Yvonne POV.
I walked into the mansion and headed straight to Gilbert's study room. I have been here for the past four years. I always come in here with a smiling face, but today was different.
"How have you been, Yvonne?" Mr Gilbert who was going through what looks like a document asked me as he raised his head to see my face.
"I am not okay," I told him without hesitation and placed the copy of the document Dave had given to me on his desk. "Take a look at this." I had no regret in doing this, I was angry and so much in love that I lost my sense of reasoning.
"What is that?" He looked at the document and then frowned at me. "Yvonne. You still went on searching for her information?" He raised his brow.
I had told him I was going to look into Natasha Wilbur since I felt uneasy about her, he had asked me to let it go, but I don't let this go when I feel desperate.
I flipped the document I had put on his table and pointed at a spot. "This is what you need to see." He looked down at where my fingers were pointing. "Natasha Wilbur is the Malinda Kristen of the past who you told me was dead!"
"What?" He looked at the file in shock and I watched his eyes dilated and his lips wide open. Now I realized he was also surprised as I was, but I was pissed that he lied to me about her death.
"You have to tell me the truth." I look down at his face. "She did not die four years ago, right?"
"How did you find this?" He asked me without responding to my question. Tears rolled down my cheek and I clench up my fist.
"You lied to me!" I barked, not knowing why I was this angry at him, why I was this mad at him for telling me lies and making me believe that she was dead.
"I sent her far away, but I never knew she would return to be this popular." He looked down at the document still with a surprised expression.
"Now you realize you were the one who sent her to her victory." If he had not sent Malinda to America, she would have been miserable as she had been in the past, this was all his fault. "What would happen to me when Russeli finds out she is the Malinda of the past!"
I felt so much pain in my heart just at the thought of that, warm tears rolled down my cheek and my eyes sting, but my heart hurts more.
I placed my hands on the desk. "This won't do, you have to do everything possible to send her away," I said desperately, if he could send her away I won't have to worry about Russeli finding out.
"I can't do that." He spat the words and my eyes were aflame as they met him. He was talking gibberish right now. He closed the file and sat up straight. "My company needs her to stand."
I bite down my lips in anger. "Does that make any sense? You would watch him discover she is Malinda?" I was agitated, but what else can I do than show my anger.
"What I have to do is rush the contract, but Natasha is no longer easy to move and Yvonne you have to keep this a secret from Russeli." His eyes searched mine but I could only scoff, sure enough, he would also want to save his ass.
"He has recalled everything, it is just time it takes for him to recognize her too." I placed my palm on my head, I was already having a headache like my head had been calculating everything that might happen when Russeli finds out.
"Does that mean the drug effect was no longer working?" His eyes were wide as he gazed at me, a line appeared between his brow and I understood now that he had finally realized why I was desperately asking him to send her away.
"Yes and Natasha Wilbur is aware that I know she is Malinda Kristen, she also knows what we have done to Russeli at the hospital that day," I told him everything and I watched him tap the table and his eyes wobble.
He looked up at me suddenly. "You still have to keep your mouth shut about all this." He warned and I sneered. I could see that he too was in this mess together, I was feeling uneasy and so was he.
"I don't know what to do anymore, I love Russeli but I am scared he would find out I did all those evil things to him." I turned and walked away in tears. I was sure that if Russeli learns the truth about all these, he will surely hate me just like he did four years ago.
Natasha's POV.
I was in the living room of my apartment going through the recent song I have been composing with Russeli, today he had decided to come and we have been working for a few weeks now.
Sinead opened the door after hearing the doorbell and I didn't look up because I was already expecting Russeli. I heard footsteps drawing close and I knew it did not belong to only one person, so I looked up from the notepad on my hands and my eyes dilated at the person I saw standing there with Russeli and also staring at me with wide eyes.
Why had he come here with Dominic? I know Russeli may not recognize me as Malinda since he was injected with a drug, but Dominic would and his eyes that were on me were already making it obvious.
"Meet my friend Dominic who I told you was back from Canada after four years." Russeli introduced him to me with a smile. I swallowed hard and got up, even if I am recognized by Dominic, it would confuse him since I am different.
"It is nice to meet you, Dominic." I stretched out my hands and Dominic shook it, his gaze was still on me. "Russeli told me a lot about you." I withdrew my hands and clasped them together at my front close to my abdomen.
I was wearing a long green dress that swept the floor, and my hair was let down on my shoulder and back. I had applied light make-up and was glad I did, at least this was going to make me look a bit different since Malinda of the past had none of that.
"Oh really." He looks at Russell and back at me. "You look very familiar." His words made my heart skip a bit and I looked at Russeli who was now staring at me intensely and my lips parted.
