“Then fine. Let me be your boyfriend”
As he said those words, my eyes widened.
What the hell?
“Huh?”
“Don’t freak out… I-I just meant for some time so that we can handle the media”
“There… There has to be another way!” I insisted.
“What’s so wrong in this?” he said, rather frustrated.

And why is he so frustrated?
“Uh… oh… okay,” I said and he nodded.
“Let’s go out then” he stood up.
“Really?”
“Of course” he replied and took my hand.
As his hand touched mine, shivers ran down my spine. His touch was so warm, and it felt like some angel was holding my hand. I almost lost myself in the feeling.
I came out of my thoughts before I made it too certain that I had the effect of his touch on me. Come on, he is so hot and the most handsome bachelor and almost my age. It will happen, it is so normal.
He opened the door and the media again went berserk.
“Keep quiet if you wanna hear the news,” he said and I inwardly blushed. I am gonna be his girlfriend. I mean, we aren’t really… but for the world, we will be.
“So,” he took my hand to his face.
No, damn, don’t kiss it, I’ll faint.
I said to myself, but God never listens to me.
He brought it to his lips and kissed it. I froze at my position. I never thought that just a simple kiss on my hand would freeze me to my bones. I am already feeling weak in my knees and I don’t know, I can fall.
Fall down, not fall in love.
“She is my girlfriend,” he said looking into my eyes. His eyes had a spark, and his eyes were so clear and pure, that no one can ever think that he was not telling the truth.
Even I thought that I was his girlfriend.
“When did it happen?”
“From how long have you been together?”
“Who else knows?”
“Was it before she got the PAs position?”
“Was that why she got the position?”
Can they stop asking their questions?

The reporters continued asking their questions. Ash thinks that I can’t notice how her body is reacting to my touch. Well, it isn’t her fault, so why is she embarrassed?
Anyway, I will not have this opportunity again.
“No, we started this relationship just some time ago. No more questions” I said and thought to tease a little. I turned to that ‘foreign’ reporter. “Deséenos un buen futuro, querido reportero” [Wish us a good future, dear reporter].
I really hope Ash doesn’t know Spanish.
“Que tenga el futuro más hermoso, señor” he smirked and replied. [May you have the loveliest future, sir]
Maybe he found out that I intentionally said it in Spanish. I nodded and saying a thank you, I took her to my car. Come on, I can’t leave her now!
As she sat in the car and I drove, she sighed.
“Where are we going anyway?”
“You don’t ask that to your boss” I teased her.
She looked at me with an annoyed look. “Are you for real!?”
“Yup,” I said and looked in front. “To my workplace as you haven’t seen it. And guess what? It is my house too, so the media will not suspect”
I saw her rolling her eyes. Damn, she looks so cute.
“Okay”
I smiled and took her to my workplace. It is more of a house for me. It is where I work in peace and stay.
“We’re here,” I said as I reached the place.

I looked out of the window. It is nothing like I expected. It is not covered in marble. It is a normal house. I mean… really normal.
“Come on,” he said and I got out.
So he likes normal things too?
I went to the door. It didn’t have the iris recognition, but a lock with a key like the one at my house. Like the one at anyone’s house.
“What are you waiting for?” I looked up and saw he had already entered. I was embarrassed. I am too lost in thoughts nowadays.
As I went inside, I was more surprised. It was just normal. Everything that can be found in any normal person’s house, nothing more, nothing less.
I especially thought that his own house, where he lives, will be the most luxurious. Maybe this is what luxury means to him.
“Um… is it that bad?” he asked.
“Huh? What? No! It is so good!” I replied smiling.
“Yeah? I also think so. I mean, all the luxury… it is good but peace is always at the simplest place”
“Yeah it is, of….” my voice trailed off.
I held eye contact with him and he took a step towards me. I didn’t go back and his eyes never left mine. It was like… I wanted him to hug me, kiss me. I wanted him.
“T-Take a seat” he broke the contact.
“Y-yeah,” I said and quickly sat on the couch.
I was seated and he sat across me.
“So, this is my workplace. Um… are you moving in your apartment?”
“Yeah, probably by tonight”
“Okay, good,” he said. “Here is your timetable” he came to me and sat beside me.
He showed me his phone. I was looking at it, and I didn’t realize that I was very near to him.
“I have to come here at 8 AM,” I repeated.
“Yes”
That’s when I realized that he literally spoke in my ear.
I got back quickly.
“Ah… oh-ok,” I said and maybe I was hallucinating, but I saw him smirking.
“The important meeting is coming the day after tomorrow, remember?” he asked me and yes, I remember, but just now.
“Y-Yes sir”
“Prepare it, Ash, because you are the one who is gonna present it all” he stood up. “You can stay till 8 PM. Or more, if you have any work” he said, and mind you, I saw a wink.
I am definitely hallucinating.
“Yes sir,” I replied and he nodded.
He was going upstairs but stopped.
“And yes,” he looked at me. “We have to go to a party tomorrow at 6 PM. Be ready”
“W-We?”
“Yup, Ms. girlfriend” he said and left.
Really!?
Is that how he is gonna call me?
