On the couch was Kate talking about some stuff with sobriety.
" He's a fool in love. Why will I love a man as proud as him? Let's assume I do perhaps but he's wealthy, right? I love wealthy men. Look at the Millon dollars engagement ring he bought. He found a donor for my mom and what does he want in return! Sex and commitment by marriage. Well, I'm giving it to him. I can't wait to extort money from him. " I... Who sent that to you? I never said that" she didn't know when she defended herself but it came out before she could contain it.
" I know that now. David deceived me. I overreacted. This isn't all Kate. I didn't kill Dante, fine I wanted to but I didn't. I didn't send those thugs after you. To bring you back home yes I did that but for them to hurt you or our unborn, I'll never do that. It was all his doing. Please believe me" she zoomed out in the part where he denied Killing Dante.
David wouldn't do that right? But to what essence? Did he do it to have her turn to him? How did he know she was arrested?
Then her mind wandered to the video of herself loathing Alvin and recalled speaking to Naomi about her fears in meeting Alvin's sophisticated parents.
Could Naomi had her fooled? Was she responsible for her misfortunes? Then again, she did know about her One nightstand with Dante.
" What do you mean? I don't understand?
" It means I took action because you took him away from me. I do know that I'm guilty as well. David didn't tell me to treat you the way I did and I'm sorry Kate. I'm truly sorry" she glared at him and huffed pacing.
" It's a good thing you know that because you knew I wasn't at fault yet you allowed Carla Lorenzo to arrest me"
" And I dealt with her for it. Believed me." He cut in as she furrowed her brows trying to process the info.
" I need some time to think this through. You had this video all this time and kept it away from me? I can't believe you, Alvin. You did everything to me because of some video? It's not even my voice. Is that what I sound like? You didn't even know me enough to confront me yet you preferred to torture me till the end. Is that humanity? You're cruel Alvin. You're a monster. Despite how angry I am at you, how much I hate you right now. I listened to your so-called info but you couldn't do it. I'm out of here. If David really did it, I'll get back at him myself. We're so having that divorce. You monster" she blurted out going for the door but Alvin held her back.
" I wish I had confidence like you do. I'm sorry Kate. Please, let's do this together. I want to make this right. I need you" he pleaded almost tearing up at her loathing eyes.
" I can't help you Alvin and I definitely do not need your help. I repeat stay the heck away from me" she didn't see herself believing a thing anyone said about him without asking him.
How could he believe an ordinary video over her? Did she behave like she wanted to leave him? She didn't want to leave him until the one nightstand.
The memory of suffering for something she didn't do intensified her anger towards him. Why didn't he confront her? She was right in front of him for years yet he said nothing.
" Kate, please let me make amends"
" You've done enough. I can take care of myself" she responded dashing for the door which had him facepalming himself.
At least she knows the truth now. He heaved a sigh of relief glad to have revealed it to her.

Whatever Alvin said had her tearing up at the entrance. Something she hasn't done since she was diagnosed with depression.
Trying her possible best to calm her down but it was painful to know Alvin punished her for something she didn't do.

The look on Alvin's face when he saw her wheezing was the same look he had the day he found out she was asthmatic but he recovered quicker than he did years ago as he sauntered her way to snatch the bag away detriment to her disapproval: rummaging through it to find the inhaler as the inhaler became suddenly unreachable to Kate.
" Why do you think you're doing? He coerced helping her to get the inhaler then pumped it into her mouth on impulse while she tried wiggling away from his hold but he held her.
" Do you hate me that much? I'm trying to save your life for Christ's sake" he urged yet she didn't stop wriggling when he swept her off her feet carrying her to his office.
Though Kate was against it, she had no choice but to comply as she was busy trying to breathe and he exceeded her expectations.
" I've some medications in my bag" she whispered as he lay her on the comfy bed then grabbed her bag to search for it and saw some injectables.
" What's this? What about the medications I recommended for you? Don't tell me you stopped taking them? He sneered abandoning the bag to lay beside her which had her scooting away from him.
" I lost them. A doctor recommended this. It's effective as well. You're just mad I'm doing well without you" he twitched his mouth wondering if she was right.
Perhaps he was used to taking care of her.
" You need to rest. I'm glad I decided to step out of the office" she hummed softly with heavy eyelids then closed and opened them which amused him.
" Sleep Kate, I'm not going to strangle you in your sleep" only then did she closed her eyes allowing him the opportunity to hold her to sleep.
He stroked her hair slowly while staring at her beautiful face which was creased even in her sleep.
He was determined to make things right between them but she wasn't cooperating.
