"Ethan!.. Ethan!.." sounds from the person who kept calling my name and knocking on the door. "Ethan is me please open up" I faintly heard someone say at the door.
"Ethan are you okay?.." the voice said more clearly.
"Ethan!.." I jumped out of the couch I've been laying on and my body hit the ground. "Ethan is that you?" the familiar voice asked and banged on the door.
"Ethan" she called out.
"Yes Maryam it's me, am coming" I told her and stood up from the ground, I walked to the door and opened it for her, she was crying.
"What is wrong with you? What happened Maryam? is there a problem?" I asked her and I helped hold out a chair for her to sit, she caught her breath but kept sobbing .
" I thought… I thought something bad had happened to you.." she said and started crying again.
" Oh My Goodness "I sighed to think that something bad had happened to her not knowing she was just thinking about me.
" Am sorry "she apologized sobbing.
" C'mon Maryam stop it, as you can see I am fine as a matter of fact you need to guess who was here today"I said excitedly but she said nothing.
"C'mon wipe your tears and calm down" I told her. "Alright who was here today" Maryam asked me.
"Gosh!.. You're such a killjoy, I asked you to guess not ask me?" I told her and watched her sab eyes turn into something with a bit of spark, she guessed a few times and Mehn she was really bad at guessing.
"Is it Mark!? Oh God don't tell me Mark was here" she said and stood up to look for him in excitement.
"Mark!.. Mark!.. Mark!" Maryam screamed on top of her lungs. "No Maryam, Mark isn't here" I told her.
"Oh.. Oh so.. if you ain't talking about Mark with this excitement I see dancing all over your face, who is it then?" she asked.
"It's the decorator!" I said it was so dreamy.
"Oh yes!, I totally forgot about him but wait, what about the decorator?" she asked. "It's not a he" I told her.
"Ehmm.. What do you mean by that?" she asked me. "It her" I replied.
"Her.. What do you mean it's her" Maryam asked.
"It's her Maryam.. it's Nuella… she was the decorator,she looked.. She looked more beautiful than I thought" I said so dreamy.
"What do you mean Ethan, you and these fantasies in your head, I think you need to see a doctor or something" Maryam suggested and stood up to leave.
"No.. No.. No!.. It's her Maryam, I saw her today and her smile was just the same.. Her laughter and the way she eats and drinks was all just the same. I swear to you Nuella isn't dead. I can feel it right inside my bones and soul and…" I said but was immediately cut short when Maryam spoke.
" Enough Ethan!.." she said in a very harsh tone.
" Enough of all this.. "she said and walked closer to me, she reached out to touch my face.
" Nuella is dead!.. Please.. Please.. Ethan please.. You have to find a way to just live with it, am always going to be here for you but you need.. You need to realize that Nuella is gone and she is gone forever" She said these words to me and it pierced through all the hopes I had gathered the moment I saw Cecilia.
"No!.." I said faintly.
"Ethan please.." Maryam said calmly.
"She isn't dead" I told her and tears slowly moved out of her touch.
"Ethan.." she called my name but I didn't want to listen to whatever she wanted to say to me anymore even if it was the truth, I didn't like the way it sounded.
Aiden Pov
"Hey Sandro," Cecilia said as she walked in to give me a kiss on the head. "Hey… Where have you been?" I asked her.
"I have a job.. Remember?!" she said, making a gesture.
"Oh yeah I remember" I said and there was a total silence that followed, I watched her walk into the kitchen to get a glass of water.
"So tell me how did it go?" I asked her.
"Well… It went really great, Mercelo called in sick and I went to fill in for him, it's an old house downtown that needed my attention and touch" she told me.
"Hmmm.. I see" I said not paying attention but I was listening.
"Yes.. It was owned by this weird looking guy but he is quite funny I must say" she said and stood up to leave.
"Guy?.. like a man you mean?" I asked. "Yeap!" she replied.
"When did you start working for men?" I asked jolly.
"Excuse me!.." she said and I knew what I said came out really wrong, she said nothing and began to walk upstairs .
"Mehn… I was joking Ceci!.." I told her but she wasn't in the mood for any more conversations. "C'mon!.. I was just joking" I told her as I followed her upstairs.
Cecilia loved her job, I was always against her working especially when it had anything to do with my gender, first of all I thought I was just trying to protect her but from what exactly I really couldn't figure that one out yet.
She is an amazing woman. I remember how she made me open a decor store for her. I had to employ Marcello, my personal bodyguard. Guess he was more of a fashion person than a bodyguard. I did trust him to look after her.
Sometimes I didn't want Cecilia to go to work, I had this fear she might.. She might see Ethan again but she already lost her memories, the more I am still in the picture and am so happy about it.
She was all mine, all mine to devour and she was doing a great job as a mother, it was just the best way to pay Ethan back and it all turns out to be in my lucky favor.
Right now I was satisfied as a man.
