I was lost in her. I didn’t have any reason not to kiss her. I wanted her, so I did. I was relieved when she kissed me back. That is the hardest part when you kiss someone for the first time.
This kiss was the best I ever had. She tasted so beautiful. I felt my heart flutter.
As we parted, I expected her to smile. But what I saw broke me. She was sad. Her eyes were watery. I should have asked her. I should have fucking asked her before touching her. Before kissing her.
I got away and she looked down. Maybe she was trying hard not to run away and ruin everything.
I took a step towards her to console her. She looked up. “It-it-it is okay. L-Let’s go” she said and I followed her. Nothing is okay, Ash, I know that.
She went normally till the backdoor but then she ran away. I heard her crying as she ran. I ran before her.
She entered the restroom and locked the door.
“O-Open the door, Ash…” I said knocking on the door.
She didn’t reply. “Ash…”
The door opened and I saw her crying. I went to her. I have to clear this misunderstanding.
“This… This was an accident, Ash… don’t-don’t cry” I said and she sobbed more.
I didn’t even know why she was crying.

We came back to the party to bid goodbye.
“Bye mom” I said and Ash came too. “Bye, mom,” she said smiling.
She was just crying and now she is smiling. Why did I even kiss her? Without her permission?
After saying that we’re leaving to everyone, we went to my car and I drove off. I left her at her house and went to mine. The entire ride was silent, and not a single word did anyone speak. It was… It was all my fault. It was all wrong now. From tomorrow, nothing will be fine. She will hate me and even if she doesn’t, it is gonna be awkward.
I punched the driver wheel. I am so frustrated by myself.
I went inside my apartment and to her cabin. I have to apologise. I should write a note.
I took a paper and started thinking of ways.
“I am sorry, Ash. I never meant to do it. I was not thinking straight”
I don't know. A single sentence can’t mend everything. What should I do?
I just kept that note there and left. I will personally apologise tomorrow. I went to my room and laid down. I can’t sleep, not after what I did. I don’t deserve any moment of peace.

I went inside my apartment, while his words kept coming in my mind.

I went inside and the silent tears kept falling down. I laid down but couldn’t sleep. How am I gonna face him tomorrow? When he kissed me accidentally, and I kissed him back willingly?
I didn’t sleep and it was 7:44 AM. I wanna go, but I am thinking of not going. But in that case maybe he will come here which will make the matter worse. Maybe I should act like nothing ever happened?
I decided to act on the latter, so I got ready and went to his workplace. I entered the apartment and he was nowhere. I went to my cabin.
As I sat down, I saw a note.
“I'm sorry, Ash. I never meant to do it. I was not thinking straight”
Yes, you never meant to do it because you can’t even think in any of your fucking thoughts that you can ever kiss me.
I consumed my thoughts and threw the paper away. I was thinking that I will act like nothing ever happened but maybe he is not in that mood.
I just kept working and I saw that ‘Ms. Heather Blue’ has replied. Now, that is really crazy.
I took a deep breath. I can’t let personal thoughts come between my work, so I took the courage and went upstairs.
I knocked and entered. He stood up as he saw me.
“Ash, I--”
“Ms. Heather replied” I cut him off. I don’t wanna listen once more how he can never think of kissing me.
“O-Okay”
“You wanna read it?” I asked coldly.
“Ash, is this about yesterday?” he asked and I looked at him as my eyes were getting watery. “What ‘this’?”
“Your coldness?”
“No, I am just--”
“Ash…” he cut me.
Okay.
He doesn’t want this to end here, he doesn't want the matter to already close, so let me ask him what I want to.
“Okay, you wanna hear what I have to say?” I questioned him.
“Y-Yes’ He replied.
“Did it mean anything to you?”
He looked at me confused and shocked. “The kiss?”
“Yes”
He closed his eyes. “So much, Ash but I can stop. I can stop these silly--”
“You asked me if it meant anything to me?” I asked in a hoarse voice.
He opened his eyes and looked at me wide eyed.
“What did it mean to you?”
“It meant the world to me, Chris. I don’t know how you are gonna react and I am not afraid. I like you”
He looked shocked for a moment and that moment was very long. Then slowly he took a step towards me.
“You are not playing any games, right?” he whispered.
“Why would I?”
“So… why were you crying?”
“Because I thought… I thought it meant nothing to you while it meant so much to me. I was… I was so confused and I-I felt like… I don’t know. Like I am developing feelings in some pretend game”
“Oh god, Ash” he suddenly hugged me. My body froze. “You scared the hell out of me”
“Do you… Do you…” I hesitated asking it.
“Yes, Ash. I like you” he got away. “And, I am dying for another one” he smirked.
“Okay, then--”
He kissed me again and this time, I was sure that he kissed me because he wanted to. I melted in his kiss and that was the best kiss I ever had.
I parted and kept my hands on the sides of his face. He looked at me with a loving smile.
“You are so dumb to think I don’t like you, Chris”
“Oh no. Respect me. Ash” he mimicked being serious.
“Um… as a boss? Sorry, error code Respect-not-found! But yeah, I will respect my boyfriend”
He smiled and smirked. “I’ll take that. Will you do the honor to be my girlfriend?”
“Yes!”
