"I'm going to kill you," Ethan snarled as I watched him banged the door open and walk himself in.
He attacked with a big right overhand punch. Aiden stepped out of the range and lost his balance, but before he could bring his hands up to defend himself, Ethan drove his shoulder into Aiden’s chest, slamming him into the wall, where he started landing solid punches into Aiden’s gut.
"I see who came for his bitch!" Aiden said and spat out some blood from his mouth.
How could Aiden do this to me? I thought he said he loves me? Ethan's face burned. An animal snarl clawed its way up to his throat.
"I'm going to kill you!.." he lunged, swinging and missing. He slammed Aiden into the wall. Then he was burying punches, over and over again.
Aiden staggered back when Ethan slammed his fist into his shoulder.
"You wanna know the best part!.. Hahahahaha... I've been fucking her so good! Hahahahaha.. She's my wife Ethan!" he managed to say.
Ethan swung a roundhouse punch.
Aiden bent backward and felt Ethan's knuckles swish past his nose. "You missed," Aiden said, trying to make Ethan more angry.
"Not this time again" Ethan warned but before he could move any more steps, Aiden walked toward me fast and grabbed me by the hair pointing a gun straight to my head, I watched as Ethan slowly surrendered.
"So who's going to be needing more punches now?" Aiden said, making the gun in my head more fierce.
"What are you doing Sandro!" I cried out, I knew Aiden was a non_nonsense man but to think he would want to hurt me I didn't think so.
"Aiden please drop the gun, Nuella has nothing to do with this" Ethan said he put both up. I think he was trying to tell Ethan he wasn't going to do any more harm to his body if he let go of me.
"Shut the fuck up Ethan, you think you could just show up and take her huh?!.. She's mine Ethan! Mine!.." Aiden said and pointed the gun towards him.
"Aiden calm down... Just let her go and we can do this one on one" Ethan said and made a move towards us.
"Don't you fucking move Ethan else I'll blow you fucking brains out" Aiden warned him.
Ethan began to step back slowly, his hands moved towards his back and he brought out a gun and pointed it towards Aiden’s face. I knew this was going to get worse, my legs shaking, Aiden’s big arms around my neck were already choking me.
"Let her go, Aiden," Ethan said and set his gun to fire.
"Not this time Ethan" Aiden said and began to laugh as he saw Marcello walking in, he was behind Ethan but Ethan didn't seem to notice.
"I won't warn you again Aiden, Let. Her. Go!" he warned and from the look of things he was ready to fire.
"Watch out Ethan" I said with the last strength I had left. "Now Marcello" Aiden screamed.
Just as Marcello fires the gun in his hand, I watched Ethan fall to the ground in slow motion, I screamed out my lungs in hopelessness, just then it hit me, The gunshots brought back the pain, flashes of images of the same events playing, my head burning.
I could hear the fading sound of Aiden talking to Marcello, I could hear them run out the door,I watched Ethan gasp for air as he laid there right next to where I fell, I knew right there that I've been living with the wrong man all along.
"Beep! Beep!! Beep!!!" that familiar hospital sound that I could tell so well.
I tried to open my eyes but the bright light burns, I shut them back, from the background I could hear familiar voices talking.
I tried to open them again, slowly I did and sighed, I turned to see the people around, to my left was Mark, I smiled as I saw him, he immediately told Maryam who was standing close to my bed with a big smile to call the doctor, I watched them hurry to the door and ran out.
I tried to get up but a deep male voice stopped me.
"You should rest" he said without giving me a glance, his back facing me, he was putting on the same hospital wear as me, his head bandaged.
"Ethan?" I whispered and tried to get it but the pain at the back of my head was too much, I groaned.
"Don't do that!" he commanded and turned to face me, his eyes were red as blood looked like he had been crying, he leaped towards my bed and sat down, he still didn't look at me, silence filled the room.
"How are you feeling? Does your head hurt? Are you OK?" he broke the silence and kept throwing all these questions to me, I didn't know what to say, I wanted to apologise, I didn't want him to say another word, I wanted to know how he had been.
"Am so sorry... I am so sorry" he said and I interrupted him as I forced myself up to wrap him in a tight hug.
"I love you so much Ethan, I love you so much" I told him and I meant every bit of what said. "I love you even more than life" he said and my heart skipped.
He kissed my forehead a thousand times and that was better than any pain relief combination, his kiss telling me that he was sorry, they told me how much he misses me, it said things words couldn't have made out in a sentence.
"Why didn't you tell me all this while?" I asked after the doctors came to me and told me I was gradually getting back my memories.
"He wanted to but he was scared he was going to drive you away" Maryam said.
"You know after giving birth to Junior Ethan, I just felt something special about him" I said. "Speaking of that, where's Ethan?" I asked and they all started to murmur.
"Ethan?.." I called his name and turned to look him in the eyes. "Aiden.." Ethan mumbled.
"Aiden what?.. What are you saying Ethan?!.." I asked him, my heart pounding.
"Aiden have him Nuella but I promise you.. I promise I am going to get him back.. That is a promise" he assured me as the tears in my eyes wets the pillow on the bed.
Sometimes I wonder why me, life has never really been fair to me.
