I woke up in a dark and quiet room. I tried to open my eyes, but I couldn't see anything. It was only then that I realized something was blocking my eyes. Even my hands and feet were tied. The face of the man I last saw first registered in my mind before I completely lost consciousness earlier. It was Ares. Where am I? Why?
My heart was so full of fear that I could hear nothing but the loud pounding of my heart. My thoughts were destroying me slowly but surely. I am afraid of the dark. I was terrified of the dark and quiet place. I feel like I’m slowly dying. I tried not to think but the silence was a killer too. Where am I?
"You're awake." I heard someone say. My head quickly turned in the direction the voice was coming from.
“W-who are you? Where am I?!" I shouted.
The whole area became quiet again. I felt everything again until I could feel only one presence in front of me so I was alarmed. In a few moments, it violently removed the barrier from my eyes so I immediately focused my gaze on him.
"A-Ares?" I uttered in disbelief.
He looked at me coldly as I looked up at him. I didn’t see any emotion in his eyes. He is just deadly staring at me, something that scares me even more.
“W-what does that mean? Where did you take me?” I asked him, full of confusion, and tried to loosen the rope that was wrapped around my hand but it was too tight. It already hurts my wrist.
Instead of answering me, he just turned his back on me and sat on the end of the bed. I just now noticed the room where I was. It was clean and the equipment was in order. Looks like someone is currently living here. I looked down at the terrace that was open. I could see no light from there. When I looked at the clock in the room, I gasped when I saw it was ten o'clock in the evening.
“W-why… what are you going to do? Where am I?" I asked him again and turned my gaze to him.
He was still staring at me as the shoulder dropped, seemingly resting itself. In an instant, I could see all the emotions that enveloped him now — anger, hatred, and pain — that I wasn't sure for what reason.
“Ares...”
“Stop calling my name, Anastacia,” he firmly said to me as his eyes continued to be in a rage. I was even more confused. A lot of questions went through my mind but I couldn’t get them out because the only thing I worried about was the people who were definitely already worried about me. Especially my daughter waiting for me.
“Why are you doing this? Where did you take me? What are you planning?” I asked him but he remain staring at me which made me furious even more.
"Ares—"
“I told you to stop fucking calling my name—”
“Then answer me! What are you planning to do to me?!” I shouted back at him.
His face turned red from being so angry. He went away completely while cursing. I followed him with my gaze until he did something to his cell phone and later, he put it in his ear. I saw how his expression suddenly softened.
“I’m sorry, love. I still have something important things to do. I'll catch up with you later,” he said softly to his interlocutor.
I nodded when I realized who he was talking to. It was Agatha, my half-sister. As I heard him talking, I looked around the room, hoping to find my belongings. I need my phone. I need to call Hector. I need his help. I fucking need him right now. But I felt even heavier when I couldn’t see that. Emotions kept pouring into my heart and in an instant, I was sobbing silently.
When I looked up at Ares, he was staring at me again. His expression was blank again.
“I-I need to go home, please. Someone is waiting for me. Let me go.” I begged him but he didn't even pay attention, instead, he lit a cigarette.
“Who’s waiting for you then? Is it that fucker Apollo?” He asked firmly, so I could not answer right away. When he looked at me again, there was a small grin on his lips. "Or is it your child?"
I was shocked when I heard that. My heart pounded and I almost fainted. How did he know about my daughter?
“Tell me, Ana, is the child waiting for you now is your daughter with that man? You cheated on me with that motherfucker and you even got pregnant?” He was fuming mad which gave me shivers in my spine. He seems to be able to hurt me at these times.
I bit my lower lip hard and blinked. "I don't know what you're talking about," I almost whispered. I heard his laugh.
“Really? Who could be the father of Amari if not Apollo? Don't you tell me there was another man who let you have sex with you? After refusing to have sex with me, huh,” he said full of insults.
A searing pain has drawn all over my being. It seemed like my heart was being torn apart over and over again and it was still being crushed very finely. I had the courage to look at him again as my tears flowed.
“S-say what you want to say, I don’t care. Let me out of here, you beast!” I shouted at him with all my might and struggled on top of that bed.
“H-help! Someone's here! Help!” I shouted followed by Ares' laughter so I lost hope even more.
“No matter what you shout, no one can hear you here. No one wants to hear your voice since then, Ana, so if I were you, you should take a rest instead of wasting your energy,” he teased me and approached me with a grin on his lips so I quickly backed away.
“D-don't ever come near me! You're so fucking disgusting!" I yelled at him but he ignored me. He finally bends to face me.
“You’re more disgusting than me and you know that. But look, I still want you. I still want to taste you. You know me as a competitive person, especially against my dear brother. I fucking hate you now, but I still want you, hmmm?” He was scared when he told me that and in a flash, he violently pushed me horizontally so I almost ran away in a trance at that time.
“W-what are you going to do? Get away from me!" I screamed and tried to push him away from me but I could do nothing. I kept crying.
“P-please, don't do this, Ares! I'm sorry… d-don't!”
