that I had to rub my palm together as I gazed at the terrifying face.
"What do you think?" He curled his lips up. "Do tell me you came all the way here expecting me to crawl on my knees and apologize to you," He made an illustration with his hands and then burst into laughter. "Natasha, or should I call you Malinda Kristen, I am not that kind of person." He said icily and my inside snare in disgust.
"I see now that there is no end to your evil ways..."
"Oh no, Malinda, I thought you would become someone stronger these past years since you have changed your identity and had a lot of experience in life but I was wrong." He sat up. "And I will tell you why, because of love." He sneered.
