Russeli's POV.
I lay on my bed and watch my phone ring, it was Yvonne and I was too angry with her that I wish I never see or hear from her again, I saw a voice message from her but didn't bother to listen to it, I was about to delete it when Natasha called me so I paused and picked the call.
"Malinda," I called out. After what happened that day, she had refused to call or let me visit her. She had shut me out but now I was delighted to see her call.
"Russelli, where are you?" She asked me without hesitation and I sat up, wondering if everything was okay.
"At home..."
"Why?" She cut me off before I could finish my speech and I was surprised.
"I don't understand." I know I had no appointment today and our practice day should be in a week's time, no new song to sing yet and we had done the hit song.
"You fool..." She said from the other side of the line and I was confused as she continued. "Don't you realize that Yvonne is leaving today? You should go see her off."
I couldn't believe Natasha would tell me this, it was a good thing that Yvonne was finally leaving, she should never return, she was the cause of all the pain we had to go through, she and my father.
"Why should I?"
"This is why you still act immature in love, don't you realize that Yvonne loves you so much even when you don't show her the same affection?" I closed my eyes, Natasha is right, Yvonne had done all those things because she had loved me, and she was also leaving because of that.
"Where is she now?" I asked as I hurriedly picked up my coat and car keys.
"Incheon airport, you better hurry, her plane will leave soon."
"Thank you." We ended the call as I hurried to the garage and started my car, driving out of the building. I opened the voice message she had sent me as I drove.
Voice message: "Russeli Ryan, it was nice to meet you and to spend those four years with you, although you never looked at me or loved me while we spent our time together, being close to you was one thing I cherished and I was happy."
"I am leaving you because your heart only loves Malinda and not me, I am also tired of interfering in your lives so I am going far away from you to start a new life. I am truly sorry, be healthy and take good care of yourself."
I arrived at the airport and called out her name, I tried her number and she was not answering. I searched for her, luckily I saw Yvonne who was about to go in, I grabbed hold of her wrist and whirls her around as her eyes dilated.
"Can you just go without seeing me?" I snapped as I was angry at her.
"How can you come to find me?" Yvonne looked around, I have not even disguised myself since I was in a hurry as people took photos of me and Yvonne, but none of that matters to me right now. "What will Malinda say?" She asked me.
I pulled her into a hug and she was still, maybe shocked that I would hug her after all she had done. "You are still my friend Yvonne, I have forgiven you for everything you have done, thank you for understanding my heart." I refrained and looked at her face.
"I still wish I could stay by your side, but I can't keep waiting for you who love someone else to look at me, Russeli, live well."
I smile, Yvonne had a good heart, no matter what had happened in the past, she was a warm person and she had a conscience. "You too, be healthy and don't ever fall sick else I will get angry, also call me whenever you are bored."
"Stop acting cute when you are not even my boyfriend, just leave, you have seen me now, I could hesitate if you keep this up." She said with a smile and I knew she was right.
"Take good care of yourself and I will call whenever I miss you." It seems my naughty self was out again and she shook her head.
"You don't have to, just take care of yourself and Malinda, although she acts strong, she is still weak inside, live a happy life and I will do the same." She told me and walked in to board her plane.
I exhaled softly, it seemed the weight in my heart had been lifted now that I have forgiven her. I smiled and walked back to my car, starting the engine. I headed over to Natasha's apartment.
Sinead let me in, I stepped in and saw Natasha walking down the stairs in a yellow dress that sweeps the floor, of a truth she was an epitome of beauty and she was dazzling, I wanted to stare more at her, but I have come here to say something so I opened my lips.
"Malinda Kristen, let's date."
She rolled her eyes at me and leaned on the stair wall with folded arms. "You should get used to calling me Natasha Wilbur now."
I narrowed my eyes and walked over to her. "That is only a new identity, the two names belong to one person." I held her hands. "So will you date me?" I raised my brows and stared into her eyes.
She bites down her lip and I wonder why she was taking this long to respond. "Let's give it a try during this period we have." She said softly, flashing me a quick smile.
"Let's see where fate leads the both of us," I whispered.
"I just hope a miracle will happen as you have said." She added and her eyes flickered, a glint in it making them twinkle.
"Then, let's live in a fairytale for a while." Fairytales always end happily ever after and I wish ours will also be the same.
"Yes, you are my soulmate." She beams and her cheek turns pink, this was the Malinda I knew in the past, she was still the same person.
"Then let's work together." I lifted my hands and she took it.
"Let's make this music a success and leave together, what do you say about that?" I nod, this was what I wanted and to be with her and only her. "Russeli, I miss you so much and thought you had died, but I am glad that you are alive." Her voice was hoarse and it was obvious that she had missed me so much.
I wrapped my hands around her waist and pulled her close to me as I stared into her eyes. "I missed you too." I looked down at her lips and then at her face, she was also looking at mine and I saw that as a go.
I leaned in and planted a soft kiss on her lips at first and then we kissed deeply, she looped her hands around my neck and then I lifted her, kissing her as I had never kissed anyone before, we were both breathless when we tore apart.
I gave her a little chance to catch her breath and then I went in for a real kiss as I walked upstairs with her to her bedroom to have her for myself.
